1 Ahụhụ ga-adịrị ala ahụ a na-anụ ụzụ ọtụtụ nku nʼime ya, ala ahụ dị nʼofe iyi ukwu niile nke Kush.
Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Cush:
2 Ala nke na-ezipụ ndị ozi ya site nʼosimiri, bụ ndị na-eji ụgbọ mmiri papịrọs nʼaga nʼelu mmiri. Gaanụ ngwangwa, unu ndị ozi dị nkọ gakwuru ndị toro ogologo nke ahụ ha na-akwọ mụrụmụrụ, gakwuru ndị a na-atụ egwu nʼebe niile, mba na-achọ okwu na ụka, nke na-azọpịakwa azọpịa, ndị osimiri dị iche iche kewara ala ha.
That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and stripped, to a people terrible from their beginning to this time; a nation powerful and oppressive, whose land the rivers have spoiled!
3 Unu niile bi nʼelu ụwa dum, na unu ndị nwere ebe obibi nʼụwa, geenụ m ntị. Mgbe e buliri ọkọlọtọ elu nʼelu ugwu niile, lee anya; mgbe a fụrụ opi ike, gee ntị.
All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.
4 Nʼihi na ihe ndị a bụ ihe Onyenwe anyị gwara m, “Aga m anọ jụụ na-elepụ anya site nʼebe obibi m, dịka mgbe igirigi na-ada nʼoge okpomọkụ nke owuwe ihe ubi, na dịka anyanwụ si acha nʼoge okpomọkụ.”
For so the LORD said to me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
5 Nʼihi na tupu oge owuwe ihe ubi eruo, mgbe ifuru dapụsịrị, mgbe okoko na-aghọ mkpụrụ vaịnị nke ka na-achata achata, ọ ga-eji mma oge gbuchapụ ụmụ alaka ya, ọ ga-egbutu ma wezugakwa alaka ndị ahụ na-awasa awasa.
For before the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.
They shall be left together to the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.
7 Ma mgbe ahụ, a ga-ewetara Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile onyinye dị iche iche, site na ndị toro ogologo, ndị ahụ na-akwọ mụrụmụrụ, site na ndị a na-atụ egwu nʼebe niile, bụ mba ndị okwu na ụka, nke na-azọpịakwa azọpịa, ndị osimiri dị iche iche kewara ala ha. A ga-eweta onyinye a nʼUgwu Zayọn, nʼebe ahụ a na-akpọku aha Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile.
In that time shall the present be brought to the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and stripped, and from a people terrible from their beginning to this time; a nation powerful and oppressive, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.
