< Maika 6 >
1 Geenụ ntị nʼihe Onyenwe anyị na-ekwu, “Bilienụ ọtọ, ma kwuonụ nʼihu ugwu niile ụzọ m siri mejọọ unu. Ka ugwu nta niile nụkwa ihe i nwere ikwu.
Hear, I pray you, what, Yahweh, is saying, —arise thou, maintain thy controversy before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice: —
2 “Ma ugbu a geenụ ntị, unu ugwu niile, geenụ ntị, unu ntọala ebighị ebi niile nke ụwa, nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị nwere ikpe megide ndị nke ya. Ọ bụkwa Izrel ka ọ ga-arụso ụka.
Hear, ye mountains, the controversy of Yahweh, and ye lasting rocks, the foundations of the earth, —for, a controversy, hath Yahweh, with his people, and, with Israel, will he dispute.
3 “Unu bụ ndị m, gịnị ka m mere unu? Gwanụ m ụzọ m si boo unu ibu arọ? Zaanụ m.
O my people! what have I done to thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? Testify thou against me!
4 Nʼihi na e si m nʼala Ijipt kpọpụta unu. Agbapụtara m unu site na ịbụ ohu, nye unu Mosis na Erọn na Miriam ka ha nyere unu aka.
For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and, out of the house of slaves, I ransomed thee, —and I sent before thee, Moses, Aaron and Miriam.
5 Ndị m, chetanụ ihe Balak eze Moab zubere na ihe Belam nwa Beoa zara ya. Chetanụ njem unu site nʼobodo Shitim ruo obodo Gilgal, ka unu hụ nzọpụta nke Onyenwe anyị.”
O my people! remember, I pray you, what Balak king of Moab, counseled, and what Balaam son of Beor, answered him, —from the Acacias as far as Gilgal, that ye may know the righteousness of Yahweh.
6 Gịnị ka m ga-eji bịa nʼihu Onyenwe anyị, ịkpọ isiala nʼihu Chineke onye dị oke elu? M ga-eji onyinye aja nsure ọkụ bịa nʼihu ya nke e ji ụmụ ehi gbara otu afọ chụọ?
Wherewith, shall I come before Yahweh? bow myself to God on high? Shall I come before him with ascending-sacrifice? with calves of a year old?
7 Ọ ga-atọ Onyenwe anyị ụtọ, bụ ọtụtụ puku ebule, ya na iri puku mmanụ na-asọ dịka iyi? Aga m eji nwa mbụ m chụọ aja njehie m, maọbụ mkpụrụ nke ahụ m chụọ aja maka mmehie nke mkpụrụobi m?
Will Yahweh, be pleased, with thousands of rams? with myriads of torrents of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression? the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
8 Nʼihi na o gosila gị, gị mmadụ, ihe dị mma. Gịnịkwa bụ ihe ahụ Onyenwe anyị na-achọ nʼaka gị, Ọ bụ na ọ bụghị ikpe ziri ezi, na ịhụ ime ebere nʼanya, na iji obi dị umeala soro Chineke gị na-eje ije?
He hath told thee, O son of earth, what is good, —what then is, Yahweh, seeking of thee, but, to do justice, to delight in lovingkindness, and humbly to walk with thy God?
9 Gee ntị! Olu Onyenwe anyị na-ada na-akpọku ndị obodo ahụ, nʼezie, ịtụ egwu gị bụ inwe amamihe. “Nụrụnụ olu mkpanaka na Onye hiwere ya.
The voice of Yahweh, to the city, crieth out, With safety for him who regardeth his name, —Hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.
10 Ọ ga-abụ na m ga-echezọ akụ ị kpara nʼụzọ na-ezighị ezi, gị ụlọ ajọ omume, ya na ihe ọtụtụ nke na-erughị eru unu ji ere ahịa, bụ nke abụrụ ọnụ?
Even yet, are there, in the house of the lawless one, the treasures of lawlessness, —and the scant measure—accurst?
11 M ga-asị onye na-eji ihe ọtụtụ aghụghọ azụ ahịa, na onye bu akpa nke ihe ọtụtụ aghụghọ dị iche iche juru nʼime ya na aka ya dị ọcha?
Shall I be pure with lawless balances? or with bag of deceitful weights?
12 Ndị ọgaranya unu bụ ndị na-eme ihe ike, ndị mmadụ nọ nʼime gị na-agha ụgha, ire ha na-ekwu naanị okwu aghụghọ.
For, her rich men, are full of violence, and, her inhabitants, have spoken falsehood, —and, their tongue, is deceitful in their mouth.
13 Nʼihi ya, ebidola m ịla unu nʼiyi, na ime ka unu bụrụ ndị e bibiri nʼihi mmehie unu
Moreover also, I, have made thee sick with smiting thee, —laying thee waste because of thy sins.
14 Unu ga-eri nri ma afọ agaghị eju unu; afọ agaghị ejukwa unu eju. Unu ga-ewezuga ihe, ma unu agaghị echekwa ha, nʼihi na ihe ọbụla unu nwere ike chekwaa, ka m ga-ewere nyefee nʼaka mma agha.
Thou, shalt eat—and not be satisfied, but be shrunk with hunger within thee, —Though thou remove, yet shalt thou not set in safety, and, what thou dost set in safety, to the sword, will I deliver.
15 Unu ga-akụ mkpụrụ, ma unu agaghị ewe ihe ubi, unu ga-azọchapụta mmanụ oliv, ma unu agaghị ete ya nʼahụ unu; unu ga-azọchapụtakwa mmanya site na mkpụrụ vaịnị, ma unu agaghị aṅụ mmanya ya.
Thou, shalt sow, but shalt not reap, —thou, shalt tread the olive, but shalt not anoint thee with oil, also the grape, but shalt not drink the wine.
16 Unu edebela ụkpụrụ niile bụ nke Omri, na omenaala niile nke ụlọ Ehab, unu gbasokwara ndụmọdụ ha niile. Nʼihi ya, aga m enyefe unu nʼaka mbibi mee ka ndị gị ghọọkwa ihe ọchị, unu ga-aghọkwara mba niile ihe nkọcha.”
For strictly observed are the statutes of Omri, and every doing of the house of Ahab, and ye have walked in their counsels, —to the end I may give thee up to desolation, and her inhabitants to hissing, that, the reproach of peoples, ye may bear.
