1 Il fit encore l’autel de l’holocauste de bois de sétim, de cinq coudées en carré, et de trois en hauteur.

He made the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood. It was square. Its length was five cubits [7.5 ft; 22.9 m], its width was five cubits [7.5 ft; 22.9 m], and its height was three cubits [4.5 ft; 13.7 m].

2 Les cornes de l’autel sortaient des quatre angles, et il le couvrit de lames d’airain.

He made its horns on its four corners. Its horns were of one piece with it, and he overlaid it with bronze.

3 Et pour les usages de l’autel il prépara les divers vases d’airain, les chaudières, les pincettes, les fourchettes, les crocs et les brasiers.

He made all the utensils of the altar, the pots, the shovels, the basins, the forks, and the fire pans. He made all its utensils of bronze.

4 Il fit aussi la grille de l’autel d’airain, en forme de rets, et au-dessous, le foyer au milieu de l’autel,

He made for the altar a grating of a network of bronze, under the ledge around it beneath, reaching halfway up.

5 Quatre anneaux ayant été jetés en fonte pour les quatre sommités de la grille, afin d’y passer les leviers pour porter l’autel.

He cast four rings for the four ends of bronze grating, to be places for the poles.

6 Il fit ces leviers eux-mêmes de bois de sétim, et il les couvrit de lames d’airain,

He made the poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with bronze.

7 Et il les passa dans les anneaux qui saillaient sur les côtés de l’autel. Mais l’autel lui-même n’était pas massif, mais creux, composé d’ais et vide au dedans.

He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar, with which to carry it. He made it hollow with planks.

8 Il fit de plus le bassin d’airain avec sa base, des miroirs des femmes qui veillaient à la porte du tabernacle.

He made the basin of bronze, and its base of bronze, out of the mirrors of the ministering women who ministered at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

9 Il fit encore le parvis, au côté austral duquel étaient les rideaux de fin lin retors, de cent coudées.

He made the court: for the south side southward the hangings of the court were of fine twined linen, one hundred cubits [150 ft; 457.2 m];

10 Vingt colonnes d’airain avec leurs soubassements; les chapiteaux des colonnes et tous les ornements du travail étaient d’argent.

their pillars were twenty cubits [30 ft; 91.44 m], and their sockets twenty cubits [30 ft; 91.44 m], of bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver.

11 Egalement du côté septentrional les colonnes, les soubassements et les chapiteaux des colonnes étaient de la même mesure, du même travail et du même métal.

For the north side one hundred cubits [150 ft; 457.2 m], their pillars twenty cubits [30 ft; 91.44 m], and their sockets twenty cubits [30 ft; 91.44 m], of bronze; the hooks of the pillars, and their fillets, of silver.

12 Mais au côté qui regarde l’occident, les rideaux étaient de cinquante coudées, les dix colonnes avec leurs soubassements étaient d’airain, et les chapiteaux des colonnes et tous les ornements de ce travail, d’argent.

For the west side were hangings of fifty cubits [75 ft; 228.6 m], their pillars ten cubits [15 ft; 45.72 m], and their sockets ten cubits [15 ft; 45.72 m]; the hooks of the pillars, and their fillets, of silver.

13 Or, contre l’orient il disposa des rideaux de cinquante coudées,

For the east side eastward fifty cubits [75 ft; 228.6 m].

14 Sur lesquelles un côté ayant trois colonnes avec ses soubassements prenait quinze coudées,

The hangings for the one side were fifteen cubits [22.5 ft; 68.58 m]; their pillars three cubits [4.5 ft; 13.7 m], and their sockets three cubits [4.5 ft; 13.7 m];

15 Et l’autre côté (puisque c’est entre l’un et l’autre qu’il fit l’entrée du tabernacle) prenait également quinze coudées par les rideaux, par trois colonnes et autant de soubassements.

and so for the other side: on this hand and that hand by the gate of the court were hangings of fifteen cubits [22.5 ft; 68.58 m]; their pillars three cubits [4.5 ft; 13.7 m], and their sockets three cubits [4.5 ft; 13.7 m].

16 Tous les rideaux du parvis avaient été tissus de fin lin retors.

All the hangings around the court were of fine twined linen.

17 Les soubassements des colonnes étaient d’airain, et leurs chapiteaux avec tous leurs ornements, d’argent; mais les colonnes elles-mêmes du parvis, il les revêtit d’argent.

The sockets for the pillars were of bronze. The hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver; and the overlaying of their capitals, of silver; and all the pillars of the court were filleted with silver.

18 Et à l’entrée du parvis, il fit en ouvrage de brodeur un rideau d’hyacinthe, de pourpre, d’écarlate et de fin lin retors lequel avait la hauteur était de cinq coudées, selon la mesure que tous les rideaux du parvis avaient.

