Psalm 113

1 Rühmet Jah! Rühmet, ihr Knechte Jahwes, rühmet den Namen Jahwes!

Praise ye Yah! Praise, O ye servants of Yahweh, Praise the Name of Yahweh;

2 Der Name Jahwes sei gepriesen von nun an bis in Ewigkeit.

Be the Name of Yahweh blessed, henceforth, even to times age-abiding.

3 Vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergang sei der Name Jahwes gerühmt!

From the rising of the sun unto the going in thereof, Worthy to be praised, is the Name of Yahweh:

4 Jahwe ist erhaben über alle Völker, den Himmel überragt seine Herrlichkeit.

High above all nations, is Yahweh, Above the heavens, his glory.

5 Wer gleicht Jahwe, unserem Gott, der da hoch thront,

Who is like Yahweh our God? that goeth on high to dwell,

6 der tief herabschaut, im Himmel und auf Erden;

That cometh down low to look, through the heavens and through the earth;

7 der den Geringen aus dem Staube aufrichtet, den Armen aus dem Kot erhebt,

That raiseth, out of the dust, the poor, From the dunghill, uplifteth the needy;

8 daß er ihn neben den Edlen sitzen lasse, den Edlen seines Volks,

To give a seat with nobles, with the nobles of his people!

9 der die Unfruchtbare, die ohne Familie dastand, als Mutter der Kinder fröhlich wohnen läßt. Rühmet Jah!

Causing the barren woman to dwell in a household, A mother of sons in her joy! Praise ye Yah.
