1 Eye mekpɔ dziƒo yeye kple anyigba yeye, elabena dziƒo gbãtɔ kple anyigba gbãtɔ nu va yi, eye atsiaƒu aɖeke hã megali o.
Then I saw new heavens and a new earth. The former heavens and the former earth had passed away; and the sea has ceased to be.
2 Mekpɔ Du Kɔkɔe la si nye Yerusalem yeye la le ɖiɖim tso dziƒo tso Mawu gbɔ, eye woɖo atsyɔ̃ nɛ abe ŋugbetɔ si wowɔ leke na hena srɔ̃a ene.
And I saw the Holy City, Jerusalem, descending new out of Heaven from God, like a bride adorned in readiness for her husband.
3 Tete mese gbe gã aɖe tso fiazikpui la gbɔ le gbɔgblɔm be, “Kpɔ ɖa, Mawu ƒe nɔƒe le amegbetɔwo dome azɔ, eye wòanɔ wo gbɔ. Woanye eƒe dukɔ, Mawu ŋutɔ anɔ wo gbɔ, eye wòanye woƒe Mawu.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne, which said — ‘See! the Tabernacle of God is set up among men. God will dwell among them, and they will be his Peoples, and God himself will be among them,
4 Atutu aɖatsi sia aɖatsi ɖa le woƒe ŋkuwo dzi; ku alo konyifafa alo avifafa alo vevesese maganɔ anyi o, elabena nuɖoanyi xoxoawo nu va yi.”
and he will wipe away all tears from their eyes. There will be no more death, nor will there be any more grief or crying or pain. The old order has passed away.’
And he who was seated on the throne said — ‘See, I make all things new!’ And he said — ‘Write this, for these words may be trusted and are true.’
6 Eyi edzi gblɔ nam be, “Wowɔe vɔ. Nyee nye Alfa kple Omega, Gɔmedzedze kple Nuwuwu. Ame si tsikɔ le wuwum la, mana tsii wòano tso agbetsivudo la me femaxee.
And he said to me — ‘They are fulfilled. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who thirsts I will give of the spring of the Water of Life, freely.
7 Ame si ɖu dzi la, anyi nu siawo katã ƒe dome, eye manye eƒe Mawu, eye eya hã anye vinye,
He who conquers shall enter into possession of these things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my Son.
8 gake vɔvɔ̃nɔtɔwo, dzimaxɔsetɔwo, ame vɔ̃ɖiwo, hlɔ̃dolawo, ahasiwɔlawo, akunyawɔlawo, trɔ̃subɔlawo kple alakpatɔwo katã la, woƒe nɔƒe anye aŋɔdzota si le bibim ŋɔdzitɔe la me. Esiae nye ku evelia.” (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
But as for cowards, unbelievers, the degraded, murderers, the impure, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars — their place will be in the burning lake of fire and sulphur. That is the Second Death.’ (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
9 Mawudɔla adre siwo lé kplu adre siwo me dɔvɔ̃ adre mamlɛawo le la dometɔ ɖeka va gblɔ nam be, “Va, ne mafia ŋugbetɔ si nye Alẽvi la srɔ̃ la wò.”
Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls, and were laden with the seven last Curses, came and spoke to me. ‘Come here,’ he said, ‘and I will show you the Bride, the Wife of the Lamb.’
10 Tete wòkɔm dzoe le Gbɔgbɔ la me heyi ɖe to gã kɔkɔ aɖe dzi, eye wòɖe Du Kɔkɔe, Yerusalem, si le ɖiɖim tso dziƒo tso Mawu gbɔ la fiam.
He carried me away in a trance to a great high mountain, and showed me Jerusalem, the Holy City, descending out of Heaven from God, filled with the glory of God.
11 Ele keklẽm kple Mawu ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe, eye eƒe keklẽ le abe kpe xɔasi aɖe ene, eye wòle abe yaspakpe ene, eye eme kɔ keŋkeŋkeŋ abe kristalokpe ene.
Its brilliance was like that of some very precious stone, like a jasper, transparent as crystal.
12 Wotɔ kpɔ titri kɔkɔ aɖe ɖe eŋu, eye woɖe mɔnu wuieve siwo nu agbo le la ɖe gli la me, eye mawudɔla wuieve le agboawo nu. Woŋlɔ Israel ƒe to wuieveawo ƒe ŋkɔwo ɖe agboawo dzi.
