भजन संहिता 69

1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. “शोशनीम” धुन पर आधारित. दावीद की रचना. परमेश्वर, मेरी रक्षा कीजिए, क्योंकि जल स्तर मेरे गले तक आ पहुंचा है.

For the Chief Musician; set to Shoshannim. [A Psalm] of David. Save me, O God; For the waters are come in unto my soul.

2 मैं गहरे दलदल में डूब जा रहा हूं, यहां मैं पैर तक नहीं टिक पा रहा हूं. मैं गहरे जल में आ पहुंचा हूं; और चारों ओर से जल मुझे डूबा रहा है.

I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

3 सहायता के लिए पुकारते-पुकारते मैं थक चुका हूं; मेरा गला सूख चुका है. अपने परमेश्वर की प्रतीक्षा करते-करते मेरी दृष्टि धुंधली हो चुकी है.

I am weary with my crying; my throat is dried: Mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

4 जो अकारण ही मुझसे बैर करते हैं उनकी संख्या मेरे सिर के केशों से भी बढ़कर है; बलवान हैं वे, जो अकारण ही मेरे शत्रु हो गए हैं, वे सभी मुझे मिटा देने पर सामर्थ्यी हैं. जो मैंने चुराया ही नहीं, उसी की भरपाई मुझसे ली जा रही है.

They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head: They that would cut me off, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: That which I took not away I have to restore.

5 परमेश्वर, आप मेरी मूर्खतापूर्ण त्रुटियों से परिचित हैं; मेरे दोष आपसे छिपे नहीं हैं.

O God, thou knowest my foolishness; And my sins are not hid from thee.

6 मेरी प्रार्थना है कि मेरे कारण आपके विश्वासियों को लज्जित न होना पड़े. प्रभु, सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह, मेरे कारण, इस्राएल के परमेश्वर, आपके खोजियों को लज्जित न होना पड़े.

Let not them that wait for thee be put to shame through me, O Lord Jehovah of hosts: Let not those that seek thee be brought to dishonor through me, O God of Israel.

7 मैं यह लज्जा आपके निमित्त सह रहा हूं, मेरा मुखमंडल ही घृणास्पद हो चुका है.

Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; Shame hath covered my face.

8 मैं अपने परिवार के लिए अपरिचित हो चुका हूं; अपने ही भाइयों के लिए मैं परदेशी हो गया हूं.

I am become a stranger unto my brethren, And an alien unto my mother’s children.

9 आपके भवन की धुन में जलते जलते मैं भस्म हुआ, तथा आपके निंदकों द्वारा की जा रही निंदा मुझ पर पड़ रही है.

For the zeal of thy house hath eaten me up; And the reproaches of them that reproach thee are fallen upon me.

10 जब मैंने उपवास करते हुए विलाप किया, तो मैं उनके लिए घृणा का पात्र बन गया;

When I wept, [and chastened] my soul with fasting, That was to my reproach.

11 जब मैंने शोक-वस्त्र धारण किए, तो लोग मेरी निंदा करने लगे.

When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword unto them.

12 नगर द्वार पर बैठे हुए पुरुष मुझ पर ताना मारते हैं, मैं पियक्कड़ पुरुषों के गीतों का विषय बन चुका हूं.

They that sit in the gate talk of me; And [I am] the song of the drunkards.

13 किंतु याहवेह, आपसे मेरी गिड़गिड़ाहट है, अपने करुणा-प्रेम के कारण, अपनी कृपादृष्टि के अवसर पर, परमेश्वर, अपने निश्चित उद्धार के द्वारा मुझे प्रत्युत्तर दीजिए.

But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Jehovah, in an acceptable time: O God, in the abundance of thy lovingkindness, Answer me in the truth of thy salvation.

14 मुझे इस दलदल से बचा लीजिए, इस गहरे जल में मुझे डूबने न दीजिए; मुझे मेरे शत्रुओं से बचा लीजिए.

Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: Let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

15 बाढ़ का जल मुझे समेट न ले और मैं गहराई में न जा पड़ूं और पाताल मुझे निगल न ले.

Let not the waterflood overwhelm me, Neither let the deep swallow me up; And let not the pit shut its mouth upon me.

16 याहवेह, अपने करुणा-प्रेम की भलाई के कारण मुझे प्रत्युत्तर दीजिए; अपनी कृपादृष्टि में अपना मुख मेरी ओर कीजिए.

Answer me, O Jehovah; for thy lovingkindness is good: According to the multitude of thy tender mercies turn thou unto me.

17 अपने सेवक से मुंह न मोड़िए; मुझे शीघ्र उत्तर दीजिए, क्योंकि मैं संकट में पड़ा हुआ हूं.

