1 Mose 35

1 Und Gott sprach zu Jakob: Mache dich auf und zeuch gen Bethel und wohne daselbst; und mache daselbst einen Altar dem Gott, der dir erschien, da du flohest vor deinem Bruder Esau.

Then God sayde to Iaakob, Arise, goe vp to Beth-el and dwell there, and make there an altar vnto God, that appeared vnto thee, when thou fleddest from Esau thy brother.

2 Da sprach Jakob zu seinem Hause und zu allen, die mit ihm waren: Tut von euch die fremden Götter, so unter euch sind, und reiniget euch und ändert eure Kleider.

Then saide Iaakob vnto his houshold and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and clense your selues, and change your garments:

3 Und lasset uns auf sein und gen Bethel ziehen, daß ich daselbst einen Altar mache dem Gott, der mich erhöret hat zur Zeit meiner Trübsal und ist mit mir gewesen auf dem Wege, den ich gezogen bin.

For we will rise and goe vp to Beth-el, and I will make an altar there vnto God, which heard me in the day of my tribulation, and was with me in the way which I went.

4 Da gaben sie ihm alle fremden Götter, die unter ihren Händen waren, und ihre Ohrenspangen; und er vergrub sie unter eine Eiche, die neben Sichem stund.

And they gaue vnto Iaakob all the strange gods, which were in their hands, and all their earings which were in their eares, and Iaakob hidde them vnder an oke, which was by Shechem.

5 Und sie zogen aus. Und es kam die Furcht Gottes über die Städte, die um sie her lagen, daß sie den Söhnen Jakobs nicht nachjagten.

Then they went on their iourney, and the feare of God was vpon the cities that were roud about them: so that they did not follow after the sonnes of Iaakob.

6 Also kam Jakob gen Lus im Lande Kanaan, die da Bethel, heißt, samt all dem Volk, das mit ihm war,

So came Iaakob to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan: (the same is Beth-el) hee and all the people that was with him.

7 und bauete daselbst einen Altar und hieß die Stätte El-Bethel, darum daß ihm daselbst Gott offenbaret war, da er floh vor seinem Bruder.

And he built there an altar, and had called the place, The God of Beth-el, because that God appeared vnto him there, when he fled from his brother.

8 Da starb Debora, der Rebekka Amme, und ward begraben unter Bethel, unter der Eiche; und ward, genannt die Klageiche.

Then Deborah Rebekahs nourse dyed, and was buried beneath Beth-el vnder an oke: and he called the name of it Allon Bachuth.

9 Und Gott erschien Jakob abermal, nachdem er aus Mesopotamien kommen war, und segnete ihn

Againe God appeared vnto Iaakob, after he came out of Padan Aram, and blessed him.

10 und sprach zu ihm: Du heißest Jakob; aber du sollst nicht mehr Jakob heißen, sondern Israel sollst du heißen. Und also man ihn Israel.

Moreouer God said vnto him, Thy name is Iaakob: thy name shalbe no more called Iaakob, but Israel shalbe thy name: and hee called his name Israel.

11 Und Gott sprach zu ihm: Ich bin der allmächtige Gott; sei fruchtbar und mehre dich; Völker und Völkerhaufen sollen von dir kommen, und Könige sollen aus deinen Lenden kommen.

Againe God said vnto him, I am God all sufficient. growe, and multiplie. a nation and a multitude of nations shall spring of thee, and Kings shall come out of thy loynes.

12 Und das Land, das ich Abraham und Isaak gegeben habe, will ich dir geben und will's deinem Samen nach dir geben.

Also I will giue the lande, which I gaue to Abraham and Izhak, vnto thee: and vnto thy seede after thee will I giue that land.

13 Also fuhr Gott auf von ihm; von dem Ort, da er mit ihm geredet hatte.

So God ascended from him in the place where he had talked with him.

