Psalm 98

1 Ein Psalm. Singet dem HERRN ein neues Lied!

A Psalm. Sing ye unto Jehovah a new song: for he hath done wondrous things; his right hand and his holy arm hath wrought salvation for him.

2 Der HERR hat kundgetan sein hilfreiches Tun, vor den Augen der Völker seine Gerechtigkeit offenbart.

Jehovah hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the nations.

3 Er hat gedacht seiner Gnade und Treue gegenüber dem Hause Israel: alle Enden der Erde haben geschaut die Heilstat unsers Gottes.

He hath remembered his loving-kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Jauchzet dem HERRN, alle Lande, brecht in Jubel aus und spielt!

Shout aloud unto Jehovah, all the earth; break forth and shout for joy, and sing psalms.

5 Spielet zu Ehren des HERRN auf der Zither, auf der Zither und mit lautem Gesang,

Sing psalms unto Jehovah with the harp: with the harp, and the voice of a song;

6 mit Trompeten und Posaunenschall! Jauchzt vor dem HERRN, dem König!

With trumpets and sound of cornet, make a joyful noise before the King, Jehovah.

7 Es tose das Meer und was darin wimmelt, der Erdkreis und seine Bewohner!

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein;

8 Die Ströme sollen in die Hände klatschen, die Berge allesamt jubeln

Let the floods clap [their] hands; let the mountains sing for joy together,

9 vor dem HERRN, wenn er kommt, zu richten die Erde. Richten wird er den Erdkreis mit Gerechtigkeit und die Völker nach Gebühr.

Before Jehovah, for he cometh to judge the earth: he will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.
