1 Ahụhụ ga-adịrị ala ahụ a na-anụ ụzụ ọtụtụ nku nʼime ya, ala ahụ dị nʼofe iyi ukwu niile nke Kush.
Ha! land shadowing with wings, which art beyond the rivers of Cush,
2 Ala nke na-ezipụ ndị ozi ya site nʼosimiri, bụ ndị na-eji ụgbọ mmiri papịrọs nʼaga nʼelu mmiri. Gaanụ ngwangwa, unu ndị ozi dị nkọ gakwuru ndị toro ogologo nke ahụ ha na-akwọ mụrụmụrụ, gakwuru ndị a na-atụ egwu nʼebe niile, mba na-achọ okwu na ụka, nke na-azọpịakwa azọpịa, ndị osimiri dị iche iche kewara ala ha.
that sendest ambassadors over the sea, and in vessels of papyrus upon the waters, [saying, ] Go, swift messengers, to a nation scattered and ravaged, to a people terrible from their existence and thenceforth; to a nation of continued waiting and of treading down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!
3 Unu niile bi nʼelu ụwa dum, na unu ndị nwere ebe obibi nʼụwa, geenụ m ntị. Mgbe e buliri ọkọlọtọ elu nʼelu ugwu niile, lee anya; mgbe a fụrụ opi ike, gee ntị.
All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, when a banner is lifted up on the mountains, see ye, and when a trumpet is blown, hear ye!
4 Nʼihi na ihe ndị a bụ ihe Onyenwe anyị gwara m, “Aga m anọ jụụ na-elepụ anya site nʼebe obibi m, dịka mgbe igirigi na-ada nʼoge okpomọkụ nke owuwe ihe ubi, na dịka anyanwụ si acha nʼoge okpomọkụ.”
For thus hath Jehovah said unto me: I will take my rest, and I will observe from my dwelling-place like clear heat upon herbs, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
5 Nʼihi na tupu oge owuwe ihe ubi eruo, mgbe ifuru dapụsịrị, mgbe okoko na-aghọ mkpụrụ vaịnị nke ka na-achata achata, ọ ga-eji mma oge gbuchapụ ụmụ alaka ya, ọ ga-egbutu ma wezugakwa alaka ndị ahụ na-awasa awasa.
For before the harvest, when the blossoming is over, and the flower becometh a ripening grape, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning-knives, and take away [and] cut down the branches.
6 A ga-ahapụ ozu ndị agha ha ka anụ ufe nke ugwu na ụmụ anụ ọhịa rie ha. Ụmụ nnụnụ ga-eri anụ ha nʼoge okpomọkụ, ma ụmụ anụ ọhịa ga-eri ha nʼoge oyi.
They shall be left together unto the mountain birds of prey, and to the beasts of the earth; and the birds of prey shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.
7 Ma mgbe ahụ, a ga-ewetara Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile onyinye dị iche iche, site na ndị toro ogologo, ndị ahụ na-akwọ mụrụmụrụ, site na ndị a na-atụ egwu nʼebe niile, bụ mba ndị okwu na ụka, nke na-azọpịakwa azọpịa, ndị osimiri dị iche iche kewara ala ha. A ga-eweta onyinye a nʼUgwu Zayọn, nʼebe ahụ a na-akpọku aha Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile.
In that time shall a present be brought unto Jehovah of hosts of a people scattered and ravaged, — and from a people terrible from their existence and thenceforth, a nation of continued waiting and of treading down, whose land the rivers have spoiled, ...to the place of the name of Jehovah of hosts, the mount Zion.
