< Isaia 21 >
1 Ĩno nĩyo ndũmĩrĩri nditũ ĩkoniĩ Werũ ũrĩa ũrĩ Hũgũrũrũ-inĩ cia Iria: Atĩrĩrĩ, o ta ũrĩa ihuhũkanio iria nene ihurutanaga ituĩkanĩirie bũrũri wa gũthini, ũguo noguo mũtharĩkĩri agooka oimĩte werũ-inĩ, kuuma bũrũri wa kũguoyohania.
The word about the waste land. As storm-winds in the South go rushing through, it comes from the waste land, from the land greatly to be feared.
2 Niĩ nĩnyonetio kĩoneki gĩa kũmakania mũno: Mũkunyanĩri no arakunyanĩra, nake mũtahani no aratahana. Wee Elamu tharĩkĩra! Nawe Media, thiũrũrũkĩria! Gũcaaya kũrĩa anagũcaaithia nĩngagũkinyia mũthia.
A vision of fear comes before my eyes; the worker of deceit goes on in his false way, and the waster goes on making waste. Up! Elam; to the attack! Media; I have put an end to her sorrow.
3 Nĩ ũndũ wa ũguo mwĩrĩ wakwa nĩũiyũrĩtwo nĩ ruo, ruo rũnene nĩrũũnyiitĩte, o ta ruo rwa mũtumia akĩrũmwo; ngagĩtururio nĩ maũndũ marĩa ndĩraigua, na ngagegeario nĩ maũndũ marĩa ndĩrona.
For this cause I am full of bitter grief; pains like the pains of a woman in childbirth have come on me: I am bent down with sorrow at what comes to my ears; I am shocked by what I see.
4 Ngoro yakwa nĩĩratumatuuma, na ngainaina nĩ guoya; hwaĩ-inĩ ũrĩa ndĩriragĩria ũtuĩkĩte ũndũ wa kũũmakia mũno.
My mind is wandering, fear has overcome me: the evening of my desire has been turned into shaking for me.
5 Nao nĩmaarĩte metha, na makaara mĩgeka, nĩguo marĩe na manyue! Ũkĩrai inyuĩ anene, mũhake ngo maguta!
They make ready the table, they put down the covers, they take food and drink. Up! you captains; put oil on your breastplates.
6 Jehova anjĩĩrĩte atĩrĩ: “Thiĩ, ũige mũrangĩri wa gũcũthĩrĩria na ũmwĩre amenyithanie ũrĩa aroona.
For so has the Lord said to me, Go, let a watchman be placed; let him give word of what he sees:
7 Rĩrĩa angĩona ngaari cia ita irĩ na mbarathi ihaanaine, na andũ magĩũka mahaicĩte ndigiri kana ngamĩĩra-rĩ, nĩaikare eiguĩte, akeigua biũ.”
And when he sees war-carriages, horsemen by twos, war-carriages with asses, war-carriages with camels, let him give special attention.
8 Nake mũrangĩri akĩanĩrĩra, akiuga atĩrĩ, “Mũthenya o mũthenya, mwathi wakwa, ndũgamaga gĩtara-inĩ kĩa mũrangĩri; na ũtukũ o ũtukũ njikaraga handũ hakwa ha kũrangĩra.
And the watchman gave a loud cry, O my lord, I am on the watchtower all day, and am placed in my watch every night:
9 Atĩrĩrĩ, nĩharooka mũndũ akuuĩtwo nĩ ngaari ya ita, ĩrĩ na mbarathi ihaanaine. Nake aracookia ũhoro akoiga atĩrĩ: ‘Babuloni nĩrĩgũu, ĩĩ nĩrĩgwĩte! Mĩhianano yothe ya ngai ciakuo nĩmĩhehenje, ĩkaharagana thĩ!’”
See, here come war-carriages with men, horsemen by twos: and in answer he said, Babylon is made low, is made low, and all her images are broken on the earth.
10 Inyuĩ andũ akwa, o inyuĩ mũthuthĩirwo kĩhuhĩro-inĩ kĩa ngano-rĩ, ngũmwĩra ũrĩa njiguĩte kuuma kũrĩ Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe, kuuma kũrĩ Ngai wa Isiraeli.
O my crushed ones, the grain of my floor! I have given you the word which came to me from the Lord of armies, the God of Israel.
11 Ĩno nĩ ndũmĩrĩri nditũ ĩkoniĩ Duma: Atĩrĩrĩ, nĩ harĩ mũndũ ũraanjĩta kuuma Seiru, akanjũũria atĩrĩ, “Mũrangĩri, ũtukũ ũkinyĩte ha? Mũrangĩri ũyũ, ũtukũ ũkinyĩte ha?”
The word about Edom. A voice comes to me from Seir, Watchman, how far gone is the night? how far gone is the night?
12 Nake mũrangĩri akamũcookeria atĩrĩ, “Gũkiriĩ gũkĩa, no rĩrĩ, nĩgũgũcooka gũtuke. Angĩkorwo kũrĩ ũndũ ũkũũria-rĩ, ũria; ũcooke ũũke hĩndĩ ĩngĩ.”
The watchman says, The morning has come, but night is still to come: if you have questions to put, put them, and come back again.
13 Ĩno nĩyo ndũmĩrĩri nditũ ĩkoniĩ bũrũri wa Arabia: Inyuĩ ikundi cia agendi a Adedani, o inyuĩ mwambĩte hema ithaka-inĩ cia Arabia-rĩ,
The word about Arabia. In the thick woods of Arabia will be your night's resting-place, O travelling bands of Dedanites!
14 twarĩrai andũ arĩa anyootu maaĩ; na inyuĩ mũtũũraga bũrũri wa Tema, tũngiai andũ acio maroora irio
Give water to him who is in need of water; give bread, O men of the land of Tema, to those in flight.
15 Nĩgũkorwo maroorĩra rũhiũ rwa njora, o rũhiũ rwa njora rũrĩa rũcomoretwo, makoorĩra ũta mũgeete, na makoima kũrĩa mbaara ĩĩhĩire.
For they are in flight from the sharp sword, and the bent bow, and from the trouble of war.
16 Mwathani aranjĩĩra atĩrĩ: “Mwaka ũmwe ũtanathira, ũtarĩtwo ta ũrĩa mĩaka ya mũndũ wa kwandĩkwo wĩra ĩrĩkanagĩrwo-rĩ, riiri wothe wa Kedari nĩũgaathira.
For so has the Lord said to me, In a year, by the years of a servant working for payment, all the glory of Kedar will come to an end:
17 Andũ arĩa magaatigario nĩ thigari iria ciikagia mĩguĩ, o acio njamba cia ita cia Kedari-rĩ, magaakorwo marĩ o anini.” Jehova Ngai wa Isiraeli nĩwe warĩtie ũhoro ũcio.
And the rest of the bowmen, the men of war of the children of Kedar, will be small in number: for the Lord, the God of Israel, has said it.
