1 Hagi Jeriko kumapi vahe'mo'za Israeli vahe'mokizmigu koro nehu'za kumapima ufre kafantamina erigi vagarazageno, mago'mo'e huno fegira atiramige, marerigera osu'ne.
Jericho's gates were shut and barred because of the Israelites. Nobody was allowed in or out.
2 Hagi Ra Anumzamo'a amanage huno Josuana asami'ne, Antahio! Jeriko kuma'ene, kini vahe'ane, hanave sondia vahe'anena ko kagri kazampi ante'noe.
But the Lord told Joshua, “I'm handing over the city of Jericho to you, along with its king and its army of warriors.
3 Hanki kagrane maka sondia vahe'zaganena, Jeriko kumamofona mago mago zagefina magoke zupa kagitere nehinkeno, vuno 6si zage knare uhanatino.
March around the city with your armed men once a day for six days.
Seven priests are to go ahead of the Ark, each carrying a ram's horn. On the seventh day, march seven times around the city, with the priests blowing their rams' horns.
5 Hagi pristi vahe'mo'zama erivazu hu'zama zazate'ma ufema resagenkama nentahinka, ana maka vahera zamasamige'za ivimo agazamo nehu'za rankegege hiho. Anama hanageno'a, Jeriko rankumamofo have keginamo'a fragu vaziramina, ana makamotma kefatgo hutma ana kumapina ufreho.
When you hear a long blast on the rams' horns, everyone shall give a really loud shout. The city walls will collapse, and every man can go right in.”
6 Hagi Nuni nemofo Josua'a pristi vahera kehige'za azageno anage huno zamasami'ne, Ra Anumzamofo huhagerafi huvempage vogisia erisga hutma nevinke'za, 7ni'a pristi vahe'mo'za 7ni'a ufema ve sipisipimofo pazivenuti'ma tro'ma hu'nazana eri'za, huhagerafi huvempage vogisimofo avuga vugoteho.
So Joshua, son of Nun, sent for the priests, and told them, “Pick up the Ark of Agreement, and have seven priests carry seven rams' horns and go ahead of the Ark of the Lord.”
7 Anante Josua'a Israeli vahera zamasamino, Vuta Jeriko rankumara ome kagigahaze. Hianagi zamatrenke'za sondia vahe'mo'za Ra Anumzamofo huhagerafi huvempage vogisimofo avuga vugoteho.
Then he told the people, “Move out! March around the city with the armed men up front ahead of the Ark of the Lord!”
When Joshua finished speaking to the people, the seven priests carrying the seven rams' horns in the presence of the Lord started out, blowing the horns, with the Ark following behind.
9 Hanki mago'a sondia vahe'mo'za pristi vahe'mokizmi zamavuga nevzage'za, mago'amo'za huhagerafi huvempage vogisimofo amefiga'a neage'za, ufena re'za e'naze.
Some of the armed men marched ahead of the priests blowing the horns, while some followed the Ark, the horns being blown continually.
10 Hianagi Josua'a anage huno vahera zamasami'ne, Mago'mo'e huno rankea osuno, mago agerura orutfa hino. Hagi nagrama ranke hihoma hu'nama hanugeta, rankea hugahaze.
However, Joshua ordered them, “Don't shout, don't even talk. Don't say anything until I tell you all to shout—then shout!”
So the Ark of the Lord was carried around the city, circling it once. Then they returned to the camp and spent the night there.
12 Hanki anante knazupa nanterampi Josua'a otige'za, pristi naga'moza'nena Ra Anumzamofo huhagerafi huvempage vogisia erisga hu'za vu'naze.
Joshua got up early in the morning, and the priests picked up the Ark of the Lord.
The seven priests with the seven rams' horns went ahead of the Ark of the Lord, blowing the horns. The armed men went before them and behind the Ark of the Lord, the horns being blown continually.
So on the second day they marched around the city, circling it once, and returned to the camp. They did this for a total of six days.
Hianagi ana knarera 7ni'a zupa Jeriko ran kumara kagi'naze.
On the seventh day they got up at dawn and marched around the city in the usual way, except that this day they circled the city seven times.