The screen for the gate of the court was the work of the embroiderer, of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen. Twenty cubits [30 ft; 91.44 m] was the length, and the height in the width was five cubits [7.5 ft; 22.9 m], like to the hangings of the court.

19 Mais il y avait quatre colonnes à l’entrée avec leurs soubassements d’airain; et leurs chapiteaux et leurs ornements étaient d’argent.

Their pillars were four cubits [6 ft; 18.3 m], and their sockets four cubits [6 ft; 18.3 m], of bronze; their hooks of silver, and the overlaying of their capitals, and their fillets, of silver.

20 Il fit aussi autour du tabernacle et du parvis les pieux d’airain.

All the pins of the tabernacle, and around the court, were of bronze.

21 Telles sont les parties du tabernacle du témoignage, qui furent énumérées par Tordre de Moïse pour les cérémonies des Lévites par l’entremise d’Ithamar fils d’Aaron, le prêtre,

This is the amount of material used for the tabernacle, even the Tabernacle of the Testimony, as they were counted, as Moses [Drawn out] ordered, for the service of the Levites [Descendants of United with], by the hand of Ithamar, the son of Aaron [Light-bringer] the priest.

22 Et que Béséléel, fils d’Uri, fils de Hur, de la tribu de Juda, le Seigneur l’ordonnant par Moïse avait achevé,

Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah [Praised], made all that Adonai enjoined Moses [Drawn out].

23 Après s’être adjoint Ooliab, fils d’Achisamech de la tribu de Dan, qui était aussi lui-même ouvrier habile en bois, tisseur en diverses couleurs, et brodeur en hyacinthe, en pourpre, en écarlate et en fin lin.

With him was Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan [He judged], an engraver, and a skillful workman, and an embroiderer in blue, in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen.

24 Tout l’or qui fut dépensé pour le travail du sanctuaire et qui fut offert en dons, fut de vingt-neuf talents et de sept cent trente sicles, selon la mesure du sanctuaire.

All the gold that was used for the work in all the work of the sanctuary, even the gold of the offering, was twenty-nine talents, and seven hundred thirty shekels [12 oz; 3/4 lb; 340.2 g], after the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is 0.4oz; 11.34 g).

25 Or ces offrandes furent faites par ceux qui entrèrent dans le dénombrement, depuis vingt ans et au-dessus, au nombre de six cent trois mille et cinq cent cinquante portant les armes.

The silver of those who were counted of the congregation was one hundred talents [300,000 shekels; 7,500 lb; 3,402 kg], and one thousand seven hundred seventy-five shekels [44.375 lb; 20.129 kg], after the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is 0.4oz; 11.34 g):

26 Il y eut de plus cent talents d’argent, dont furent fondus les soubassements du sanctuaire et l’entrée où le voile était suspendu.

a beka [1/5 oz; 5.67 g] a head, that is, half a shekel [0.2 oz; 5.67 g], after the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is 0.4oz; 11.34 g), for everyone who passed over to those who were counted, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty men.

27 Cent soubassements furent faits avec cent talents, un talent supputé pour chaque soubassement.

The one hundred talents [300,000 sheckles; 7,500 lb; 3,402 kg] of silver were for casting the sockets of the sanctuary, and the sockets of the veil; one hundred sockets for the one hundred talents [300,000 sheckles; 7,500 lb; 3,402 kg], one talent [3,000 sheckles; 75 lb; 34.02 kg] for a socket.

28 Mais avec les mille sept cent et soixante-quinze sicles il fit les chapiteaux des colonnes, qu’il revêtit aussi d’argent.

Of the one thousand seven hundred seventy-five shekels [44.38 lb; 20.13 kg] he made hooks for the pillars, overlaid their capitals, and made chasak ·joints for binding·.

29 On offrit encore deux mille et soixante-dix talents d’airain, et de plus quatre cents sicles,

The bronze of the offering was seventy talents [210,000 shekels; 5,250 lb; 2,381.4 kg], and two thousand four hundred shekels [60 lb; 27.22 kg].

30 Dont furent fondus les soubassements à l’entrée du tabernacle de témoignage, l’autel d’airain avec sa grille, tous les vases qui appartiennent à son usage,

With this he made the sockets to the door of the Tent of Meeting, the bronze altar, the bronze grating for it, all the utensils of the altar,

31 Les soubassements du parvis, tant autour qu’à son entrée, et les pieux du tabernacle et du parvis tout autour.

the sockets around the court, the sockets of the gate of the court, all the pins of the tabernacle, and all the pins around the court.
