Néhémie 12
1 Et voici les Prêtres et les Lévites qui rentrèrent avec Zorobabel, fils de Sealthiel, et Jésuah: Seraïa, Jérémie, Esdras,
These also are the Priestes and the Leuites that went vp with Zerubbabel, the sonne of Shealtiel, and Ieshua: to wit, Seraiah, Ieremiah, Ezra,
2 Amaria, Malluch, Hattus,
Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,
3 Sechania, Rehum, Merémoth,
Shecaniah, Rehum, Merimoth,
4 Iddo, Ginthoï, Abia,
Iddo, Ginnetho, Abiiah,
5 Mijamin, Maadia, Bilga,
Miamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,
6 Semaïa et Jojarib, Jedaïa,
Shemaiah, and Ioiarib, Iedaiah,
7 Sallu, Amoc, Hilkia, Jedaïa. C'étaient les Chefs des Prêtres et de leurs frères au temps de Jésuah.
Sallu, Amok, Hilkiiah, Iedaiah: these were the chiefe of the Priests, and of their brethren in the dayes of Ieshua.
8 Et les Lévites: Jésuah, Binnuï, Cadmiel, Sérébia, Juda, Matthania [préposés] pour les hymnes, lui et ses frères,
And the Leuites, Ieshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Iudah, Mattaniah were ouer the thankesgiuings, he, and his brethren.
9 et Bacbukia et Unni, leurs frères, collatéralement avec eux pour faire la garde.
And Bakbukiah and Vnni, and their brethren were about them in the watches.
10 Et Jésuah engendra Jojakim, et Jojakim engendra Eliasib, et Eliasib engendra Jojada,
And Ieshua begate Ioiakim: Ioiakim also begate Eliashib, and Eliashib begate Ioiada.
11 et Jojada engendra Jonathan, et Jonathan engendra Jadduah.
And Ioiada begate Ionathan, and Ionathan begate Iaddua,
12 Et au temps de Jojakim parmi les Prêtres étaient patriarches: de Seraïa Meraïa, de Jérémie Hanania,
And in the daies of Ioiakim were these, the chiefe fathers of the Priests: vnder Seraiah was Meraiah, vnder Ieremiah, Hananiah,
13 d'Esdras Mesullam, d'Amaria Jochanan,
Vnder Ezra, Meshullam, vnder Amariah, Iehohanan,
14 de Meluchi Jonathan, de Sebania Joseph,
Vnder Melicu, Ionathan, vnder Shebaniah, Ioseph,
15 de Harim Adna, de Meraïoth Helcaï,
Vnder Harim, Adna, vnder Maraioth, Helkai,
16 de Iddo Zacharie, de Ginthon Mesullam,
Vnder Iddo, Zechariah, vnder Ginnithon, Meshullam,
17 de Abia Zichri, de Minjamin, de Moadia Piltaï,
Vnder Abiiah, Zichri, vnder Miniamin, and vnder Moadiah, Piltai,
18 de Bilga Sammua, de Semaïa Jonathan,
Vnder Bilgah, Shammua, vnder Shemaiah, Iehonathan,
19 de Jojarib Matthnaï, de Jedaïa Uzzi,
Vnder Ioiarib, Mattenai, vnder Iedaiah, Vzzi,
20 de Sallaï Callaï, de Amoc Eber,
Vnder Sallai, Kallai, vnder Amok, Eber,
21 de Hilkia Hasabia, de Jedaïa Nethaneël.
Vnder Hilkiah, Hashabiah, vnder Iedaiah, Nethaneel.
22 Quant aux Lévites au temps d'Eliasib, de Jojada, de Jochanan et de Jaddua les patriarches furent inscrits, et quant aux Prêtres ce fut sous le règne de Darius, le Perse.
In the dayes of Eliashib, Ioiada, and Iohanan and Iaddua were the chiefe fathers of the Leuites written, and the Priests in the reigne of Darius the Persian.
23 Les patriarches des fils de Lévi sont inscrits dans le livre des Annales jusqu'au temps de Jochanan, fils d'Eliasib.
The sonnes of Leui, the chiefe fathers were written in the booke of the Chronicles euen vnto the dayes of Iohanan the sonne of Eliashib.
