1 Dana muu n den pendi, bi kobadicianba bado Ananiasa den yegi leni bi nikpeliba leni maliiga yudaano yendo ke bi yi o Tetusa ki jiidi ki cua Sesale. Bi den maadi Gufeneeli ban pia ya maama leni Polo.

And after five days the high priest Ananias came down with certain elders, and [with] an orator, one Tertullus; and they informed the governor against Paul.

2 O den yini Polo, ke Tetusa cili ki maadi ki tabi o ki yedi:

And when he was called, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy much peace, and that by thy providence evils are corrected for this nation,

3 Fini ti yudaano Felisi, tikuli ye leni mi yanduanma cain kelima a yaapo. Fini n teni ke ti diema lebidi ki hanbi. I kaani kuli leni i yogini kuli ti pala mani leni han tieni yaala yeni ke ti jaandi a likuli po hali boncianla.

we accept it in all ways and in all places, most excellent Felix, with all thankfulness.

4 Mii go bua ki pugini mi maama ki coagi a. N mia ha han cengi ti u yogunu waamu bebe.

But, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I entreat thee to hear us of thy clemency a few words.

5 Ti sua ke o naa joa tie nani u yianu, ki fiindi mi janjanma Jufinba siiga ban ye naankani kuli handuna nni. O tie Nasaleti yaaba jaanbuolu yudanba siiga yendo.

For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of insurrections among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:

6 O den moandi ki baa joagini U Tienu diegu ke ti cuo o. Ti den bua ki bu leni o nani ti yaa balimaama n bili maama.

who moreover assayed to profane the temple: on whom also we laid hold:

7 Ama a minteela yudanciamo Lisiasa den tieni u paalu ki fie o ti nuu nni, ki yedi ke yaaba n pia mi maama leni o n cua a ya kani.

8 Fini aba baa fidi ki buali o ki bandi tin pia leni ya maama kuli ya tie moamoani.

from whom thou wilt be able, by examining him thyself, to take knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him.

9 Yaa Jufinba n den ye likani den saa Tetusa maama po i moamoani, ki yedi ke wan maadi Polo po yaala kuli tie yeni.

And the Jews also joined in the charge, affirming that these things were so.

10 Gufeneeli den yugidi o nuu ki puni Polo u sanu ke wan maadi, ki yedi: N bani ke a tie ti buolu bujialo yaa bina n yaba lane n pali mani ke n ye a nintuali ki baa maadi ki ga n yuli.

And when the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, Paul answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do cheerfully make my defence:

11 Laa cie piiga n dana lie ke n den gedi Jelusalema ki baan kpiagi U Tienu. A ya bua a baa fidi ki buali ki bandi.

seeing that thou canst take knowledge, that it is not more than twelve days since I went up to worship at Jerusalem:

12 Baa den la ke n nia leni niloba U Tienu diegu nni, yaaka ke n fiini ku niligu pala li balimaama bangina diena nni leni u dogu nni kaanuba kuli.

and neither in the temple did they find me disputing with any man or stirring up a crowd, nor in the synagogues, nor in the city.

13 Bi kan fidi ki ba yaa seedi n baa doagidi ke ban maadi npo ya maama a kani moala tie moamoani.

Neither can they prove to thee the things whereof they now accuse me.

14 Ama ban yini yaa jaanma jaabocaanu yeni, n tuo a nintuali ke n hoa ma ki jaandi ti yaajanba Tienu, ki go dugi yaala n diani li balimaama nni, leni bi saawalipuaba tila nni kuli po.

But this I confess unto thee, that after the Way which they call a sect, so serve I the God of our fathers, believing all things which are according to the law, and which are written in the prophets:

15 N sugini nani bani yaaba n ye ne n sugini maama ke bi tinkpiba fiima ye, yaaba n tiegi leni yaaba n ki tiegi kuli po.

having hope toward God, which these also themselves look for, that there shall be a resurrection both of the just and unjust.

16 Lani n teni ke n moandi yogunu kuli ke n pali seedi n da bu leni nni kelima tagili ba po. U Tienu kani leni bi niba kani kuli.

Herein do I also exercise myself to have a conscience void of offence toward God and men alway.

17 Min kaa den ye Jelusalema binaba, n den guani likani ki baa cuani mi todima n buolu yaaba po, ki pa U Tienu bu paabu.

Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings:

18 Min den tieni lani, yaa Jufinba n ñani Asi nni den laa nni U Tienu diegu nni. N den wali ki hanbi nba.

amidst which they found me purified in the temple, with no crowd, nor yet with tumult: but [there were] certain Jews from Asia—

19 Mii den taani niligu, mii den tieni fuugu mo. Jufinba ya pia npo liba, li bi pundi bani n ya ye ne ki maadi laa maama a nintuali.

who ought to have been here before thee, and to make accusation, if they had aught against me.

20 Lani yaaka li pundi yaaba n ye ne n waani ban laa ke n pia yaa tagili min den sedi bi cancannikpeliba taancianli kani.

Or else let these men themselves say what wrong-doing they found, when I stood before the council,

21 Li yaa ki tie min den kpaani bi siiga ki yedi: Yi ja leni nni dinla ti buudi kelima bi tinkpiba fiima yaapo.

except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question before you this day.

22 Lani Felisi, yua n den bani Jesu sanhoadima maama bonhanla den sieni mi maama yeni hali dantoali, ki yedi Polo: A minteela yudanciamo Lisiasa ya cua n baa jia a maama.

But Felix, having more exact knowledge concerning the Way, deferred them, saying, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will determine your matter.

23 O den puogi minteela kobiga yudaano n ya guu Polo ki pa o mi yudiedima ki cedi o danlinba n ya kpendi o kani ki todi o.

And he gave order to the centurion that he should be kept in charge, and should have indulgence; and not to forbid any of his friends to minister unto him.

24 Danaba n den pendi Felisi den cua leni o pua Dusila, yua n tie Jufi. O den teni ke bi cuani Polo o kani ki cengi Polo n maadi opo li dandanli Jesu Kilisit nni n tie yaala.

But after certain days, Felix came with Drusilla, his wife, which was a Jewess, and sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ Jesus.

25 Ama Polo n den maadi mi teginma, li yukubili leni U Tienu buudi yaadi n baa cua ya maama fuuli yeni, ti jawaandi den cuo Felisi ke o yedi o: Moala po a baa fidi ki ña. N yaa go ti baa u yogunu n baa yini a.

And as he reasoned of righteousness, and temperance, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered, Go thy way for this time; and when I have a convenient season, I will call thee unto me.

26 O den pia mi suginma ke Polo baa pa o i ligi. Lani yaapo, o den tuuni ke bi yi o yogunu boncianla ke o maadi leni o.

He hoped withal that money would be given him of Paul: wherefore also he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him.

27 Bina lie n den pendi ke li tie yeni, Felisi den baa o lebidu ke bi yi o Posiyusa Fesitusa. Nani Felisi n den bua ki mangi Jufinba pala yeni, o den ha Polo ke o baa ye li kadideli nni.

But when two years were fulfilled, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus; and desiring to gain favour with the Jews, Felix left Paul in bonds.
