1 Hanki ama'i Israeli vahe'mo'zama Kenani mopama refko hu'za erisantihare'naza zamofo naneke. Hagi pristi ne' Eleazaki, Nuni nemofo Josuaki, mago'mago naga nofite'ma ugota hutere hu'naza vahe'mo'zane ana mopa refko hu'za zamizage'za erisantihare'naze.
This was the land that was allotted to the Israelites to own in the land of Canaan by Eleazar the priest, Joshua, son of Nun, and the leaders of the tribes.
2 Ana mopama refko hu'za eri'nazana 9ni'a naga nofiki 10nima hia nagara amu'nompinti refko hu'ne'za, ana mopa satu zokago re'za Ra Anumzamo'ma Mosesema asmi'nea kante ante'za mopa refko hu'naze.
The decision regarding the land division among the nine and a half tribes was made by casting lots, as the Lord had instructed Moses.
Moses had allotted land to the two and a half tribes east of the Jordan but he had made no allocation to the Levites among them.
4 Hanki Josefe nagara tare naga'nofi efore hu'nazana, e'i Manasene Ifraemikizni nagare. Hagi Livae nagara magore hu'za mopa ozami'naze. Hianagi sipisipima, memema, bulimakao afuzmima, kegavama hu mopane rankuma'ene zamizage'za mani'naze.
The descendants of Joseph had become two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim. The Levites were not given any land, only towns to live in and pasture for their flocks and herds.
So the Israelites followed the instructions the Lord had given Moses in allocating the land.
6 Anante Juda naga'mo'za Josuante Gilgalia ageno, Kenaziti ne' Jefune nemofo Kalepi'a Josuana anage huno asmi'ne, Ra Anumzamo'ma Mosese'ma Anumzamofo Vahe'ma asamigeno, Kades Banea kumate'ma nagriku'ene kagriku'ene hu'nea nanekea kagra ko antahi'nane.
Leaders from the tribe of Judah approached Joshua at Gilgal, and Caleb, son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, said to him, “You remember what the Lord told Moses, the man of God, at Kadesh-barnea about me and you.
7 Hanki ana knafina nagra 40'a kafu hu'nogeno Kades Banea kumatetira frakita vuta mopa ome kehogura Ra Anumzamofo eri'za ne' Mosese'a hunantege'na vutena e'noana, havigea nagra osu'na nagrama ke'noa zanku nagu'areti hu'na tamage naneke eme asmi'noe.
I was forty when Moses, the servant of God, sent me from Kadesh-barnea to spy out the land. When I returned I told the truth in my report.
But those who went with me made our people afraid. However, I have faithfully followed the Lord my God.
9 Higeno ana zupa Mosese'a huvempa huno anage hu'ne, tamagerfa huno ina mopare'ma kagiama rente'nana mopa kagrane mofavre nagaka'ane erisantihareta manisaza mopa mevava hugahie. Na'ankure kagra nagri Anumzana kagu'areti hunka amage ante'nane.
At that time Moses made a solemn promise, telling me, ‘The land where you have walked will belong to you and your children forever, because you faithfully followed the Lord my God.’
Look—the Lord has kept me alive these past forty-five years as he promised, from the time the Lord told Moses this while Israel was wandering in the wilderness. Now I'm eighty-five,
11 Hu'neanagi Mosese'ma hunantege'nama vu'noa zupama me'neankna hankave menina hankaveni'a zahufa me'neanki'na, amne vu'na e'na hu'na hara hugahue.
but I'm still as strong today as when Moses sent me out. I'm as strong and ready for battle or for whatever may come as I was then.
So give me the hill country that the Lord spoke about. You heard at that time about the descendants of Anak who lived there in large, fortified towns. If the Lord is with me I will drive them out as the Lord promised.”
13 Anante Josua'a Jefune nemofo Kalepina Anumzamo aza hinogu asomu ke hunenteno, erisantiharenogu Hebroni kaziga mopa Kalepina ami'ne.
So Joshua blessed Caleb and granted him ownership of Hebron.
14 E'ina hu'negu Hebroni mopamo'a Kenazi ne' Jefune nemofo Kalepine agripinti'ma fore'ma hanaza vahe'mokizmi mopa me'ne. Na'ankure agra maka agu'areti huno Ra Anumzana Israeli vahe'mokizmi Anumzana amage ante'negu anara hu'ne.
So Hebron belonged to Caleb, son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, from that day to this because he had faithfully followed the Lord, the God of Israel.
15 Higeno korapara Hebroni kumamofo agi'a Kiriat-Arbae hu'za nehazane, tusinasi Anaki vahepinti ne' Arba'e nehaza ne'mofo agire asamare'naza kumare. Higeno ana maka mopafina hara forera osigeno, mopamo'a fru huno me'ne.
(Hebron was formerly called Kiriath-arba, named after a great leader of the descendants of Anak.) And the land was at peace.
