< Psalmowo 5 >

1 David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. Woadzii kple kpẽ. O! Yehowa, ɖo to nye nyawo, eye nàse nye hũɖeɖe.
To the Chief Musician. For the Flutes. A Melody of David. To my words, give ear, O Yahweh, Understand thou my softly murmured prayer:
2 Fianye kple Mawunye, ɖo to nye ɣlidodo, elabena wòe mele gbe dom ɖa na.
Attend to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for, unto thee, do I pray.
3 O! Yehowa, le ŋdi me la, àse nye gbe; le ŋdi me la, matsɔ nye biabiawo aɖo ŋkuwò me, eye manɔ lalam kple mɔkpɔkpɔ.
O Yahweh! in the morning, shalt thou hear my voice, In the morning, will I set in order unto thee, and keep watch;
4 Menye Mawu si kpɔa dzidzɔ le vɔ̃ ŋutie nènye o; wò la, ame vɔ̃ɖiwo mate ŋu anɔ gbɔwò o.
For, not a GOD finding pleasure in lawlessness, art thou, and wrong can be no guest of thine:
5 Ɖokuiŋudzelawo mate ŋu atsi tsitre ɖe ŋkuwò me o; elabena èlé fu nu vlo wɔlawo katã.
Boasters, shall not station themselves, before thine eyes, —Thou hatest all workers of iniquity:
6 Ètsrɔ̃ aʋatsokalawo; Yehowa tsri hlɔ̃dolawo kple ameblelawo.
Thou wilt destroy them who speak falsehood, —The man of bloodshed and of deceit, Yahweh abhorreth.
7 Ke nye ya, mava wò aƒe me to wò nublanuikpɔkpɔ gã la me. Matsɔ bubu ade ta agu ɖe wò gbedoxɔ kɔkɔe la ŋgɔ.
But, I, in the abounding of thy lovingkindness, will enter thy house, I will bow down towards thy holy temple, in reverence of thee:
8 Kplɔm, O! Yehowa, le wò dzɔdzɔenyenye nu le nye futɔwo ta, eye wɔ wò mɔwo dzɔdzɔe le ŋkunye me.
O Yahweh! lead me in thy righteousness, because of mine adversaries, Make even, before me, thy way:
9 Womate ŋu axɔ nya siwo doa go tso woƒe nu me la ɖeka pɛ hã dzi ase o, woƒe dzi yɔ fũu kple gbegblẽ. Woƒe ve me le abe yɔdo si le ʋuʋu ɖi la ene, eye wotsɔa woƒe aɖe gblɔa alakpanyawoe.
For in his mouth is nothing worthy of trust, Their inward purpose, is engulphing ruin, —An opened sepulchre, is their throat, With their tongue, speak they smooth things.
10 O! Mawu, bu fɔ wo! Na be woƒe ayemɔwo naƒu wo anyi. Ɖe wo ɖa le woƒe nu vɔ̃ gbogboawo ta, elabena wodze aglã ɖe ŋuwò.
Declare them guilty, O God, Let them fall by their own counsels, —Into the throng of their own transgressions, thrust them down, For they have rebelled against thee: —
That all may rejoice who seek refuge in thee, to times age-abiding, may shout in triumph, that thou wilt protect them, and they may leap for joy in thee who are lovers of thy Name.
12 O! Yehowa, èyraa ame dzɔdzɔewo vavã, eye nètsɔa wò amenuveve ƒoa xlã wo abe akpoxɔnu ene.
For, thou, wilt bless the righteous man, O Yahweh, As with an all-covering shield—with good pleasure, wilt thou encompass him.