14 Jakob aber richtete ein steinern Mal auf an dem Ort, da er mit ihm geredet hatte, und goß Trankopfer drauf und begoß ihn mit Öl.

And Iaakob set vp a pillar in the place where he talked with him, a pillar of stone, and powred drinke offring thereon: also hee powred oyle thereon.

15 Und Jakob hieß den Ort, da Gott mit ihm geredet hatte, Bethel.

And Iaakob called the name of the place, where God spake with him, Beth-el.

16 Und sie zogen von Bethel. Und da noch ein Feldwegs war von Ephrath, da gebar Rahel.

Then they departed from Beth-el, and when there was about halfe a daies iourney of ground to come to Ephrath, Rahel trauailed, and in trauailing she was in perill.

17 Und es kam sie hart an über der Geburt. Da es ihr aber so sauer ward in der Geburt, sprach die Wehmutter zu ihr: Fürchte dich nicht, denn diesen Sohn wirst du auch haben.

And whe she was in paines of her labour, the midwife saide vnto her, Feare not: for thou shalt haue this sonne also.

18 Da ihr aber die Seele ausging, daß sie sterben mußte, hieß sie ihn Benoni; aber sein Vater hieß ihn Benjamin.

Then as she was about to yeelde vp the Ghost (for she died) she called his name Ben-oni, but his father called him Beniamin.

19 Also starb Rahel und ward begraben an dem Wege gen Ephrath, die nun heißt Bethlehem.

Thus died Rahel, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Beth-lehem.

20 Und Jakob richtete ein Mal auf über ihrem Grabe; dasselbe ist das Grabmal Rahels bis auf diesen Tag.

And Iaakob set a pillar vpon her graue: This is the pillar of Rahels graue vnto this day.

21 Und Israel zog aus und richtete eine Hütte auf jenseits des Turms Eder.

Then Israel went forwarde, and pitched his tent beyond Migdal-eder.

22 Und es begab sich, da Israel im Lande wohnete, ging Ruben hin und schlief bei Bilha, seines Vaters Kebsweibe; und das kam vor Israel. Es hatte aber Jakob zwölf Söhne.

Now, when Israel dwelt in that land, Reuben went, and lay with Bilhah his fathers concubine, and it came to Israels eare. And Iaakob had twelue sonnes.

23 Die Söhne Leas waren diese: Ruben, der erstgeborne Sohn Jakobs, Simeon, Levi, Juda, Isaschar und Sebulon.

The sonnes of Leah: Reuben Iaakobs eldest sonne, and Simeon, and Leui, and Iudah, and Issachar, and Zebulun.

24 Die Söhne Rahels waren: Joseph und Benjamin.

The sonnes of Rahel: Ioseph and Beniamin.

25 Die Söhne Bilhas, Rahels Magd: Dan und Naphthali.

And the sonnes of Bilhah Rahels maide: Dan and Naphtali.

26 Die Söhne Silpas, Leas Magd: Gad und Asser. Das sind die Söhne Jakobs, die ihm geboren sind in Mesopotamien.

And the sonnes of Zilpah Leahs maide: Gad and Asher. These are the sonnes of Iaakob, which were borne him in Padan Aram.

27 Und Jakob kam zu seinem Vater Isaak gen Mamre in die Hauptstadt, die da heißt Hebron, da Abraham und Isaak Fremdlinge innen gewesen sind.

Then Iaakob came vnto Izhak his father to Mamre a citie of Arbah: this is Hebron, where Abraham and Izhak were strangers.

28 Und Isaak ward hundertundachtzig Jahre alt.

And the daies of Izhak were an hundreth and fourescore yeeres.

29 Und nahm ab und starb und ward versammelt zu seinem Volk, alt und des Lebens satt. Und seine Söhne Esau und Jakob begruben ihn.

And Izhak gaue vp the ghost and died, and was gathered vnto his people, being olde and full of daies: and his sonnes Esau and Iaakob buried him.
