< Jovu 15 >
1 Hagi anante Tema kumateti ne' Elifasi'a amanage huno Jopuna kenona hunte'ne,
Then Eliphaz replied to Job:
2 Knare antahi'zane vahe'mo'a e'inara huno agafa'a omne kea ohantagege, zage hanati kazigati amuhonentake zaho'mo eno eme vazi zoreankna huno agi'arina osiresine.
“If you were truly wise [RHQ], you would not have replied to us by claiming that you know a lot; what you are saying is just a lot of hot air [MET].
3 Hagi knare antahi'zane vahe'mo'a nena'a omne kea huno ke hara regahifi?
You should not [RHQ] be saying things that do not benefit anyone, using words that do no one any good.
4 Hianagi kagra Anumzamofona korora huntenka, agesga hunka Agri agorga nomanine.
[By what you say, ] you show that you do not revere God, and you are hindering people from meditating/thinking about God.
5 Hagi kumika'amo hugasmigenka nanekea nehane. Kagra knare nanekema hunka vahe'ma azeri savri'ma hu'arera knare hu'nane.
[It is as though] your sins are telling you what to say; you talk like people who will not admit that they are wicked.
6 Nagra huhaviza hunogantoanki, kagri kagi'mo huhaviza hunegante. Kagri kagefu'namo maka havizanka'a huama hunegante.
Everything that you say [MTY] shows that you should be punished; so, it is not necessary for me to show that.
7 Kagra kagesama antahi'nana, vahera fore osu'nege'na nagra esera fore hu'noe hunka nehampi? Hifi kagrama kagesama antahinana, agonaramina fore osu'nege'na nagra fore hutogeno, henka fore hu'ne hunka nehano?
[“Tell me do you know more than everyone else because you think that] you are the first person who was ever born? [SAR, RHQ] Were you born before the hills [were created]?
8 Anumzamo'ma Agra'a keagama retroma hifina kagra mani'nampi? Hagi kagrake'za knare antahi'zana erinampi?
Were you listening when God made all his plans? [SAR, RHQ] Or do you think that you are the only person who is wise?
9 Hagi tagrama antahita ketama osu'nona zana, na'a tagaterenka nentahinka, tagrama antahini'ma osu'nona zana, na'a tagaterenka kagra antahinira hu'nane?
(What do you know that we do not know?/You do not know anything that we do not know.) [RHQ] You do not understand [RHQ] anything that is not also clear to us.
10 Hagi tagri kazigama mani'naza ranra vahe'ma, efeke zamazoka'ma reana vahe'mo'za kagri negafana agatere'za za'zakna mani'naze.
My friends and I are also wise; we acquired [wisdom] from old gray-haired people, from people who were born before your father was born.
11 Hagi knafima mani'nankeno Anumzamo'ma kazeri so'ema hiazamo'a, osi huno knarera huogantefi? Hagi akoheno'ma fru kema hugamia kemo'a, knarera huoganteo?
God wants to comfort you, and to speak gently/kindly to you; (is that not enough for you/do you need more than that)?
12 Na'amo higeno antahintahi kamo'a afe'arera nevigeno, kavumo'a ke so'ea nosie?
Why do you allow yourself to be (carried away/excited) by your emotions? Why are [you very angry, with the result that] your eyes flash?
13 E'ina'ma nehigenka Anumzamofona krimpa ahenentenka, keonke keretira azeri havizana nehane?
You are angry [IDM] with God, and so you [MTY] are criticizing/denouncing him.
14 Hagi ama mopafina magore huno agru vahera omani'neankino, ama mopafina fatgo vahera omanitfa hu'ne.
“(How can any person, [including you, ] be sinless?/No person, [including you], can be sinless.) [RHQ] (How can anyone on the earth be [completely] righteous?/No one on the earth can be [completely] righteous.) [RHQ]
15 Hagi ko, Anumzamo'a ankero vahetmina antahi nozmie. Hagi monafi vahe'mo'enena Anumzamofo avurera agrua osu'naze.
Hey, God does not even trust his angels; he does not consider even them to be [completely] pure.
16 Hagi mopafi vahe'mota agru osuta kumike vahe mani'nonankita, kefo avu'ava'ma hu'zankura tinku'ma ave'nesigeno'ma hiaza huno tusi taga'nete.
So, he certainly does not [trust] abominable/disgusting and depraved/corrupt people who do evil things [as easily] as they drink water [MET].
17 Hagi Jopuga nagra kaveri hugahuanki, kama antahio. Nagrama ke'na anthi'nama hu'noa zamofona huama hu'na kasamigahue.
Job, listen to what I will tell you. I will declare to you what I know,
18 Knare antahi'zane vahe'mo'zama zamafahe'mofompinti'ma eri'naza antahintahia eri fraoki, eri ama' hazage'na nagra antahi'noe.
things that wise men have told me, truths that their ancestors did not keep hidden.
