< Dagiti Salmo 18 >

1 Ay-ayatenka, O Yahweh, a pagtaudan iti pigsak.
For the leader. Of David, the servant of the Lord, who recited the words of this song to the Lord after the Lord had saved him from the power of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He said: I love you, O Lord, my strength.
2 Ni Yahweh ti dakkel a batok, ti sarikedkedko, ti mangiyeg kaniak iti pannakasalaknib; isuna ti Diosko, ti dakkel a batok; Agkamangak kenkuana. Isuna ti kalasagko, ti sara ti pannakaisalakanko, ken ti natibker a pagkamangak.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, deliverer, my God, my rock, where I take refuge, my shield, my defender, my tower.
3 Umawagak kenni Yahweh a maikari a mapadayawan, ket maisalakanakto manipud kadagiti kabusorko.
Worthy of praise is the Lord whom I call on, he rescues me from all my foes.
4 Pinulipulannak dagiti tali ni patay, ket linipusnak ti naapres a danum ti pannakadadael.
The waves of death broke about me, fearful floods of chaos.
5 Naipulipul kaniak dagiti tali ti sheol; napalab-oganak iti silo ni patay. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol threw cords around me, snares of death came to meet me. (Sheol h7585)
6 Iti pannakariribukko, immawagak kenni Yahweh; nagpatulongak iti Diosko. Nangngegna ti timekko manipud iti templona; nakadanon iti presensiana ti panagpatulongko; dimmanon daytoy kadagiti lapayagna.
In distress I cried to the Lord, and shouted for help to my God; in his temple he heard my voice, into his ears came my cry.
7 Kalpasanna, nagun-gon ken nadayeg ti daga; nadayeg pay ken nagungon dagiti pundasion dagiti banbantay gapu ta nakaunget ti Dios.
Then the earth shook and quaked, mountains trembled to their foundations, and quaked because of his wrath.
8 Rimmuar ti asuk manipud iti agongna, ken gumilgil-ayab nga apuy ti rimuar iti ngiwatna. Dimmarang dagiti beggang gapu iti daytoy.
Smoke went up from his nostrils, devouring fire from his mouth, coals were kindled by it.
9 Linukatanna dagiti langit ket bimmaba, ken adda napuskol a sipnget iti sakaananna.
Then he bent the sky and came down, thick darkness was under his feet.
10 Nakasakay isuna iti maysa a kerubim ket timmayab; nagpangato isuna kadagiti payyak ti angin.
He rode on a cherub and flew, darting on wings of wind,
11 Pinagbalinna ti sipnget nga abbongna, napuskol nga ulep a napno iti danum iti tangatang.
with his screen of darkness about him, in thick dark clouds of water.
12 Manipud iti kimat iti sangoananna, nagtinnag dagiti uraro ken beggang.
At the radiance before him there passed hailstones and coals of fire.
13 Naggurruod ni Yahweh kadagiti langlangit! Nagpukkaw ti Kangangatoan ket nangibaon kadagiti uraro ken kimat. Imbiatna dagiti panana ket nawara dagiti kabusorna;
The Lord thundered from heaven, the Most High uttered his voice.
14 adu a kimat ti nangwarawara kadakuada.
He shot his arrows and scattered them, flashed lightnings, and routed them.
15 Kalpasanna, nagparang dagiti pagayusan ti danum; nawaknitan dagiti pundasion ti lubong iti pukkawmo a makigubat, Yahweh— iti napigsa nga anges dagiti agongmo.
The channels of the sea were revealed, the world was laid bare to its base, at your rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.
16 Inggaw-atna manipud ngato; iniggamannak! Ginuyodnak manipud iti naapres a danum.
He stretched from on high, he seized me, drew me up from the mighty waters,
17 Inispalnak manipud iti napigsa a kabusorko, manipud kadagiti gumurgura kaniak, ta napigsada unay para kaniak.
and saved me from those who hated me – fierce foes, too mighty for me.
18 Immayda a maibusor kaniak iti aldaw ti pannakariribukko ngem ni Yahweh ti saranayko!
In my day of distress they assailed me, but the Lord proved my support.
19 Winayawayaannak iti nalawa a nawaya a lugar; insalakannak gapu ta naay-ayo isuna kaniak.
To a spacious place he brought me, and, for love of me, he saved me.
20 Ginun-gonaannak ni Yahweh gapu iti kinalintegko; pinabaronak gapu ta nadalus dagiti imak.
The Lord repays my innocence, he rewards my cleanness of hands.
21 Ta sinalimetmetak dagiti dalan ni Yahweh ken saanak a sidadangkes a timmallikud iti Diosko.
For I kept the ways of the Lord, nor have wickedly strayed from my God.
22 Ta adda idin iti sangoanak dagiti nalinteg a bilinna; kasta met dagiti alagadenna, saanak a timmallikod kadagitoy.
His commandments were all before me, his statutes I put not away.
23 Saanak met a nagkurang iti sangoananna, ken inyadayok ti bagik iti basol.
And I was blameless before him, guarding myself from sin.
24 Ngarud, insublinak ni Yahweh gapu iti kinalintegko, gapu ta nadalus dagiti imak iti imatangna.
So the Lord repaid my innocence, my cleanness of hands in his sight.
