Psaumes 146

1 Louez Yah! Loue Yahvé, mon âme.

Praise ye the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul!

2 Tant que je vivrai, je louerai Yahvé. Je chanterai les louanges de mon Dieu aussi longtemps que j'existerai.

I will praise the LORD, as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God, while I have my being.

3 Ne mettez pas votre confiance dans les princes, dans un fils d'homme en qui il n'y a pas de secours.

Put not your trust in princes, In the son of man, in whom is no help!

4 Son esprit s'en va, et il retourne à la terre. En ce jour même, ses pensées périssent.

His breath goeth forth; he returneth to the dust; In that very day his plans perish.

5 Heureux celui qui a pour secours le Dieu de Jacob! dont l'espoir est en Yahvé, son Dieu,

Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help; Whose hope is in the LORD, his God;

6 qui a fait le ciel et la terre, la mer, et tout ce qui s'y trouve; qui garde la vérité pour toujours;

Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that is therein; Who keepeth truth for ever;

7 qui exécute la justice pour les opprimés; qui donne de la nourriture aux affamés. Yahvé libère les prisonniers.

Who executeth judgment for the oppressed; Who giveth food to the hungry. The LORD setteth free the prisoners;

8 Yahvé ouvre les yeux des aveugles. Yahvé relève ceux qui sont courbés. Yahvé aime les justes.

The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind; The LORD raiseth up them that are bowed down; The LORD loveth the righteous.

9 Yahvé préserve les étrangers. Il soutient l'orphelin et la veuve, mais il renverse la voie des méchants.

The LORD preserveth the strangers; He relieveth the fatherless and the widow; But the way of the wicked he maketh crooked.

10 Yahvé régnera à jamais; ton Dieu, Sion, de génération en génération. Louez Yah!

The LORD shall reign for ever; Thy God, O Zion! to all generations! Praise ye the LORD!