19 Hagi e'inahu antahi'zama eri'naza vahera zamagra mopa agafa vahe mani'naze. Hagi zamagra emani vahera omani'naze.
God gave this land to those ancestors, who were truly wise; no one from another country caused them to think wrongly [IDM].
20 Hagi kefo avu'ava zama nehia vahe'mo'a, mika zupa atazampi manino nevie.
It is wicked people who suffer with great pain all the time that they are alive; that is what happens to those who (oppress/act violently toward) others.
21 Ana nehuno azeri agogofe'zamofo agasasankea antahi vava nehuno, musema huno mani knafinena ha' vahekura korora hu vava nehie.
They constantly hear sounds that terrify them; while they are prospering, bandits attack them.
22 Hagi agrama amentintima hiana, fegi'ma atirami'na hanizampima vanuana, bainati kazinteti nahe frigahaze huno korora nehie.
Wicked people surely know that they will not escape from darkness/death, because [they are sure that someone] is waiting to kill them with a sword.
23 Hagi agra bretigura hakeno vano nehuno, igati bretia erigahueha huno agesa nentahie. Hanizamo'ma retrotra'ma huno'ma tava'oma'are'ma me'neana, ko antahino keno hu'ne.
They wander around, searching for food, saying ‘Where can I find some?’ And they know that they will soon experience disasters.
24 Atazamo'ene hazenke zamo'ene azeri koro higeno, hate vunaku trotra nehia kini ne'mo nehiaza huno antahintahi hakare nehie.
Because they are afraid of those things happening to them, they are afraid and worry that these things will come to them like [the army of] a king comes to attack [their enemies and cause them to suffer] [SIM].
25 Na'ankure azana anakino mopa nemasagino, Hanavenentake Anumzamofona huhaviza hunte'ne.
[Those things happen to them] because they (shook their fists/dared to fight) against Almighty God, and thought that they were strong enough to defeat him.
26 Hagi agra hanko azampina eri'neno Anumzamofona hara huntenaku agareno vu'ne.
They stubbornly [IDM] rush to attack God [as though they were carrying] a strong shield [to protect themselves].
27 Hanki afovamo'a avugosa eri anonevazigeno afafafina afovamo'a avite'neanagi,
They are so fat [that they are unable to fight].
28 agra haviza hu'nea kumapi nemanino, vahe omani zute noma pasru hu'zama hu'nea nompi manigahie.
They will live in cities that have been abandoned, cities which have become a heap of ruins.
29 Hanki fenozamine zago zmimo'enena zazatera omne fanane huge, keonke zama eri nafa'ama hu'zantmimo'a ruzahera huno mopa atumparera vuno enora osugahie.
But they will not remain rich very long; Everything that they own will be taken from them; their possessions will all disappear.
30 Hanki agra hanizampintira atreno ofregahie. Hagi zagemofo amuhomo ne'zana te hagege nehanigeno, Anumzamo'ma asimu'ma antesia zaho'mo, ahe fanane hugahie.
They will not escape from the darkness [of death]; they will be like trees whose branches are burned by fire and whose blossoms are blown away by the wind.
31 Hanki negi vahe'mo'zama nehazaza hu'za nena'a omne fenozantera zamentintia osiho. Na'ankure e'inahu vahe'mo'a agra agu'agesa'ama omne zampintira mago mizana e'origahie.
Since they are very foolish, with the result that they trust in things that are really worthless, then things that are worthless will be all that they get.
32 Hanki e'inahu vahera kasefa vahe mani'neza ame hu'za frisageno, zagasefage ani'nane zafamo'ma hariri hiaza hu'za fanene hugahaze.
Before they are old, they will wither; they will be like [MET] branches that wither and never become green again.
33 Hanki agra nena osu'negeno tagi'za tro hu'naza waini tinkna nehuno, olivi zafa amosaremo raga'a fore osu'negeno ame huno tagiramiankna hugahie.
They will be like [SIM] vines whose grapes fall off before they are ripe, like olive trees whose blossoms fall off before they produce any fruit.
34 Hanki Anumzamofo kema antahino amage'ma onte vahe'mo'a mofavrea kase nontesigeno, havigema huno knare osu kankmunteti'ma zagoma erino feno vahe'ma mani'nesia vahe'mofo seli nomo'a teveregahie.
Wicked/godless people will not have any descendants, and fires will completely burn up the homes of [those who built those homes using] money they received from bribes.
35 Na'ankure ana vahe'mo'a hazenke zamofo amu'ene huno kefo avu'ava'za kasenente. E'ina huno arimpafintira havigema huno vahe'ma revatgama hu'za erifore nehie.
They plan to cause trouble and to do evil things, and they are always preparing to deceive people.”
