Psalm 111

1 Hallelujah! Bekennen will ich Jehovah von ganzem Herzen im Kreise der Redlichen und in der Gemeinde.

Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with [my] whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and [in] the congregation.

2 Groß sind Jehovahs Taten, nachgesucht von allen, die Lust daran haben.

The works of the LORD [are] great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.

3 Majestät und Ehre ist Sein Werk, und Seine Gerechtigkeit besteht immerfort.

His work [is] honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

4 Er machte ein Andenken für Seine Wunder, gnädig und erbarmungsvoll ist Jehovah.

He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD [is] gracious and full of compassion.

5 Er gibt Speise denen, die Ihn fürchten, Er gedenkt Seines Bundes ewiglich.

He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.

6 Er sagt an Seinem Volke Seiner Werke Kraft, indem Er ihnen gab der Völkerschaften Erbe.

He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.

7 Die Werke Seiner Hände sind Wahrheit und Recht, wahrhaft sind alle Seine Verordnungen.

The works of his hands [are] verity and judgment; all his commandments [are] sure.

8 Sie werden erhalten immerfort, in Ewigkeit; sie sind getan in Wahrheit und Redlichkeit.

They stand fast for ever and ever, [and are] done in truth and uprightness.

9 Er sandte Seinem Volk Erlösung, Er gebot auf ewig Seinen Bund. Heilig und furchtbar ist Sein Name.

He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend [is] his name.

10 Der Weisheit Anfang ist die Furcht Jehovahs, guten Verstand haben alle, so danach tun. Sein Lob besteht immerfort.

The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do [his commandments: ] his praise endureth for ever.