The seventh time around when the priests blew the horns, Joshua told the people, “Shout! For today the Lord has given the city to you!
17 Hanki Jeriko kuma'ene anampima me'nea zantamia ana maka Ra Anumzamofontega mago ofa amiankna hutma eri haviza hugahaze. Hianagi afure vahe'ma huzmantoke'zama e'naza naga'ma zamavare frakinegu monko a' Rehapune noma'afima mani'naza naga'anenke zamahe ofriho.
The city and everything in it is to be set apart for the Lord and destroyed. Only Rahab the prostitute and all those with her in her house shall be spared, because she hid the spies we sent.
18 Hianagi kva hiho, Jeriko kumapintira magore hutma mago'zana e'oritfa hiho. Mago'zama erisutma Israeli naga'ma nemanuna kumapina hazenke avreta efregahaze.
But stay away from everything set apart for the Lord, for if you were to take anything you too would be liable to be destroyed, and you would also bring disaster on the camp of Israel.
19 Hianagi silvaretiro, goliretiro, bronsiretiro aenireti'ma tro'mahu zantamima Jeriko kumapinti'ma erisutma, e'i ruotage huno Anumzamofoza me'negu, ana maka eritma Ra Anumzamofo zagoma nentafi omenteho.
All the silver and the gold, and everything made of bronze and iron, are holy to the Lord and they must be placed in the Lord's treasury.”
20 Hanki pristi vahe'mo'za ufema ete nerage'za vahe'mo'zama nentahi'za, ana ufenkrafamofo avariri'za ivimo agazamo huza rankege nehazageno, rankumamofo have keginamo'a fragu vaziramige'za, maka vahe'mo'za zamavune ante'za miko kazigati ufre'za Jeriko rankumara ome eri'naze.
So as soon as they heard the sound of the horns, the people gave a loud shout, and the city walls collapsed. The men went in right away and captured the city.
21 Mareri'za vea'ene mofavrene zamahehana nehu'za bulimakaone, sipisipine, tonkinena, anazanke hu'za zamahehana hu'naze.
They destroyed everything in the city: men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep, and donkeys, all were killed by the sword.
22 Anante Josua'a ko'ma afure netrema mopama ome ke'ogu'ma huzanante'nea netre'na zanasamino, tanagrama huvempa huntena'a kante antetna, ana monko a'mofo nompi umarerita agri'ene naga'anena ome zamavareta atiramiho huno huznantene.
Joshua had told the two men who had gone to explore the land, “Go to the house of Rahab the prostitute and bring her out together with all her family, as you promised.”
23 Hanki ana tare afure ne'tremokea umarerike Rehapune nererane nefane, asarehe'ine ana maka naga'a zamavare'za Israeli naga'ma seli noma emegi'za mani'naza kumamofo megi'a eme zamante'naze.
So the spies went and brought out Rahab, her father and mother, and all who were with her. They brought out the whole family and took them to a place near the Israelite camp.
Then the Israelites burned down the city and everything in it, except for the silver and the gold, and everything made of bronze and iron, which they placed in the treasury of the Lord's house.
Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute and her family because she hid the men Joshua had sent to spy out Jericho. And she lives among the Israelites to this day.
26 Anante Josua'a hanavenentake kazusi kea amanage huno vea nagara zamasami'ne, Mago ne'mo'ma ama Jeriko rankumama azeri otisia ne'mofona, Ra Anumzamo'a azeri haviza hugahie. Hanki agrama eri'zama eri agafama hania knazupa, zage ne'mofavre'a frisigeno, kuma keginamofo kafaramima hagentesia zupa amite'namo'a frigahie. (1 King 16:34)
At that time Joshua declared a curse, saying: “Cursed before the Lord is anyone who attempts to rebuild this city of Jericho. He lays its foundation at the cost of his firstborn son; he sets up its gates at the cost of his youngest son.”
27 Ra Anumzamo'a Josua e'ne mani'negu agri agimo'a anama mani'naza mopafina haruharu huno vuno eno hu'ne.
So the Lord was with Joshua, and his fame spread throughout the land.
