भजन संहिता 10

1 १ हे यहोवा तू क्यों दूर खड़ा रहता है? संकट के समय में क्यों छिपा रहता है?

Why do you keep far away, O Lord? why are you not to be seen in times of trouble?

2 २ दुष्टों के अहंकार के कारण दीन पर अत्याचार होते है; वे अपनी ही निकाली हुई युक्तियों में फँस जाएँ।

The evil-doer in his pride is cruel to the poor; let him be taken by the tricks of his invention.

3 ३ क्योंकि दुष्ट अपनी अभिलाषा पर घमण्ड करता है, और लोभी यहोवा को त्याग देता है और उसका तिरस्कार करता है।

For the evil-doer is lifted up because of the purpose of his heart, and he whose mind is fixed on wealth is turned away from the Lord, saying evil against him.

4 ४ दुष्ट अपने अहंकार में परमेश्वर को नहीं खोजता; उसका पूरा विचार यही है कि कोई परमेश्वर है ही नहीं।

The evil-doer in his pride says, God will not make a search. All his thoughts are, There is no God.

5 ५ वह अपने मार्ग पर दृढ़ता से बना रहता है; तेरे धार्मिकता के नियम उसकी दृष्टि से बहुत दूर ऊँचाई पर हैं, जितने उसके विरोधी हैं उन पर वह फुँकारता है।

His ways are ever fixed; your decisions are higher than he may see: as for his haters, they are as nothing to him.

6 ६ वह अपने मन में कहता है कि “मैं कभी टलने का नहीं; मैं पीढ़ी से पीढ़ी तक दुःख से बचा रहूँगा।”

He has said in his heart, I will not be moved: through all generations I will never be in trouble.

7 ७ उसका मुँह श्राप और छल और धमकियों से भरा है; उत्पात और अनर्थ की बातें उसके मुँह में हैं।

His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and false words: under his tongue are evil purposes and dark thoughts.

8 ८ वह गाँवों में घात में बैठा करता है, और गुप्त स्थानों में निर्दोष को घात करता है, उसकी आँखें लाचार की घात में लगी रहती है।

He is waiting in the dark places of the towns: in the secret places he puts to death those who have done no wrong: his eyes are secretly turned against the poor.

9 ९ वह सिंह के समान झाड़ी में छिपकर घात में बैठाता है; वह दीन को पकड़ने के लिये घात लगाता है, वह दीन को जाल में फँसाकर पकड़ लेता है।

He keeps himself in a secret place like a lion in his hole, waiting to put his hands on the poor man, and pulling him into his net.

10 १० लाचार लोगों को कुचला और पीटा जाता है, वह उसके मजबूत जाल में गिर जाते हैं।

The upright are crushed and made low, and the feeble are overcome by his strong ones.

11 ११ वह अपने मन में सोचता है, “परमेश्वर भूल गया, वह अपना मुँह छिपाता है; वह कभी नहीं देखेगा।”

He says in his heart, God has no memory of me: his face is turned away; he will never see it.

12 १२ उठ, हे यहोवा; हे परमेश्वर, अपना हाथ बढ़ा और न्याय कर; और दीनों को न भूल।

Up! O Lord; let your hand be lifted: give thought to the poor.

13 १३ परमेश्वर को दुष्ट क्यों तुच्छ जानता है, और अपने मन में कहता है “तू लेखा न लेगा?”

Why has the evil-doer a low opinion of God, saying in his heart, You will not make search for it?

14 १४ तूने देख लिया है, क्योंकि तू उत्पात और उत्पीड़न पर दृष्टि रखता है, ताकि उसका पलटा अपने हाथ में रखे; लाचार अपने आपको तुझे सौंपता है; अनाथों का तू ही सहायक रहा है।

You have seen it; for your eyes are on sorrow and grief, to take it into your hand: the poor man puts his faith in you; you have been the helper of the child who has no father.

15 १५ दुर्जन और दुष्ट की भुजा को तोड़ डाल; उनकी दुष्टता का लेखा ले, जब तक कि सब उसमें से दूर न हो जाए।

Let the arm of the sinner and the evil-doer be broken; go on searching for his sin till there is no more.

16 १६ यहोवा अनन्तकाल के लिये महाराज है; उसके देश में से जाति-जाति लोग नाश हो गए हैं।

The Lord is King for ever and ever; the nations are gone from his land.

17 १७ हे यहोवा, तूने नम्र लोगों की अभिलाषा सुनी है; तू उनका मन दृढ़ करेगा, तू कान लगाकर सुनेगा

Lord, you have given ear to the prayer of the poor: you will make strong their hearts, you will give them a hearing:

18 १८ कि अनाथ और पिसे हुए का न्याय करे, ताकि मनुष्य जो मिट्टी से बना है फिर भय दिखाने न पाए।

To give decision for the child without a father and for the broken-hearted, so that the man of the earth may no longer be feared.
