Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
2 Kasia anyigba ʋuʋu sesĩe, elabena mawudɔla aɖe si tso Aƒetɔ la gbɔ la ɖi tso dziƒo va mli kpe gã la ɖa, eye wònɔ anyi ɖe edzi.
Behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky and came and rolled away the stone from the door and sat on it.
3 Mawudɔla la ƒe mo nɔ keklẽm abe dzikedzo ene, eye eƒe awuwo fu tititi abe ɖetifu ene.
His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow.
4 Esi dzɔlawo kpɔe la, dzidzi ƒo wo, eye womu dze anyi heku ƒenyi.
For fear of him, the guards shook, and became like dead men.
5 Mawudɔla la ƒo nu na nyɔnuawo gblɔ be, “Migavɔ̃ o, elabena menya be Yesu si woklã ɖe ati ŋuti la dim miele,
The angel answered the women, “Don’t be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus, who has been crucified.
6 gake mele afi sia o, elabena etsi tsitre abe ale si wògblɔ da ɖi ene. Miva kpɔ afi si wokɔe mlɔ la ɖa.
He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying.
7 Azɔ miɖe abla miayi aɖagblɔe na eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo be etsi tsitre tso ame kukuwo dome, eye wòyina ɖe Galilea be miava kpe ye le afi ma. Mixɔ nye gbedeasi sia yi na wo.”
Go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has risen from the dead, and behold, he goes before you into Galilee; there you will see him.’ Behold, I have told you.”
8 Nyɔnuawo ƒu du dzo le yɔdo la to kple vɔvɔ̃ kple dzidzɔ. Esi wole dua dzi yina ɖe nusrɔ̃lawo di ge la,
They departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word.
9 Yesu va kpe wo. Edo gbe na wo be, “Ŋutifafa na mi,” eye wodze klo ɖe eƒe akɔme helé eƒe afɔwo ɖe asi, eye wosubɔe.
As they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” They came and took hold of his feet, and worshipped him.
10 Yesu gblɔ na wo be, “Migavɔ̃ o! Miyi miagblɔ na nɔvinyewo be woadze mɔ enumake woayi ɖe Galilea, eye woado gom le afi ma.”
Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Go tell my brothers that they should go into Galilee, and there they will see me.”
11 Esi nyɔnuawo le gegem ɖe dua me la, asrafo siwo nɔ yɔdo la ŋuti dzɔm la ƒe ɖewo va nunɔlagãwo gbɔ hegblɔ nu si va dzɔ la na wo.
Now while they were going, behold, some of the guards came into the city and told the chief priests all the things that had happened.
12 Esi nunɔlagãwo kpe ta kple dumegãwo la, wode aɖaŋu, eye wotsɔ ga home gã aɖe na asrafoawo hegblɔ be,
When they were assembled with the elders and had taken counsel, they gave a large amount of silver to the soldiers,
13 “Migblɔ be, ‘Eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo va le zã me, eye wofi eƒe kukua dzoe esime míenɔ alɔ̃ dɔm.’”
saying, “Say that his disciples came by night and stole him away while we slept.
14 Takpekpe la do ŋugbe be, “Nenye be mɔmefia la se nya sia la, míatsi tsitre aʋli mia ta, eye nu sia nu ayi edzi nyuie.”
If this comes to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him and make you free of worry.”
15 Ale asrafoawo xɔ ga la, eye wogblɔ nu si woɖo na wo be woagblɔ la. Nya la kaka ɖe Yudatɔwo dome gbẽe, eye woxɔe se va se ɖe egbegbe gɔ̃ hã.
So they took the money and did as they were told. This saying was spread abroad amongst the Jews, and continues until today.
16 Nusrɔ̃la wuiɖekɛawo hã dze Galilea mɔ dzi, eye woyi ɖe to si dzi Yesu ɖo be yeado go wo le la dzi.
But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had sent them.
17 Wokpe Yesu le afi sia, eye wosubɔe, ke wo dometɔ aɖewo meka ɖe edzi be Yesu ŋutɔe nye ema o.
When they saw him, they bowed down to him; but some doubted.
18 Egblɔ na eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo be, “Wotsɔ ŋusẽ si le dziƒo kple anyigba la katã de asi nam,
Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
19 eya ta miyi ɖawɔ amewo le dukɔ ɖe sia ɖe me woanye nye nusrɔ̃lawo; miade mawutsi ta na wo le Fofo la, Vi la kple Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la ƒe ŋkɔ me.
Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 Miafia nu nusrɔ̃la yeye siawo be woawɔ ɖe se siwo katã mede na mi la dzi, eye kakaɖedzi nenɔ mia si ɣe sia ɣi be meli kpli mi ɣe sia ɣi va se ɖe xexea me ƒe nuwuwu.” (aiōn )
teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (aiōn )