It had a great high wall, in which were twelve gates; and at these gates there were twelve angels, and there were names inscribed on the gates, the names of the twelve tribes of the Israelites.
‘There were three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.’
14 Woɖo gɔmeɖokpe wuieve na du la ƒe gliwo, eye woŋlɔ Alẽvi la ƒe apostolo wuieveawo ƒe ŋkɔwo ɖe wo dzi.
The wall of the City had twelve foundation stones, on which were the twelve names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb.
And the angel who was speaking to me had as a measure a gold rod, with which to measure the City and its gates and its wall.
16 Wotso du la ale be eƒe kekeme kple didime siaa sɔ. Edzidze du la, eye wòkpɔ be eƒe didime, kekeme kple kɔkɔme katã nye dzidzeme ɖeka si nye kilomita akpe eve kple alafa eve.
The City is square; the length and the breadth are the same. The angel measured with his rod; it was twelve hundred miles; its length, and breadth, and height are equal.
Then he measured the wall; it was two hundred and eighty-eight feet, as men measure, that is as the angel measured.
18 Wotsɔ yaspakpe xɔasi ɖo gli lae, eye wotsɔ sika si me kɔ abe ahuhɔ̃e ene la tso du lae.
The material of the wall of the City was jasper, and the City was built of pure gold, which shone like clear glass.
19 Wotsɔ kpe xɔasi vovovowo ɖo atsyɔ̃ na dua ƒe gli ƒe gɔmeɖokpee. Yaspakpe nye fli gbãtɔ, wotsɔ safirkpe ɖo fli eveliae, fli etɔ̃lia nye kalkedonikpe, fli enelia nye emeraldkpe;
The foundations of the wall of the City were ornamented with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was a jasper; the second a sapphire; the third a chalcedony; the fourth an emerald;
20 woɖo fli atɔ̃lia kple sardonixkpe, fli adelia nye karneliakpe, adrelia nye krisolitekpe, enyilia nye berilkpe, asiekɛlia nye topazkpe, ewolia nye krisoprasekpe, wuiɖekɛlia nye yakintkpe, eye wuievelia nye ametistkpe.
the fifth a sardonyx; the sixth a carnelian; the seventh a chrysolite; the eighth a beryl; the ninth a topaz; the tenth a chrysoprase; the eleventh a hyacinth; and the twelfth an amethyst.
21 Agbo wuieveawo nye kpe xɔasi wuieve, eye wowɔ agbo ɖe sia ɖe kple kpe xɔasi ɖeka. Wowɔ dumɔ gã la kple sika akuakua, eye eme dza abe ahuhɔ̃e ene.
The twelve gates were made of twelve pearls, each gate of one pearl. The street of the City was of pure gold, transparent as glass.
And I saw no Temple there, for the Lord, our God, the Almighty, and the Lamb are its Temple.
23 Du la mehiã ɣe alo ɣleti be woaklẽ nɛ o, elabena Mawu ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe naa kekelii, eye Alẽvi lae nye eƒe akaɖi.
The City has no need of ‘the sun or the moon to shine upon it, for the Glory of God illuminated it,’ and its Lamp was the Lamb.
24 Dukɔwo azɔ le eƒe kekeli nu, eye anyigbadzifiawo atsɔ woƒe atsyɔ̃ age ɖe eme.
‘The nations walk by the light of it; and the kings of the earth bring their glory into it.
25 Eƒe agbowo anɔ ʋuʋu ɖi ɖaa, elabena zã mado le afi ma o.
Its gates will never be shut by day,’ and there will be no night there.
26 Woatsɔ dukɔwo ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe kple bubu ava eme.
And men will bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 Nu makɔmakɔ aɖeke mage ɖe eme gbeɖe o; nenema kee nye ŋunyɔnuwɔlawo kple ameblelawo hã, negbe ame siwo ƒe ŋkɔwo woŋlɔ ɖe Alẽvi la ƒe agbegbalẽ la me koe age ɖe eme.
‘Never shall any unhallowed thing enter it,’ nor he whose life is shameful and false, but only ‘those whose names have been written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.’
