< Psalmowo 79 >
1 Asaf ƒe ha. O! Mawu, dukɔwo nye zi ɖe wò domenyinu la dzi, wodo gu wò gbedoxɔ kɔkɔe la, eye wogbã Yerusalem wòzu anyiglagoe.
A Melody of Asaph. O God, nations, Have entered thine inheritance, Have profaned thy holy temple, —Have laid Jerusalem in heaps:
2 Wotsɔ wò dɔlawo ƒe kukuawo na dziƒoxewo abe nuɖuɖu ene, eye wotsɔ wò ame kɔkɔeawo ƒe ŋutilã na anyigbadzilã wɔadãwo.
They have given, The dead bodies of thy servants, As food for the birds of the heavens, The flesh of thy men of lovingkindness, Unto the wild beast of the earth:
3 Wokɔ woƒe ʋu ɖi abe tsi ene ƒo xlã Yerusalem, eye ame aɖeke meli aɖi ame kukuawo o.
They have poured out their blood like water, Round about Jerusalem, With none to bury.
4 Míezu fewuɖunu na míaƒe aƒelikawo, eye míezu alɔmeɖenu kple vlodonu na ame siwo ƒo xlã mí.
We have become, A reproach to our neighbours, —A mockery and a derision, to them who are round about us.
5 O! Yehowa, va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣi? Ɖe nàdo dɔmedzoe tegbeea? Va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣi wò ŋuʋaʋã abi abe dzo ene?
How long, O Yahweh, wilt thou be angry utterly? Shall thy jealousy, burn like fire?
6 Trɔ wò dziku helĩhelĩ la kɔ ɖe dukɔ siwo menya wò o la dzi kple fiaɖuƒe siwo meyɔa wò ŋkɔ o la dzi.
Pour out thy wrath, Upon the nations that have not known thee—and, Upon the kingdoms that, on thy Name, have not called.
7 Elabena wovuvu Yakob, eye wogbã eƒe denyigba.
For he hath devoured Jacob, —And, his dwelling-place, have they laid waste.
8 Mègawɔ na mí ɖe mía fofowo ƒe nu vɔ̃ nu o; na wò nublanuikpɔkpɔ nava do go mí kaba, elabena míeɖo xaxa gã aɖe me.
Do not remember against us former iniquities, —Haste thee, let thy compassions, come to meet us, For we have been brought very low!
9 O! Mawu, mía Ɖela, kpe ɖe mía ŋu le wò ŋkɔ ƒe bubu ta. Ɖe mí, eye nàtsɔ míaƒe nu vɔ̃wo ake mí le wò ŋkɔ la ta.
Help us, O God of our salvation, on account of the glory of thy Name, —Rescue us then, and put a propitiatory-covering over our sins, For the sake of thy Name.
10 Nu ka ŋuti dukɔwo agblɔ be, “Afi ka woƒe Mawu la le?” Le míawo ŋutɔ ƒe ŋkume, na dukɔwo nanya be, èbia hlɔ̃ na wò dɔla siwo ƒe ʋu wokɔ ɖi.
Wherefore should the nations say—Where is their God? Let him be known among the nations before our eyes! [Yea! By] the avenging of the blood of thy servants which hath been shed!
11 Aʋaléleawo ƒe ŋeŋe neɖo gbɔwò, tsɔ wò asi ƒe ŋusẽ ɖe ame siwo wotso kufia na.
Let the groaning of the prisoner, come in before thee, —According to the greatness of thine arm, Set free them who are appointed to death.
12 O! Aƒetɔ, ɖo vlo, si míaƒe aƒelikawo do wò la teƒe na wo zi adre.
Return, therefore, unto our neighbours—Sevenfold, into their own bosom, The reproach wherewith they have reproached thee, O Adonay!
13 Ekema mí wò dukɔ, wò lãnyiƒe ƒe alẽwo akafu wò tegbee, eye tso dzidzime yi dzidzime míaɖe wò kafukafu afia.
So, we, thy people, and the sheep of thy pasture, will give thanks unto thee, to times age-abiding, —To generation after generation, will we recount thy praise.
