1 Hagi anante Bildati'ma hia nanekerera Jopu'a amanage huno kenona hunte'ne,
Job replied [to Bildad], saying this [sarcastically]:
2 Inankna hunka hankavezamima omne'nea vahera zamaza nehunka, zamagra'ama zamaza osuga vahera zamagura vazi'nane.
“I am a very weak and helpless man; and (you [certainly] have not helped me [SAR] very much!/[do you think that] you have helped me [SAR] very much?) [RHQ]
3 Kagra inankna hunka knare antahi'zama omne'nea vahe'mofona antahintahia neminka, oku'ma me'nea knare antahi'zanka'a erinte ama hane?
(You certainly have counseled me well—I, who am not wise at all./[Do you think that] you have counseled me well—I, who am not wise at all?) [RHQ] ([I’m sure you think that] you have given a lot of very good advice to me. [RHQ]
4 Ama ana knare antahintahi zanka'a igati eri'nane? Ana hu'nankeno iza avamu'mo kagri kagipina huvazino ama'na nanekea huamara nehie?
Who helped you to say all those [great/wise] things? Who inspired you to speak like you did?”
5 Fri'naza vahe'mokizmi hankro'ma hagerimofo agu'afima nemaniza naga'mo'za Anumzamofonkura tusi koro nehazageno zamahirahi nere.
“[Because] the spirits of dead people [are afraid], [they] tremble in the waters that are deep under the earth.
6 Fri vahe kumapima nemaniza vahe'mo'za Anumzamofo avurera frara oki amate mani'naze. Vahe'ma zamazeri havizama nehia kumapima me'nea zantamima Anumzamo'ma kenaku'ma hiana, mago zamo'a avurera anteso osu amate me'negeno nege. (Sheol h7585)
God knows all about [those who are in] the place of the dead; there is nothing down there that prevents God from seeing what is there. (Sheol h7585)
7 Hanki noti kaziga me'nea mona anami kankamumpi tro huntegeno me'negeno, Anumzamo'a anami kankamumpi tro huntegeno mago'zamo'a azeoriaza me'ne.
God stretched out the earth over the huge empty space and caused the earth to have nothing [to support it].
8 Hanintirima huno antarakoma hu'nea hampompi Anumzamo'a ko tina eri ano vazintegeno me'ne. Hianagi knagura huno ana timo'a rufuragu vazinora evunoramie.
He fills the thick/dense clouds with water and prevents that water from bursting the clouds.
9 Ana nehuno hamponteti kini tra'a erirefitegeta nonkone.
He causes clouds to (obscure/prevent us from seeing) the moon.
10 Hagerimofo agofetura Anumzamo'a mago avame'zanteti isagana ante'ne. Ana hu'neankino ana isagamo hanine masanena refko hunezanante.
He separated the light from the darkness and put the horizon to mark the place where the night ends and the daytime begins.
11 Anumzamo'ma monamofoma azeri konerigeno'a, monama tro huno regarinte'nea tra'mo'a torevare nehie.
When [he is angry, it is as though] he rebukes the pillars that hold up the sky. They are (shocked/very fearful), and they tremble.
12 Anumzamo'a hankave'areti higeno avunemanentea hagerimo'a, ome rurava nehe. Agra knare antahi'zanteti, hagerimofo agu'afima Rehapu'e nehazageno'ma nemania afi'zaga rehapanetie.
With his power he calmed the sea; with his skill/wisdom he destroyed Rahab, the huge sea monster.
13 Anumzamo'ma asimu'ma antegeno'a, anamima me'nea monamo'a rumsa hutfaza nehie. Ana nehuno hagerimpima mani'neno vanoma nehia osifavea Agra azanuti ahe fri'ne.
With his breath he caused the sky to be bright/clear; with his hand he killed the great dragon in the sea.
14 Ama ana maka zama fore'ma hiana, Anumzamo'a hankave'areti tro'ma hu'nea zamofona, amne agema'a fore higeta kone. Hagi Agra menina sumi ke huno kea nehigeta nentahunanki, monagefinti'ma rankema huno'ma keagama hanigeta, inankna huta tagra antahi amara hugahune?
But those events show only a small amount of his power; [it is as though] we are hearing only whispers of his powerful voice. When we hear thunder, [we say, ] ‘(Who can really understand [how great] his power [is]/No one can [really] understand [how great] his power [is]!) [RHQ]’”
