1 Abụ Ọma Devid. Nke o dere mgbe o si nʼihu Absalọm gbapụ ọsọ ndụ. O Onyenwe anyị, ọnụọgụgụ ndị iro m dị ọtụtụ. Ọtụtụ ndị mmadụ na-ebili imegide m.
A Psalme of Dauid, when he fled from his sonne Absalom. Lord, howe are mine aduersaries increased? howe many rise against me?
2 Ọtụtụ nʼime ha na-ekwu banyere m sị, “Chineke agaghị azọpụta ya.” (Sela)
Many say to my soule, There is no helpe for him in God. (Selah)
3 Ma gị, Onyenwe anyị bụ ọta na-ekpuchi m; I na-ebuli isi m elu na-eme ka m bụrụ onye nwere nsọpụrụ.
But thou Lord art a buckler for me: my glory, and the lifter vp of mine head.
4 Etikuru m Onyenwe anyị mkpu akwa, ọ nụkwara olu m, sitekwa nʼugwu nsọ ya za m. (Sela)
I did call vnto the Lord with my voyce, and he heard me out of his holy mountaine. (Selah)
5 Edinara m ala, hie ụra, ma bilikwa nʼụtụtụ nʼudo, nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị na-eche m nche.
I layed me downe and slept, and rose vp againe: for the Lord susteined me.
6 A sịkwa na iri puku kwụrụ puku ndị iro agbaa m gburugburu, agaghị m atụ egwu ọbụla.
I will not be afrayde for ten thousand of the people, that should beset me round about.
7 Bilie Onyenwe anyị! Zọpụta m Chineke m! Tie ndị iro m niile aka nʼagba; tipụkwa ndị ajọ omume eze nʼọnụ.
O Lord, arise: helpe me, my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies vpon the cheeke bone: thou hast broken the teeth of the wicked.
8 Nʼihi na nzọpụta na-esite nʼebe Onyenwe anyị nọ na-abịa. Ka ngọzị gị dịịrị ndị gị niile. (Sela)
Saluation belongeth vnto the Lord, and thy blessing is vpon thy people. (Selah)