And hide not thy face from thy servant; For I am in distress; answer me speedily.

18 पास आकर मुझे इस स्थिति से बचा लीजिए; मुझे मेरे शत्रुओं से छुड़ा लीजिए.

Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: Ransom me because of mine enemies.

19 आपको सब कुछ ज्ञात है, किस प्रकार मुझसे घृणा की जा रही है, मुझे लज्जित एवं अपमानित किया जा रहा है; आप मेरे सभी शत्रुओं को भी जानते हैं.

Thou knowest my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonor: Mine adversaries are all before thee.

20 निंदा ने मेरा हृदय तोड़ दिया है और अब मैं दुःखी रह गया हूं; मुझे सहानुभूति की आवश्यकता थी, किंतु यह कहीं भी न मिली, तब मैंने सांत्वना खोजी, किंतु वह भी कहीं न थी.

Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: And I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; And for comforters, but I found none.

21 उन्होंने मेरे भोजन में विष मिला दिया, और पीने के लिए मुझे सिरका दिया गया.

They gave me also gall for my food; And in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

22 उनके लिए सजाई गई मेज़ ही उनके लिए फंदा बन जाए; और जब वे शान्तिपूर्ण स्थिति में हैं, यही उनके लिए जाल सिद्ध हो जाए.

Let their table before them become a snare; And when they are in peace, [let it become] a trap.

23 उनके आंखों की ज्योति जाती रहे और वे देख न सकें, उनकी कमर स्थायी रूप से झुक जाए.

Let their eyes be darkened, so that they cannot see; And make their loins continually to shake.

24 अपना क्रोध उन पर उंडेल दीजिए; आपका भस्मकारी क्रोध उन्हें समेट ले.

Pour out thine indignation upon them, And let the fierceness of thine anger overtake them.

25 उनकी छावनी निर्जन हो जाए; उनके मण्डपों में निवास करने के लिए कोई शेष न रह जाए.

Let their habitation be desolate; Let none dwell in their tents.

26 ये उन्हें दुःखित करते हैं, जिन्हें आपने घायल किया था, और उनकी पीड़ा पर वार्तालाप करते हैं, जिस पर आपने प्रहार किया है.

For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; And they tell of the sorrow of those whom thou hast wounded.

27 उनके समस्त पापों के लिए उन्हें दोषी घोषित कीजिए; वे कभी आपकी धार्मिकता में सम्मिलित न होने पाएं.

Add iniquity unto their iniquity; And let them not come into thy righteousness.

28 उनके नाम जीवन-पुस्तक से मिटा दिए जाएं; उनका लिखा धर्मियों के साथ कभी न हो.

Let them be blotted out of the book of life, And not be written with the righteous.

29 मैं पीड़ा और संकट में पड़ा हुआ हूं, परमेश्वर, आपके उद्धार में ही मेरी सुरक्षा हो.

But I am poor and sorrowful: Let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.

30 मैं परमेश्वर की महिमा गीत के द्वारा करूंगा, मैं धन्यवाद के साथ उनके तेज की बड़ाई करूंगा.

I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify him with thanksgiving.

31 इससे याहवेह बछड़े के बलि अर्पण से अधिक प्रसन्‍न होंगे; अथवा सींग और खुरयुक्त सांड़ की बलि से.

And it will please Jehovah better than an ox, [Or] a bullock that hath horns and hoofs.

32 दरिद्रों के लिए यह हर्ष का विषय होगा. तुम, जो परमेश्वर के खोजी हो, इससे नया बल प्राप्‍त करो!

The meek have seen it, and are glad: Ye that seek after God, let your heart live.

33 याहवेह असहायों की सुनते हैं, उन्हें बंदियों से घृणा नहीं है.

For Jehovah heareth the needy, And despiseth not his prisoners.

34 आकाश और पृथ्वी उनकी वंदना करें, हां, महासागर और उसमें चलते फिरते सभी प्राणी भी,

Let heaven and earth praise him, The seas, and everything that moveth therein.

35 क्योंकि परमेश्वर ज़ियोन की रक्षा करेंगे; वह यहूदिया प्रदेश के नगरों का पुनःनिर्माण करेंगे. तब प्रभु की प्रजा वहां बस जाएगी और उस क्षेत्र पर अधिकार कर लेगी.

For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah; And they shall abide there, and have it in possession.

36 यह भूमि प्रभु के सेवकों की संतान का भाग हो जाएगी, तथा जो प्रभु पर श्रद्धा रखते हैं, वहां निवास करेंगे.

The seed also of his servants shall inherit it; And they that love his name shall dwell therein.
