1 Chronik 15

1 Und David baute sich Häuser in der Stadt Davids und bereitete für die Lade Gottes einen Ort und schlug ein Zelt für sie auf.

David made him houses in the City of David; and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.

2 Damals sprach David: Niemand soll die Lade Gottes tragen als allein die Leviten; denn diese hat der HERR erwählt, die Lade Gottes zu tragen und ihm zu dienen ewiglich!

Then David said, "No one ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites. For YHWH has chosen them to carry the ark of God, and to minister to him forever."

3 Darum versammelte David ganz Israel zu Jerusalem, daß sie die Lade des HERRN an den für sie bereiteten Ort hinaufbrächten.

David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of YHWH to its place, which he had prepared for it.

4 David versammelte auch die Söhne Aarons und die Leviten;

David gathered together the sons of Aaron, and the Levites:

5 aus den Söhnen Kahats: Uriel, den Obersten, samt seinen Brüdern, hundertundzwanzig;

of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brothers one hundred twenty;

6 aus den Söhnen Meraris: Asaja, den Obersten, samt seinen Brüdern, zweihundertundzwanzig;

of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred twenty;

7 aus den Söhnen Gersoms: Joel, den Obersten, samt seinen Brüdern, hundertunddreißig;

of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and his brothers one hundred thirty;

8 aus den Söhnen Elizaphans: Semaja, den Obersten, samt seinen Brüdern, zweihundert;

of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred;

9 aus den Söhnen Hebrons: Eliel, den Obersten, samt seinen Brüdern, achtzig;

of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brothers eighty;

10 aus den Söhnen Ussiels: Amminadab, den Obersten, samt seinen Brüdern, hundertundzwölf.

of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and his brothers one hundred twelve.

11 So rief nun David die Priester Zadok und Abjatar und die Leviten Uriel, Asaja, Joel, Semaja, Eliel und Amminadab und sprach zu ihnen:

David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,

12 Ihr seid die Familienhäupter unter den Leviten; so heiliget euch nun, ihr und eure Brüder, daß ihr die Lade des HERRN, des Gottes Israels, heraufbringet an den Ort, welchen ich für sie zubereitet habe!

and said to them, "You are the heads of the ancestral houses of the Levites. Sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring up the ark of YHWH, the God of Israel, to the place that I have prepared for it.

13 Denn das vorige Mal, als ihr nicht da waret, machte der HERR, unser Gott, einen Riß unter uns, weil wir ihn nicht suchten, wie es sich gebührte.

For because you were not prepared the first time, YHWH our God made an outbreak against us, because we did not seek him according to the ordinance."

14 Also heiligten sich die Priester und Leviten, daß sie die Lade des HERRN, des Gottes Israels, hinaufbrächten.

So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of YHWH, the God of Israel.

15 Und die Kinder Levi trugen die Lade Gottes auf ihren Schultern, [indem sie] die Stangen auf sich [legten], wie Mose geboten hatte, nach dem Wort des HERRN.

The descendants of the Levites bore the ark of God on their shoulders with the poles thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of YHWH.

16 Und David sprach zu den Obersten der Leviten, daß sie ihre Brüder zu Sängern bestellen sollten mit Musikinstrumenten, Psaltern, Harfen und Zimbeln, damit sie sich hören ließen und die Stimme mit Freuden erhöben.

David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brothers the singers, with instruments of music, stringed instruments and harps and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up the voice with joy.

17 Da bestellten die Leviten Heman, den Sohn Joels; und aus seinen Brüdern Asaph, den Sohn Berechjas; und aus den Söhnen Meraris, ihren Brüdern, Etan, den Sohn Kusajas,

So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brothers, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brothers, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;

18 und mit ihnen ihre Brüder von der zweiten Ordnung, nämlich Sacharja, Ben-Jaasiel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaja, Maaseja, Matitja, Eliphelehu, Mikneja, Obed-Edom, Jehiel, die Torhüter.

and with them their brothers of the second degree, Zechariah, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah were doorkeepers.

19 Und zwar die Sänger Heman, Asaph und Etan mit ehernen Zimbeln, um laut zu spielen.

So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were given cymbals of bronze to sound aloud;

20 Sacharja aber, Asiel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseja und Benaja mit Psaltern nach der Jungfrauenweise.

and Zechariah, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with stringed instruments set to Alamoth;

21 Mattitja aber, Eliphelehu, Mikneja, Obed-Edom, Jechiel und Asasja mit Harfen, nach der Oktave, als Vorsänger.

and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps tuned to the eight-stringed lyre, to lead.

22 Kenanja aber, der Oberste der Leviten im Tragen, der unterwies im Tragen, denn er verstand es.

Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the song: he instructed about the song, because he was skillful.

23 Und Berechja und Elkana waren Torhüter bei der Lade.

Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.

24 Aber Sebanja, Josaphat, Netaneel, Amasai, Sacharja, Benaja und Elieser, die Priester, bliesen mit Trompeten vor der Lade Gottes. Und Obed-Edom und Jechija waren Torhüter bei der Lade.

Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-Edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.

25 Also gingen David und die Ältesten Israels und die Obersten der Tausendschaften hin, die Bundeslade des HERRN mit Freuden aus dem Hause Obed-Edoms heraufzuholen.

So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of YHWH out of the house of Obed-Edom with joy.

26 Und als Gott den Leviten half, welche die Bundeslade des HERRN trugen, opferte man sieben Farren und sieben Widder.

It happened, when God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the covenant of YHWH, that they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.

27 Und David war mit einem Oberkleide von feiner Baumwolle umgürtet, ebenso alle Leviten, welche die Lade trugen, und die Sänger und Kenanja, der Oberste über das Tragen. David trug auch ein leinenes Ephod.

David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who bore the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: and David had on him an ephod of linen.

28 Also brachte ganz Israel die Bundeslade des HERRN hinauf mit Jauchzen, Posaunen, Trompeten und Zimbeln; sie spielten laut mit Psaltern und Harfen.

Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of YHWH with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with stringed instruments and harps.

29 Als nun die Bundeslade des HERRN in die Stadt Davids kam, sah Michal, die Tochter Sauls, zum Fenster hinaus; und als sie den König David hüpfen und tanzen sah, verachtete sie ihn in ihrem Herzen.

It happened, as the ark of the covenant of YHWH came to the City of David, that Mikal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.
