Remember, LORD, what has come on us. Look, and see our disgrace.
2 An ba wa baƙi gādonmu, gidajenmu kuma aka ba bare.
Our inheritance is turned over to strangers, our houses to foreigners.
3 Mun zama marayu marasa ubanni, uwayenmu kamar gwauraye.
We are orphans and fatherless. Our mothers are like widows.
4 Dole mu sayi ruwan da muke sha; sai mun biya mu sami itace.
We have to pay for a drink of water; our wood is sold to us.
5 Masu fafararmu sun kusa kama mu; mun gaji kuma ba dama mu huta.
Our pursuers are on our necks; we are weary, and have no rest.
6 Mun miƙa kanmu ga Masar da Assuriya don mu sami isashen abinci.
We have submitted to the Egyptians and to the Assyrians, to get enough bread.
7 Kakanninmu sun yi zunubi kuma ba sa nan yanzu, mu ne aka bari muna shan hukuncinsu.
Our fathers sinned, and are no more; but we have borne their iniquities.
8 Bayi suna mulki a kanmu, kuma ba wanda zai’yantar da mu daga hannuwansu.
Servants rule over us: There is none to deliver us out of their hand.
9 Muna samun burodi a bakin rayukanmu domin takobin da yake a jeji.
We get our bread at the peril of our lives, because of the sword in the wilderness.
10 Fatar jikinmu ta yi zafi kamar murhu, muna jin zazzaɓi domin yunwa.
Our skin is hot like an oven, because of the burning heat of famine.
11 An yi wa mata fyaɗe a cikin Sihiyona, da kuma budurwai a cikin garuruwan Yahuda.
They raped the women in Zion, the virgins in the cities of Judah.
12 An rataye’ya’yan sarakuna da hannuwansu; ba a ba wa dattawa girma.
Princes were hung by their hands; elders were shown no respect.
13 Samari suna faman yin niƙa; yara kuma suna fama da ƙyar da nauyin kayan itace.
The young men grind at the mill; the boys stagger under loads of wood.
14 Dattawan sun bar ƙofar birnin, samari sun daina rera waƙa.
The elders have gone from the gate, the young men from their music.
The joy of our heart has ceased; our dancing is turned into mourning.
16 Rawani ya fāɗi daga kanmu. Kaiton mu gama mun yi zunubi!
The crown is fallen from our head; woe to us, for we have sinned.
17 Domin wannan zuciyarmu ta yi sanyi; domin waɗannan abubuwa idanunmu sun dushe
For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes grow dim.
18 gama Tudun Sihiyona ya zama kufai, sai diloli ke yawo a wurin.
For the mountain of Zion, which is desolate; the foxes walk on it.
But you, LORD, abide forever; your throne is from generation to generation.
Why do you keep on forgetting us? Why do you forsake us so long?
21 Ka sāke jawo mu gare ka, ya Ubangiji, don mu komo; ka sabunta kwanakinmu su zama kamar yadda suke a dā
Restore us to you, LORD, and we shall be restored; renew our days as in former times,
unless you have completely rejected us and are angry with us beyond measure.