25 Iti siasinoman a napudno, iparangmo ti bagim a napudno; iti maysa a tao nga awan pakapilawanna, iparangmo ti bagim nga awan pakapilawanna.
With the loyal you are loyal, and with the blameless blameless.
26 Iti siasinoman a nasin-aw, iparangmo ti bagim a nasin-aw; ngem nasikapka iti siasinoman a nakillo.
With the pure you show yourself pure, but shrewd with the devious.
27 Ta isalakanmo dagiti maparparigat a tattao, ngem ipababam dagiti addaan napannakkel a matmata!
For the lowly people you save, but haughty eyes you abase.
28 Ta gangtam ti pagsilawak; Lawagan ni Yahweh a Diosko ti kasipngetak.
You are my lamp, Lord, my God who enlightens my darkness.
29 Ta kabaelak a lasaten ti maysa a bangen babaen kenka; babaen iti Diosko kabaelak a lagtoen ti maysa a pader.
With you I can storm a rampart, with my God I can leap a wall.
30 Maipapan iti Dios: naan-anay ti wagasna. Nasin-aw ti sao ni Yahweh! Isuna ti kalasag iti amin a kumamang kenkuana.
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is pure. He is shield to all who take refuge in him.
31 Ta siasino ti Dios no di laeng ni Yahweh? Siasino ti maysa a dakkel a bato no di laeng ti Diostayo?
For who is God but the Lord? And who is a rock but our God?
32 Isu ti Dios a mangmangted iti pigsak a kasla maysa a barikes, a mangikabkabil kadagiti awan pakapilawanna a tattao iti dalanna.
The God who arms me with strength, who cleared and smoothed my way.
33 Papartakenna dagiti sakak a kasla maysa nga ugsa ken ikabilnak kadagiti banbantay!
He made my feet like hinds’ feet, and set me up on the heights.
34 Sansanayenna dagiti imak para iti gubat ken dagiti takiagko a mangbiat iti pana a bronse.
He taught my hands how to fight, and my arms how to bend a bronze bow.
35 Intedmo kaniak ti kalasag ti panangisalakanmo. Tinulongannak ti makannawan nga imam, ken pinatan-oknak ti pabormo.
The shield of your help you gave me, your right hand supports me, you stoop down to make me great.
36 Nangaramidka iti nalawa a lugar a pagbaddekak tapno saan a maikaglis dagiti sakak.
In your strength I took giant strides, and my feet never slipped.
37 Kinamatko dagiti kabusorko ken tiniliwko ida; Saanak a nagsanud agingga a nadadaelda.
So I chased the foe till I caught them, and turned not, till I made an end of them.
38 Rinumekko ida tapno saandan a makabangon; natuangda iti sakaanak.
I smashed them, they could not rise, they fell beneath my feet.
39 Ta inikkannak ti pigsak a kasla barikes a pakigubat; inkabilmo iti babaek dagiti tumakder a maibusor kaniak.
You did arm me with strength for war, you did bow my assailants beneath me.
40 Intedmo kaniak dagiti teltel dagiti kabusorko; Pinarmekko dagiti gumurgura kaniak.
You made my foes turn their back to me, and those who did hate me I finished.
41 Nagpaarayatda, ngem awan ti uray maysa a nangisalakan kadakuada; immawagda kenni Yahweh, ngem saanna ida a sinungbatan.
They cried for help, but none saved them; to the Lord, but he answered them not.
42 Rinumekko ida iti napino a kasla tapuk iti angin; Inbellengko ida a kasla pitak kadagiti pagnaan.
I beat them like dust of the market-place, stamped them like mud of the streets.
43 Inispalnak manipud iti panagririri dagiti tattao. Pinagbalinnak nga ulo kadagiti nasion. Nagserbi kaniak dagiti tattao a saanko nga am-ammo.
From the strife of the peoples you saved me, you made me head of the nations, peoples I knew not did serve me.
44 Apaman a mangngegdak, agtulnogda kaniak; napilitan dagiti ganggannaet nga agruknoy kaniak.
On the instant they hear, they obey me, foreigners come to me cringing.
45 Agpigpigerger dagiti ganggannaet a rimmuar kadagiti pagkamkamanganda.
Foreigners lose courage, and come out of their strongholds trembling.
46 Sibibiag ni Yahweh; mapadayawan koma ti dakkel a batok. Maitan-ok koma ti Dios ti pannakaisalakanko.
The Lord is alive! Blest be my rock! Exalted be God, my protector!
47 Daytoy ti Dios nga agibales para kaniak, a mangparparmek kadagiti nasion nga iturturayak.
The God who gave me revenge, and brought down nations beneath me,
48 Nawayawayaannak manipud kadagiti kabusorko! Pudno, intag-aynak iti ngatoen dagiti tattao a bumusor kaniak! Inispalnak kadagiti naranggas a tattao.
who saved me from angry foes, and set me above my assailants, safe from the violent.
49 Ngarud, agyamanak kenka, Yahweh, kadagiti nasion; agkantaak a mangidaydayaw iti naganmo!
For this I will praise you among the nations, making music, O Lord, to your name:
50 It-ited ti Dios ti naindaklan a balligi iti arina, ken ipakpakitana ti kinapudno iti tulagna iti pinulotanna, kenni David ken kadagiti kaputotanna iti agnanayon.
for great triumphs he grants to his king, and faithful love he shows his anointed, to David and his seed evermore.
