< Sòm 32 >

1 Se yon kantik David. Ala bon sa bon pou yon moun lè Bondye pa gade sou fòt li fè, lè Bondye padonnen peche l' yo!
Those whom God has forgiven for rebelling against him, whose stains [MET] of sin have been wiped away, are truly blessed [by God]!
2 Ala bon sa bon pou yon moun lè Seyè a pa mande l' kont pou sa li fè ki mal, lè li pa gen okenn lide twonpe Bondye!
Those whose record of their sins Yahweh has erased, those who no longer do deceitful things, are [truly] blessed [by God]!
3 Tank mwen pa t' ankò vle rekonèt peche m' yo, mwen t'ap cheche sou pye. Tout lajounen, mwen t'ap plenn.
When I did not confess my sins, (my body/I) was very weak and sick, and I groaned (all day long/continually).
4 Lajounen kou lannwit ou t'ap kale m', Seyè. Mwen fin rann tout ji mwen, tankou tè sèk nan sezon chalè.
Day and night, [Yahweh], you [SYN] punished me severely. My strength drained away like [water that] ([evaporates/dries up]) on a hot summer [day].
5 Lè sa a, mwen rekonèt peche m' yo devan ou, mwen pa t' kache ou sa m' te fè ki mal. Mwen di: M'ap rakonte Seyè a tout bagay. Apre sa, ou te padonnen tout peche m' yo.
[Then/Finally] I admitted/confessed my sins to you; I stopped trying to hide them. (Think about that!) I said [to myself], “I will confess to Yahweh the wrong things that I have done.” And [when I confessed them], you forgave me, so now I (am no longer guilty/will no longer be punished) for my sins.
6 Se konsa, moun k'ap sèvi ou ak tout kè yo gen pou lapriyè ou lè yo nan tray. Si yo nan gwo dlo, anyen p'ap rive yo.
Therefore, the people who are godly should pray to you [when they] (realize that they have sinned/have difficulties). If they pray to you, [difficulties] [MET] will not overwhelm them [like] a great flood.
7 Se bò kote ou mwen vin kache. Jou malè w'ap delivre m'. M'ap chante fè konnen jan ou pwoteje m'.
You are [like] a place where I can hide [from my enemies] [MET], you protect me from troubles, and you (enable me/[put people around me who will enable me]) to shout, praising you for saving me [from my enemies].
8 Seyè a di: M'a louvri lespri ou sou anpil bagay. M'a moutre ou chemen pou ou swiv la. M'a ba ou bon konsèy. M'ap voye je sou ou.
[Yahweh says], “I will teach you about how you should conduct your life. I will instruct you and watch over you.
9 Pa fè tankou chwal osinon tankou milèt ki san konprann. Yo blije mete bosal ak brid nan bouch yo pou donte yo. Si se pa sa, ou pa ka pwoche bò kote yo.
Do not be stupid like horses and mules that do not have understanding; they need (bits/pieces of metal put in their mouths) and (bridles/ropes fastened to their head) so they will go in the direction you want them to go.”
10 Mechan yo gen pou yo soufri anpil. Men, Seyè a ap toujou pwoteje moun ki met konfyans yo nan li paske li renmen yo.
Wicked people will have many [troubles that will make them] sad, but those who trust in Yahweh will experience him faithfully loving them all the time.
11 Nou tout k'ap viv jan Bondye vle l' la, fè kè nou kontan, chante pou sa Seyè a fè pou nou. Nou tout k'ap mache dwat devan Bondye, rele, fè wè jan nou kontan.
[So, all] you righteous people, rejoice about what Yahweh [has done for you]; you whose (inner beings/lives) are pure, be glad and shout joyfully!
