In conclusion, Brothers, pray for us — pray that the Lord’s Message may spread rapidly, and be received everywhere with honour, as it was among you;
2 Ka e nwee ike napụta anyị nʼaka ndị ajọ mmadụ, nʼihi na ọ bụghị mmadụ niile nwere okwukwe.
and that we may be preserved from wrong-headed and wicked men — for it is not every one who believes in Christ.
3 Ma Onyenwe anyị kwesiri ntụkwasị obi, ọ ga-echebe unu ma gbaakwa unu ume ka unu hapụ ịdaba nʼaka ajọ onye ahụ.
But the Lord will not fail you; he will give you strength, and guard you from Evil.
4 Anyị nwere nchekwube nʼime Onyenwe anyị na unu na-eme ma ga-anọgidekwa na-eme ihe niile anyị nyere unu nʼiwu.
Yes, and the confidence that our union with the Lord enables us to place in you leads us to believe that you are doing, and will do, what we direct you.
5 Ka Onyenwe anyị duzie obi unu ịghọta ịhụnanya Chineke ya na ụdị ntachiobi Kraịst nwere.
May the Lord bring you to the love of God, and to the patience of the Christ.
6 Ụmụnna, nke a bụ iwu anyị na-enye unu site nʼaha Onyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst. Ka unu zere onye ọbụla kpọrọ onwe ya onye kwere ekwe nʼime unu na-ebi ndụ umengwụ na onye na-adịghị eso ozizi nke unu natara nʼaka anyị.
We urge you, Brothers, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to avoid any Brother who is living an ill-ordered life, which is not in agreement with the teaching that you received from us.
7 Nʼihi na unu maara nke ọma nʼime onwe unu na unu kwesiri ịgbaso omume anyị. O nweghị mgbe ọbụla unu hụrụ anyị ka anyị na-agagharị hapụ ọrụ anyị kwesiri ịrụ.
For you know well that you ought to follow our example. When we were with you, our life was not ill-ordered,
8 O nweghị onye ọbụla anyị riri nri ya nke anyị na-ebughị ụzọ kwụọ ya ụgwọ. Kama anyị rụsịrị ọrụ ike, dọgbukwaa onwe anyị nʼọrụ ehihie na abalị, ka anyị ghara ịbụ ibu arọ nye onye ọbụla.
nor did we eat any one’s bread without paying for it. Night and day, labouring and toiling, we used to work at our trades, so as not to be a burden upon any of you.
9 Ọ bụghị na anyị enweghị ikike ịnara unu ihe oriri, kama ọ bụ ka anyị kuziere unu site nʼomume anyị ihe unu ga na-eṅomi.
This was not because we had not a right to receive support, but our object was to give you a pattern for you to copy.
10 Ọ bụladị mgbe anyị na unu nọ, anyị nyere unu iwu a sị, “Onye ọbụla na-agaghị ọrụ ya erila nri.”
Indeed, when we were with you, what we urged upon you was — ‘If a man does not choose to work, then he shall not eat.’
11 Ma anyị anụla na ụfọdụ nʼetiti unu na-anọ nkịtị na-arụghị ọrụ ọbụla, kama ndị dị otu a na-agagharị, na-etinye anya nʼihe na-agbasaghị ha. Ha anaghị arụ ọrụ ọbụla.
We hear that there are among you people who are living ill-ordered lives, and who, instead of attending to their own business, are mere busy-bodies.
All such people we urge, and entreat, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to attend quietly to their business, and earn their own living.
13 Otu ọ dị ụmụnna, unu ekwela ka ike ịrụ ọrụ ọma gwụ unu.
You, Brothers, must not grow weary of doing what is right.

If any one disregards what we have said in this letter, mark that man and avoid his company, that he may feel ashamed.
15 Nʼagbanyeghị nke a, unu agụkwala ha dị ka ndị iro unu, kama nyenụ ha ndụmọdụ dị ka ụmụnna.
Yet do not think of him as an enemy, but caution him as you would a Brother.
16 Ugbu a, ka Onyenwe anyị, onye udo na-esi nʼaka ya abịa tụkwasịrị unu udo ya mgbe niile, nʼime ọnọdụ ọbụla unu nọ nʼime ya. Onyenwe anyị nọnyekwara unu.
May the Lord, from whom all peace comes, himself give you his peace at all times and in all ways. May he be with you all.
17 Mụ onwe m bụ Pọl ji aka m depụta ekele a, nke m na-ekele unu niile. Nke a bụ ihe e ji arịba akwụkwọ niile m dere ama. Otu a ka m si ede ihe.
I, Paul, add this greeting in my own handwriting. It is my signature to every letter. This is how I write.
18 Ka amara Onyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst dịnyere unu niile.
May the blessing of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
