The word about Damascus. See, they have made Damascus a town no longer; it has become a waste place.
2 Ana nehanigeno Aroerima me'nea kumatamimpintira vahe'mo'za atre'za vu'za e'za nehanageno, anampina sipisipi afu'mozage mani'nesnage'za, zamazeri korora osugahaze.
Her towns are unpeopled for ever; there the flocks take their rest in peace, without fear.
Ana hanage'za Israeli vahe'mokizmima hiaza huno hankavezmia omenegahie huno Monafi sondia vahe'mofo Ra Anumzamo'a huvempa hu'ne.
The strong tower has gone from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus: the rest of Aram will come to destruction, and be made like the glory of the children of Israel, says the Lord of armies.
4 Hanki ana knama esigeno'a, Israeli vahera hanavezmimo'a evuramisnigeno, zamavufagamo'a hariri huno zaferinare akamregahie.
And it will be in that day that the glory of Jacob will be made small, and the strength of his body will become feeble.
5 Ana nehina mago vahemo Refaimi agupofinti witi raga vasageno, e'nerino mago mago atreankna hu'za osi'a vahe manigahaze.
And it will be like a man cutting the growth of his grain, pulling together the heads of the grain with his arm; even as when they get in the grain in the valley of Rephaim.
6 Ana nehina olivi zafare kanonteti amasagino ruharari higeno amuzare'ma osi'a olivi raga tareo 3'o 4'o 5fu'a meaza hu'za osi'a vahe manigahaze huno Israeli vahe'mokizmi Ra Anumzamo'a huvempa hu'ne.
But it will be like a man shaking an olive-tree, something will still be there, two or three berries on the top of the highest branch, four or five on the outside branches of a fertile tree, says the Lord, the God of Israel.
7 Hagi e'i ana knafina zamagu'a rukrahe hu'za tro'ma huzmante'nea ne' Israeli vahe'mokizmi Ra Anumzama Ruotage'ma hu'nea ne'teke zamavua nege'za antahi amigahaze.
In that day a man's heart will be turned to his Maker, and his eyes to the Holy One of Israel.

He will not be looking to the altars, the work of his hands, or to the wood pillars or to the sun-images which his fingers have made.
9 Hagi ana knafina ha' vahe'mokizmi ranra kumara Israeli vahe'mo'za hahu zamagatenere'za, ana kuma tamimpima nemaniza vahera zamahenati atregahaze. Ana hina ana kumatamimpina vahera omanisigeno, zafa tanopamo hageno marerino refitegahie.
In that day your towns will be like the waste places of the Hivites and the Amorites which the children of Israel took for a heritage, and they will come to destruction.
10 Na'ankure Israeli vahe'mota tamagu'ma vazi'nea Anumzana tamefi hunemita fraki havegantamia tamefi humi'naze. E'ina hu'negu megi'a onke'naza vahe'mofo havi anumzamofo knare waini hoza erita antegahaze.
For you have not given honour to the God of your salvation, and have not kept in mind the Rock of your strength; for this cause you made a garden of Adonis, and put in it the vine-cuttings of a strange god;
11 Hagi ana wainima hankresaza knazupa, ana nanteranke'za ana wainimo'a agata rehakrufeno marerino amosrea ahentegahianagi, tusi'a atama kri knama esigeno'a, ana wainimo'a raga rente so'ea osugahie. Na'ankure zamagra haviza hugahaze.
In the day of your planting you were watching its growth, and in the morning your seed was flowering: but its fruit is wasted away in the day of grief and bitter sorrow.
12 Hanki kokankoka kumategati sondia vahe'ma emeri atru nehaza vahe'mo'za zamagasasama neraza agasasankemo'a, tiramo'ma agasasama neriankna nehie!
Ah! the voice of peoples, like the loud sounding of the seas, and the thundering of great nations rushing on like the bursting out of waters!
13 Hagi rama'a tiramo sasa huno zamagasasama neriaza hu'za krafa hugahazanagi, hankavetino zamarotago hanige'za, ete rukrahe hu'za e'narega vugahaze. Ana nehu'za agonafima zaho'mo vemagu vemagu huno raisi hona'ama eri hareno viankna huno zamarotgo hanige'za fregahaze.
But he will put a stop to them, and make them go in flight far away, driving them like the waste of the grain on the tops of the mountains before the wind, and like the circling dust before the storm.
14 Hanki kinagama sege'za veamo'za tusi zamagogogu hu'naze. Hianagi nanterana ha' vahera omanizageno, ana korozana omane'ne. Hagi ha'ma hurante'za maka zantima eri'naza vahera Anumzamo'a e'inahu huno mizana zamigahie.
In the evening there is fear, and in the morning they are gone. This is the fate of those who take our goods, and the reward of those who violently take our property for themselves.
