Psaumes 9
1 Au maître de chant. Sur l'air " Mort au fils ". Psaume de David. Je louerai Yahweh de tout mon cœur, je raconterai toutes tes merveilles.
To the chief music-maker on Muthlabben. A Psalm. Of David. I will give you praise, O Lord, with all my heart; I will make clear all the wonder of your works.
2 Je me réjouirai et je tressaillerai en toi, je chanterai ton nom, ô Très-Haut.
I will be glad and have delight in you: I will make a song of praise to your name, O Most High.
3 Mes ennemis reculent, ils trébuchent et tombent devant ta face.
When my haters are turned back, they will be broken and overcome before you.
4 Car tu as fait triompher mon droit et ma cause, tu t'es assis sur ton trône en juste juge.
For you gave approval to my right and my cause; you were seated in your high place judging in righteousness.
5 Tu as châtié les nations, tu as fait périr l'impie, tu as effacé leur nom pour toujours et à jamais.
You have said sharp words to the nations, you have sent destruction on the sinners, you have put an end to their name for ever and ever.
6 L'ennemi est anéanti! Des ruines pour toujours! Des villes que tu as renversées! Leur souvenir a disparu!
You have given their towns to destruction; the memory of them has gone; they have become waste for ever.
7 Mais Yahweh siège à jamais, il a dressé son trône pour le jugement.
But the Lord is King for ever: he has made ready his high seat for judging.
8 Il juge le monde avec justice, il juge les peuples avec droiture.
And he will be the judge of the world in righteousness, giving true decisions for the peoples.
9 Et Yahweh est un refuge pour l'opprimé, un refuge au temps de la détresse.
The Lord will be a high tower for those who are crushed down, a high tower in times of trouble;
10 En toi se confient tous ceux qui connaissent ton nom; car tu ne délaisses pas ceux qui te cherchent, Yahweh.
And those who have knowledge of your name will put their faith in you; because you, Lord, have ever given your help to those who were waiting for you.
11 Chantez à Yahweh, qui réside en Sion, publiez parmi les peuples ses hauts faits.
Make songs of praise to the Lord, whose house is in Zion: make his doings clear to the people.
12 Car celui qui redemande le sang versé s'en est souvenu, il n'a point oublié le cri des affligés.
When he makes search for blood, he has them in his memory: he is not without thought for the cry of the poor.
13 " Aie pitié de moi, Yahweh, disaient-ils; vois l'affliction où m'ont réduit mes ennemis, toi qui me retires des portes de la mort,
Have mercy on me, O Lord, and see how I am troubled by my haters; let me be lifted up from the doors of death;
14 afin que je puisse raconter toutes les louanges, aux portes de la fille de Sion, tressaillir de joie à cause de ton salut. "
So that I may make clear all your praise in the house of the daughter of Zion: I will be glad because of your salvation.
15 Les nations sont tombées dans la fosse qu'elles ont creusée, dans le lacet qu'elles ont caché s'est pris leur pied.
The nations have gone down into the hole which they made: in their secret net is their foot taken.
16 Yahweh s'est montré, il a exercé le jugement, dans l'œuvre de ses mains il a enlacé l'impie. (Higgaion) Séla.
The Lord has given knowledge of himself through his judging: the evil-doer is taken in the net which his hands had made. (Higgaion, Selah)
The sinners and all the nations who have no memory of God will be turned into the underworld. (Sheol h7585)
18 Car le malheureux n'est pas toujours oublié, l'espérance des affligés ne périt pas à jamais.
For the poor will not be without help; the hopes of those in need will not be crushed for ever.
19 Lève-toi, Yahweh! Que l'homme ne triomphe pas! Que les nations soient jugées devant ta face!
Up! O Lord; let not man overcome you: let the nations be judged before you.
20 Répands sur elles l'épouvante, Yahweh; que les peuples sachent qu'ils sont des hommes! — Séla.
Put them in fear, O Lord, so that the nations may see that they are only men. (Selah)
