Psaumes 146
1 Alléluia, d’Aggée et de Zacharie.
Praise Yahweh! With my whole inner being I will praise Yahweh.
2 Loue le Seigneur, ô mon âme, je louerai le Seigneur, pendant ma vie, je jouerai du psaltérion en l’honneur de mon Dieu, tant que je serai. Ne vous confiez pas dans les princes,
I will praise Yahweh as long as I am alive; I will sing to praise my God for [the rest of] my life.
3 Ni dans les fils des hommes, dans lesquels il n’y a pas de salut.
[You people], do not trust in your leaders; do not trust humans because they cannot save/rescue you [from your difficulties/problems].
4 Son esprit sortira de son corps, et il retournera dans sa terre; en ce jour périront toutes leurs pensées.
And when they die, their corpses [decay and] become soil again. After they die, they can no longer do the things that they planned to do.
5 Bienheureux celui dont le Dieu de Jacob est le porte-secours; son espérance est dans le Seigneur son Dieu,
But those whose helper is the God whom Jacob [worshiped] are happy. The one whom they confidently expect [to help them] is Yahweh, their God.
6 Qui a fait le ciel et la terre, la mer et tout ce qui existe en eux.
He is the one who created heaven and the earth and the oceans and all [the creatures] that are in them. He always does what he has promised to do.
7 Qui garde la vérité à jamais, fait justice à ceux qui souffrent injure, donne la nourriture à ceux qui ont faim.
He decides matters fairly for those who are (treated unfairly/oppressed), and he provides food for those who are hungry. He frees those who are in prison.
8 Le Seigneur donne la lumière aux aveugles.
Yahweh enables those who are blind to see again. He lifts up those who have fallen down. He loves righteous [people].
9 Le Seigneur garde les étrangers; il prendra sous sa protection l’orphelin et la veuve; et les voies des pécheurs, il les perdra entièrement.
Yahweh takes care of those from other countries who live in our land, and he helps widows and orphans. But he gets rid of wicked [people].
10 Le Seigneur régnera dans les siècles; ton Dieu, ô Sion, dans toutes les générations.
Yahweh will [continue to] be our king forever; you people of Israel, your God will rule forever! Praise Yahweh!
