1 Nke a bụ amụma megide Babilọn nke Aịzaya nwa Emọz hụrụ.
The oracle on Babylon, —of which Isaiah, son of Amoz had vision: —
2 Welienụ ọkọlọtọ agha nʼelu ugwu tọgbọrọ nʼefu. Kpọkuonụ ndị agha. Feerenụ ha aka, ka ha site nʼọnụ ụzọ ama nke ndị a maara aha ha bata nʼime obodo ukwu ahụ na-anya isi.
Upon a bare mountain, lift ye up a standard, Raise high the voice to them, Wave the hand, That they may enter the doors of nobles.
3 Enyela m ndị m kwadoro maka agha iwu; akpọọla m ndị ọka agha m oku, bụ ndị na-aṅụrị ọṅụ na mmeri m, ka ha gosipụta oke iwe m. E, ndị m kpọrọ bụ ndị ahụ na-aṅụrị ọṅụ ịhụ na m meriri ndị iro m.
I myself, have given charge to my hallowed ones, —Yea I have called My heroes in showing mine anger, My proudly exulting ones.
4 Gee ntị nụrụ ụzụ na-ada nʼugwu niile; gee ntị nụrụ ụzụ yiri ụzụ nke igwe mmadụ na-eme. Gee ntị nụrụ mkpọtụ na-ada nʼetiti alaeze dị iche iche. Dịka mkpọtụ na-eme mgbe ọtụtụ mba na-ezukọta nʼotu ebe. Ọ bụ Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile na-achịkọta ndị agha ya nʼihi ibu agha.
The noise of a multitude in the mountains, A resemblance of many people, —The noise of a tumult of kingdoms Nations gathered together, Yahweh of hosts, mustering a host for battle!
5 Ha si nʼobodo dị iche iche, nke dị anya na nke dị na nsọtụ ụwa na-abịa. Ha bu ngwa agha na-egosi oke iwe Onyenwe anyị na-abịa imebi ala ahụ niile.
They are coming in From a land far away. From the utmost bound of the heavens, —Yahweh—with his weapons of indignation, To destroy the land.

7 Nʼihi nke a, aka ndị mmadụ ga-ada mba, obi ga-alọkwa ndị mmadụ mmiri.
For this cause—All hands, shall hang down, —and Every mortal heart, melt.

And they shall be in distress—Writhings and pains, shall lay hold, As a woman in childbirth, shall they be in pangs, —Everyone, at his neighbour, shall look in amazement, Faces of flames, their faces!

For the stars of the heavens and their constellations, shall not flash forth their light, —Obscured shall be the sun in his going forth, And the moon, shall not shed her light.
11 Aga m ata ụwa ahụhụ nʼihi mmehie ya, taakwa ndị na-emebi iwu ahụhụ nʼihi mmehie ha. Ịnya isi nke onye mpako ka m ga-egwepịa, ya na nganga onye na-adịghị eme ebere.
And I will visit, upon the inhabited earth, calamity!, And upon the lawless, their punishment, And will quiet the arrogance of the proud, And the loftiness of tyrants, will I lay low.
12 Aga m eme ka mmadụ dị ụkọ karịa ọlaedo a nụchara anụcha, ha ga-akọ ụkọ karịa ọlaedo si Ọfịa.

For this cause, the heavens, will I disturb, And, the earth, shall tremble out of her place, —In the wrath of Yahweh of hosts, And in the day of the glow of his anger.
14 Ọ ga-erukwa na onye ọbụla nʼime ha ga-eche ihu ya nʼụzọ gawara ebe ndị ya nọ. Ha ga-agbarakwa ọsọ laghachi nʼala nke aka ha dịka mgbada na-agbanarị ndị na-achụ nta, maọbụ ụmụ atụrụ ndị na-enweghị onye na-azụ ha.

And, bows, shall dash the young to pieces, —And on the fruit of the womb, will they have no pity, Over children, will their eye throw no shield.
19 Babilọn, bụ ọla mma nke alaeze niile, ịma mma na ebube ndị Kaldịa, mgbe Chineke ga-akwatu ya ọ ga-adị ka Sọdọm na Gọmọra.
Thus shall Babylon—The most lovely of kingdoms, The majestic beauty of the Chaldees—Become as in the divine overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah.
20 Ọ gaghị abụ ebe obibi ọzọ ruo mgbe ebighị ebi. Site nʼotu ọgbọ ruo nʼọgbọ ọzọ ndị mmadụ agaghị ebi nʼime ya. Ọ dịghị onye Arebịa na-ejegharị ejegharị ga-ama ụlọ ikwu ya nʼime ya; ndị ọzụzụ atụrụ agaghị ekwe ka atụrụ ha makpuru nʼebe ahụ.
It shall not be dwelt in for ever, Neither shall it be inhabited from generation to generation, —Neither shall encamp there, an Arab, Nor, shepherds, fold their flocks there.
21 Ọ ga-abụ ebe obibi nye anụ ọhịa niile bi nʼọzara. Ụlọ dị nʼebe ahụ ga-abụkwa ebe obibi nye nkịta ọhịa, na ikwighịkwighị, nʼebe ahụ kwa ka ụmụ mkpi ọhịa ga na-awụgharị.
Then shall lie down there, wild beasts, And filled shall be their houses with owls, —Then shall inhabit there, the ostrich, And shaggy creatures, shall dance there.
22 A ga-anụkwa ụda akwa anụ ọhịa, na ịgbọ ụja nkịta ọhịa nʼime ụlọ ha niile e wusiri ike. Nkịta ọhịa ga-ebikwa nʼime ụlọ ọma niile dị nʼebe ahụ. Lee na oge ha ji emezu adịla nso, a gaghị emekwa ka oge imezu ihe ndị a dị anya.
And jackals shall answer, in their citadels, And wild dogs, in their voluptuous palaces, —And near to come is her time, And, her days, shall not be delayed.