24 Or les chefs des Lévites étaient: Hasabia, Sérébia et Jésuah, fils de Cadmiel, et leurs frères étaient collatéralement chargés de la louange et de l'action de grâces, selon l'ordonnance de David, l'homme de Dieu, une fonction correspondant à une fonction.
And the chiefe of the Leuites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Ieshua the sonne of Kadmiel, and their brethren about them to giue prayse and thankes, according to the ordinance of Dauid the man of God, ward ouer against warde.
25 Matthania et Bacbukia, Obadia, Mesullam, Talmon, Accub montaient la garde comme portiers aux magasins des portes.
Mattaniah and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon and Akkub were porters keeping the warde at the thresholds of the gates.
26 Ceux-ci appartenaient à l'époque de Jojakim, fils de Jésuah, fils de Jotsadac, et à l'époque de Néhémie, le Gouverneur, et d'Esdras, le Prêtre, le Scribe.
These were in the dayes of Ioiakim, the sonne of Ieshua, the sonne of Iozadak, and in the dayes of Nehemiah the captaine, and of Ezra the Priest and scribe.
27 Et lorsqu'il s'agit de la consécration du mur de Jérusalem, on alla chercher les Lévites dans toutes leurs localités pour les amener à Jérusalem, pour faire la consécration et la réjouissance avec des hymnes et des cantiques, avec des cymbales, des harpes et des luths.
And in the dedication of the wall at Ierusalem they sought the Leuites out of all their places to bring them to Ierusalem to keepe the dedication and gladnes, both with thankesgiuings and with songs, cymbales, violes and with harpes.
28 Alors se réunirent les fils des Chantres du district qui entoure Jérusalem, et des bourgs des Netophatites,
Then the singers gathered themselues together both from the plaine countrey about Ierusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi,
29 et de Beth-Gilgal, et des campagnes de Géba et d'Azmaveth; car les Chantres s'étaient bâti des bourgs autour de Jérusalem.
And from the house of Gilgal, and out of the countreis of Geba, and Azmaueth: for the singers had built them villages round about Ierusalem.
30 Et les Prêtres et les Lévites se purifièrent, et purifièrent le peuple, et les portes et le mur.
And the Priests and Leuites were purified, and clensed the people, and the gates, and the wall.
31 Alors je fis monter les chefs de Juda sur la muraille, et je disposai deux grands chœurs pour l'action de grâces et des processions: [le premier marcha] à droite sur le mur vers la Porte du Fumier.
And I brought vp the princes of Iudah vpon the wall, and appointed two great companies to giue thankes, and the one went on the right hand of the wall toward the dung gate.
32 Et après eux marchaient Hosaïa et une moitié des Princes de Juda,
And after them went Hoshaiah, and halfe of the princes of Iudah,
33 savoir Azaria, Esdras et Mesullam,
And Azariah, Ezra and Meshullam,
34 Juda et Benjamin et Semaïa et Jérémie;
Iudah, Beniamin, and Shemaiah, and Ieremiah,
35 et des fils des Prêtres avec des trompettes: Zacharie, fils de Jonathan, fils de Semaïa, fils de Matthania, fils de Michaïa, fils de Zaccur, fils d'Asaph
And of the Priests sonnes with trumpets, Zechariah the sonne of Ionathan, the sonne of Shemaiah, the sonne of Mattaniah, the sonne of Michaiah, the sonne of Zaccur, ye sonne of Asaph.
36 et ses frères: Semaïa et Azareël, Milelaï, Gilelaï, Maaï, Nethaneël et Juda, Hanani, avec les instruments de musique de David, l'homme de Dieu, et Esdras, le Scribe, les précédait.
And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Iudah, Hanani, with the musicall instruments of Dauid the man of God: and Ezra the scribe went before them.
37 Et à la Porte de la Source vis-à-vis d'eux ils montèrent la rampe de la Cité de David, la montée du mur au-dessus du palais de David jusqu'à la Porte de l'Eau à l'Orient.
