< Psalmowo 30 >
1 David ƒe ha na gbedoxɔ la ŋutikɔkɔ. O! Yehowa, mado wò ɖe dzi, elabena wòe hem do goe tso ʋe globo me, eye mèna mezu nu ɖikokoe na nye futɔwo o.
A psalm of a canticle, at the dedication of David’s house. I will extol thee, O Lord, for thou hast upheld me: and hast not made my enemies to rejoice over me.
2 O! Yehowa, nye Mawu, mebia kpekpeɖeŋu tso gbɔwò, eye nèyɔ dɔm.
O Lord my God, I have cried to thee, and then hast healed me.
3 O! Yehowa, wòe ɖem tso tsiẽƒe, eye mèna meyi aʋlime o. (Sheol )
Thou hast brought forth, O Lord, my soul from hell: thou hast saved me from them that go down into the pit. (Sheol )
4 Midzi ha na Yehowa, mi eƒe ame kɔkɔewo, eye mikafu eƒe ŋkɔ kɔkɔe la.
Sing to the Lord, O ye his saints: and give praise to the memory of his holiness.
5 Elabena medoa dɔmedzoe eteƒe didina o, ke eƒe amenuveve ya nɔa anyi agbenɔɣi katã. Avifafa anɔ anyi le zã me, gake aseyetsotso ava le ŋdi me.
For wrath is in his indignation; and life in his good will. In the evening weeping shall have place, and in the morning gladness.
6 Esi mekpɔ be meli ke la, megblɔ be, “Nye la, nyemaʋuʋu kpɔ gbeɖe o.”
And in my abundance I said: I shall never be moved.
7 O! Yehowa, esi nève nunye la, èna nye to li ke zã, gake esi nèɣla wò ŋkume ɖem la, nye mo tsi dãa.
O Lord, in thy favour, thou gavest strength to my beauty. Thou turnedst away thy face from me, and I became troubled.
8 Yehowa, wòe meyɔ, Yehowae medo ɣli na be wòakpɔ nublanui nam.
To thee, O Lord, will I cry: and I will make supplication to my God.
9 “Viɖe kae le eme ne donyeme gblẽ alo ne meyi ɖe aʋlime? Ɖe ʋuʋudedi akafu wòa? Ɖe wòaɖe gbeƒã wò nuteƒewɔwɔa?
What profit is there in my blood, whilst I go down to corruption? Shall dust confess to thee, or declare thy truth?
10 See, O! Yehowa, eye nàkpɔ nye nublanui; O! Yehowa, kpe ɖe ŋunye.”
The Lord hath heard, and hath had mercy on me: the Lord became my helper.
11 Èna nye avifafa zu ɣeɖuɖu; èɖe akpanya le ŋutinye hetsɔ dzidzɔkpɔkpɔ do nam,
Thou hast turned for me my mourning into joy: thou hast cut my sackcloth, and hast compassed me with gladness:
12 ale be nye dzi nadzi ha na wò, eye mazi ɖoɖoe o. O! Yehowa, nye Mawu, mada akpe na wò tegbetegbe.
To the end that my glory may sing to thee, and I may not regret: O Lord my God, I will give praise to thee for ever.
