1 Anĩrĩrai mũkenete mũrĩ mbere ya Jehova, inyuĩ andũ othe a thĩ.
Everyone in the world should shout joyfully to Yahweh!
2 Thathaiyai Jehova mũcanjamũkĩte; ũkai mbere yake mũkĩinaga mũkenete.
We should worship Yahweh gladly! We should come before him singing joyful songs.
3 Menyai atĩ Jehova nĩwe Ngai. Nĩwe watũũmbire, na ithuĩ tũrĩ ake, tũrĩ andũ ake, ngʼondu cia ũrĩithio wake.
We should acknowledge/recognize that Yahweh is God; it is he who made us, [so] we belong to him. We are the people that he takes care of [MET]; we are [like] sheep that are cared for by their shepherd.
4 Tonyerai ihingo ciake mũrĩ na ngaatho, mũtoonye nja ciake mũkĩmũgoocaga; mũcookeriei ngaatho na mũgooce rĩĩtwa rĩake.
Enter the gates [of his temple] thanking him; enter the courtyard [of the temple] singing songs to praise him! Thank him and praise him,
5 Nĩgũkorwo Jehova nĩ mwega, wendo wake ũtũũraga nginya tene na tene; wĩhokeku wake nĩ wa nginya njiarwa na njiarwa.
because Yahweh always [does] good [things for us]. He faithfully loves us, and (is faithful/is loyal to us forever/will never forsake us).