And to the gate of the fountaine, euen ouer against them went they vp by the staires of the citie of Dauid, at the going vp of the wall beyond the house of Dauid, euen vnto the water gate Eastward.
38 Et le second chœur marchait à l'opposite, et moi derrière lui, ainsi que l'autre moitié du peuple, sur le mur au-dessus de la Tour aux Fourneaux, jusqu'au large mur
And the seconde companie of them that gaue thankes, went on the other side, and I after them, and the halfe of the people was vpon the wall, and vpon the towre of the furnaces euen vnto the broad wall.
39 et au-dessus de la Porte d'Éphraïm et de l'Ancienne Porte et de la Porte aux Poissons et de la Tour Hananeël et de la Tour Méa jusqu'à la Porte des Brebis, et ils firent halte près de la Porte des Prisons.
And vpon the gate of Ephraim, and vpon the olde gate, and vpon the fishgate, and the towre of Hananeel, and the towre of Meah, euen vnto the sheepegate: and they stood in the gate of the warde.
40 Et ainsi, les deux chœurs se trouvèrent à la Maison de Dieu, ainsi que moi et la moitié des chefs qui m'accompagnaient et les Prêtres:
So stood the two companies (of them that gaue thankes) in the house of God, and I and the halfe of the rulers with me.
41 Eliakim, Maaseïa, Minjamin, Michaïa, Elioeinaï, Zacharie, Hanania avec des trompettes,
The Priests also, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah, with trumpets,
42 et Maaseïa et Semaïa et Éléazar et Uzzi et Jochanan et Malchiia et Eilam et Ezer. Et les Chantres se firent entendre, et Jizerahia dirigeait.
And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Vzzi, and Iehohanan, and Malchiiah, and Elam, and Ezer: and the singers sang loude, hauing Izrahiah which was the ouerseer.
43 Et l'on offrit dans cette journée de grands sacrifices et ils furent dans l'allégresse, car Dieu leur avait accordé une grande joie, et les femmes et les enfants se réjouirent aussi, et la réjouissance de Jérusalem fut entendue au loin.
And the same day they offered great sacrifices and reioyced: for God had giuen them great ioy, so that both the women, and the children were ioyfull: and the ioy of Ierusalem was heard farre off.
44 Et le même jour des hommes furent préposés sur les cellules, aux trésors et aux oblations, aux prémices et aux dîmes, pour y recueillir des campagnes, des villes, les prestations légales attribuées aux Prêtres et aux Lévites. Car c'était pour Juda plaisir que de voir les Prêtres et les Lévites en fonctions;
Also at the same time were men appointed ouer the chambers of the store for the offerings (for the first fruites, and for the tithes) to gather into them out of the fieldes of the cities, the portions of the Law for the Priests and the Leuites: for Iudah reioyced for the Priests and for the Leuites, that serued.
45 et ils s'acquittaient de tout ce dont il fallait s'acquitter pour leur Dieu, et de ce dont il fallait s'acquitter pour la purification, ainsi que les Chantres et les Portiers, selon l'ordonnance de David et de Salomon, son fils.
And both the singers and the Leuites kept the ward of their God, and the warde of the purification according to the commandement of Dauid, and Salomon his sonne.
46 Car autrefois à l'époque de David et d'Asaph, il y avait des chefs des Chantres et des chefs d'orchestre pour la louange et l'action de grâces à l'honneur de Dieu.
For in the dayes of Dauid and Asaph, of olde were chiefe singers, and songs of praise and thankesgiuing vnto God.
47 Et tout Israël, à l'époque de Zorobabel et à l'époque de Néhémie, paya les redevances aux Chantres et aux Portiers, l'ordinaire de chaque jour, et l'on donna aux Lévites des choses consacrées, et les Lévites firent part des consécrations aux fils d'Aaron.
And in the dayes of Zerubbabel, and in the dayes of Nehemiah did al Israel giue portions vnto the singers and porters, euerie day his portion, and they gaue the holy things vnto the Leuites, and the Leuites gaue the holy things vnto the sonnes of Aaron.
