1 Abụ Ọma Devid, mgbe ọ nọ nʼọzara Juda. O Chineke, ị bụ Chineke m, e ji m obi m niile na-achọ gị; akpịrị na-akpọ mkpụrụobi m nkụ, anụ ahụ m na-achọsi gị ike, nʼala kpọrọ nkụ na nke ịda mba ebe mmiri na-adịghị nʼime ya.
A Psalm of David, when he was in the desert of Idumea. O God, my God: to you, I keep vigil until first light. For you, my soul has thirsted, to you my body, in so many ways.
2 Ahụla m gị nʼụlọnsọ gị, hụkwa ike gị na ebube gị.
By a deserted land, both inaccessible and waterless, so I have appeared in the sanctuary before you, in order to behold your virtue and your glory.
3 Nʼihi na ịhụnanya gị dị mma karịa ndụ, aga m eji egbugbere ọnụ m jaa gị mma.
For your mercy is better than life itself. It is you my lips will praise.
4 Ogologo ụbọchị m niile ka m ga-eto gị, aga m eweli aka m abụọ elu kpọkuo aha gị.
So will I bless you in my life, and I will lift up my hands in your name.
5 Mkpụrụobi m ga-enwe afọ ojuju dịka onye ji ezi nri rijuo afọ; aga m eji egbugbere ọnụ jupụtara nʼabụ too gị.
Let my soul be filled, as if with marrow and fatness; and my mouth will give praise with exultant lips.
6 Nʼelu ihe ndina m, ana m echeta gị, ana m atụgharị uche nʼihe banyere gị, ogologo abalị niile.
When I have remembered you on my bed in the morning, I will meditate on you.
7 Nʼihi na ị bụ onye inyeaka m, ana m abụ abụ nʼokpuru ndo nke nku gị.
For you have been my helper. And I will exult under the cover of your wings.
8 Mkpụrụobi m na-arapara gị nʼahụ; aka nri gị na-ejigide m.
My soul has clung close to you. Your right hand has supported me.
9 A ga-ala ndị na-achọ ndụ m nʼiyi; ha ga-arịda ruo ebe omimi nke ụwa.
Truly, these ones have sought my soul in vain. They will enter into the lower parts of the earth.
10 A ga-eji mma agha laa ha nʼiyi, ha ga-abụkwa nri nye nkịta ọhịa.
They will be delivered into the hand of the sword. They will be the portions of foxes.
11 Ma eze ga-aṅụrị ọṅụ nʼime Chineke; ndị niile na-eji aha Chineke aṅụ iyi ga-eto ya, ma a ga-eme ka ọnụ ndị niile na-agha ụgha dere duu.
Truly, the king will rejoice in God: all those who swear by him will be praised, because the mouth of those who speak iniquity has been blocked.
