< Psalmowo 91 >
1 Ame si nɔ Dziƒoʋĩtɔ la ƒe bebeƒe la agbɔ ɖe eme le Ŋusẽkatãtɔ la ƒe vɔvɔli te.
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, Under the shadow of the Almighty, will tarry,
2 Magblɔ na Yehowa be, “Eyae nye nye sitsoƒe kple nye mɔ sesẽ, nye Mawu si ŋu meku ɖo.”
Saying of Yahweh—My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I will trust.
3 Vavã, aɖe wò le xevimɔtrela ƒe mɔ kple dɔvɔ̃ dziŋɔ me.
For, he, will rescue thee, From the snare of the fowler, From the destructive pestilence.
4 Atsɔ eƒe fuwo atsyɔ dziwò, àkpɔ sitsoƒe le eƒe aʋala te, eye eƒe nuteƒewɔwɔ anye wò akpoxɔnu kple mɔxenu aƒo xlã wò.
With his pinion, will he cover thee, And, under his wings, shalt thou seek refuge, A shield and buckler, is his faithfulness.
5 Màvɔ̃ zãmeŋɔdzi alo aŋutrɔ si le ʋɔ lũm le ŋkeke me,
Thou shalt not be afraid, Of the dread of the night, Of the arrow that flieth by day;
6 dɔvɔ̃ si le tsatsam le viviti me, alo dɔxɔleameŋu si le nu gblẽm le ŋdɔ la o.
Of the pestilence that, in darkness, doth walk, Of the plague that layeth waste at noonday.
7 Akpe adze anyi ɖe axawò, eye akpe ewo ɖe wò nuɖusime, ke wò la, mate ɖe ŋuwò o.
There shall fall, at thy side, a thousand, Yea, myriads, at thy right hand, Unto thee, shall it not come nigh;
8 Ɖeko nàkpɔe kple wò ŋkuwo, eye àkpɔ ale si woahe to na ame vɔ̃ɖiwoe.
Save only, with thine own eyes, shalt thou discern, And, the recompense of the lawless, shalt thou see.
9 Ne ètsɔ Dziƒoʋĩtɔ la, Yehowa, ame si nye nye sitsoƒe wɔ nɔwòƒee la,
Because, thou, [hast made] Yahweh, my refuge, —The Most High, thou hast made thy dwelling-place,
10 ekema dzɔgbevɔ̃e maɖi kpe wò o, eye gbegblẽ mate ɖe wò agbadɔ ŋu o,
There shall not be sent unto thee misfortune, Nor shall, plague, come near into thy tent;
11 elabena ade se na eƒe dɔlawo tso ŋutiwò, be woakpɔ tawò le wò mɔwo katã dzi.
For, his messengers, will he charge concerning thee, To keep thee, in all thy ways;
12 Woakɔ wò ɖe woƒe asiwo me, be màtsɔ wò afɔ axlã ɖe kpe aɖeke o.
On hands, will they bear thee up, Lest thou strike, against a stone, thy foot;
13 Àɖo afɔ dzata kple ƒli dzi, eye ànya avuzi le dzata dziŋɔ kple da vɔ̃ɖi dzi.
On the lion and adder, shalt thou tread, Shalt trample on young lion and crocodile.
14 Yehowa be, “Maɖee, elabena elɔ̃m, madzɔ eŋu, elabena enya nye ŋkɔ.
Because, on me, he hath set firm his love, Therefore will I deliver him, I will set him on high, Because he hath known my Name;
15 Ayɔm, eye matɔ nɛ; manɔ anyi kplii le xaxa me, maɖee, eye made bubu eŋuti.
He shall call me, and I will answer him, With him, will, I, be, in distress, I will rescue him, and will honour him;
16 Matsɔ agbe didi aɖi ƒo nɛ, eye maɖe nye xɔxɔ afiae.”
With length of days, will I satisfy him, And will show him my salvation.
