< Abụ Ọma 49 >
1 Abụ Ọma dịrị onyeisi abụ. Abụ ụmụ Kora. Abụ Ọma. Nụrụnụ nke a, unu mmadụ niile! Geenụ ntị, unu ndị niile bi nʼụwa,
To the Chief Musician. For the Sons of Korah. A Melody. Hear ye, this all ye peoples, Give ear, all ye inhabitants of this passing world;
2 ma ndị dị ala ma ndị dị elu, ma onye ọgaranya ma onye ogbenye.
Both sons of the low, And sons of the high, —Together both rich and needy: —
3 Aga m ekwu okwu amamihe, ihe sị nʼobi m ga-enye nghọta.
My mouth, shall speak forth Wisdom, And the soft utterance of my heart be Understanding:
4 Aga m aṅa ntị nye ilu, aga m e ji ụbọ akwara kọwaa ilu m.
I will bend, to a by-word, mine ear, I will open, on the lyre, mine enigma.
5 Nʼihi gịnị ka m ga-eji tụọ egwu mgbe ụbọchị ọjọọ bịara, mgbe ndị aghụghọ ọjọọ gbara m gburugburu,
Wherefore should I fear in the days of calamity, Though the iniquity of them who lie in wait for me should enclose me?
6 ndị na-atụkwasị obi nʼakụnụba ha ma na-anyakwa isi nʼihi oke ụba ha.
As for them who are trusting in their wealth, —And, in the abundance of their riches, do boast themselves,
7 O nweghị onye pụrụ ịgbapụta ndụ onye ọzọ, maọbụ nye Chineke ụgwọ e ji agbara onye ahụ,
A brother, can none of them, redeem, he cannot give unto God a ransom for himself:
8 nʼihi na ụgwọ e ji agbara ndụ dị oke ọnụ, o nweghị ụgwọ a ga-akwụ nke ga-ezu,
So costly, is the redemption of their soul, That it faileth unto times age-abiding;
9 nke ga-eme ka mmadụ dịrị ndụ ruo ebighị ebi, ma hapụ ịnwụ.
That he should, yet, live on, continually, Should not see corruption.
10 Nʼihi na mmadụ niile na-ahụ na ndị amamihe na-anwụ, ndị nzuzu na ndị na-enweghị uche na-anwụkwa, si otu a hapụrụ ndị ọzọ akụnụba ha.
For it is seen that, the wise, die, Together with the dullard, and the brutish, do they perish, And leave, to others, their wealth:
11 Ili ha na-aghọ ụlọ ha ruo ebighị ebi, ebe obibi ha ruo ọgbọ niile nʼagbanyeghị na ha gụrụ ọtụtụ ala aha ha.
Their, inward thought, is that their houses are for times age-abiding, Their habitations, for generation after generation, —They give their own names unto lands!
12 Ma mmadụ, nʼagbanyeghị akụnụba ya, aghaghị ịnwụ, dịka anụ ọhịa, ọ ga-anwụkwa.
But, a son of earth, though wealthy, cannot tarry, He hath made himself a by-word—Beasts, they resemble:
13 Nke a bụ ihe na-adakwasị ndị na-atụkwasị obi nʼonwe ha, na ndị na-eso ụzọ ha, ndị na-akwado okwu ha. (Sela)
This, their way, is a folly to them, And yet, their followers, with their mouth, approve. (Selah)
14 Dịka atụrụ, ọ bụ ala mmụọ ka a kwadooro ha, ọnwụ ga-abụ onye na-azụ ha dịka atụrụ, ma ndị na-eme ihe ziri ezi ga-emeri ha nʼụtụtụ. Ozu ha ga-erekasị nʼime ili nʼebe dị anya site nʼụlọeze ha. (Sheol )
Like sheep—into hades, are they driven, Death shall shepherd them, —And the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning, Even their form, is to decay, Hades, is all that remaineth of a habitation for him. (Sheol )
15 Ma Chineke ga-agbapụta ndụ m site nʼili, nʼezie, ọ ga-akpọrọ m nye onwe ya. (Sela) (Sheol )
But, God, will redeem my soul, out of the hand of hades, For he will take me. (Selah) (Sheol )
16 Amala jijiji mgbe mmadụ na-aba oke ụba, mgbe ịdị ebube nke ụlọ ya na-amụba,
Do not fear, When a man becometh rich, When the glory of his house increaseth;
17 nʼihi na ọ ga-agba aka laa ma ọ nwụọ, ịdị ebube ya agaghị eso ya banye nʼili.
For, when he dieth, he shall take, nothing, his glory shall not descend after him;
18 Nʼagbanyeghị na ọ gụrụ onwe ya dịka onye a gọziri agọzi mgbe ọ dị ndụ, ọ bụ ezie na ndị mmadụ na-eto gị mgbe ị na-enwe ọganihu,
For, though, his own self—while he lived, he used to bless, And they will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself,
19 ọ ga-eso ọgbọ ndị nna nna ya ndị na-agaghị ahụkwa ìhè ọzọ.
He shall enter as far as the circle of his fathers, Nevermore, shall they see the light.
20 Ndị bara ụba nke na-enweghị nghọta dịka anụ ọhịa nke ga-ala nʼiyi.
A son of earth though wealthy, who discerneth not, Hath made himself a by-word, Beasts, they resemble.
