< Luka 14 >

1 Gbe ɖeka le Dzudzɔgbe dzi, Yesu yi nuɖuƒe le Farisitɔwo ƒe amegã aɖe ƒe aƒe me, eye wonɔ ŋku lém ɖe eŋu vevie.
And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath, that they watched him.
2 Afi ma ŋutsu aɖe si nɔ tetedɔ lém la dze ŋgɔe.
And behold, there was a certain man before him who had the dropsy.
3 Ke Yesu bia Farisitɔ kple senyala siwo nɔ tsitre ɖe afi ma be, “Ele se nu be woada gbe le ame ŋu le Dzudzɔgbe ŋkekea dzia?”
And Jesus answering, spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath?
4 Womeɖo biabia la ŋu nɛ o, ale Yesu lé dɔnɔa ƒe alɔnu, eye wòda gbe le eŋu. Emegbe la, eɖe mɔ nɛ wòdzo.
And they held their peace. And he took [him] and healed him, and let him go;
5 Yesu gatrɔ ɖe ameawo ŋu bia wo be, “Mia dometɔ kae mewɔa dɔ le Dzudzɔgbe ŋkeke dzi o. Nenye be via alo eƒe nyi ge dze do me le Dzudzɔgbe ŋkekea dzi ɖe, meɖenɛ enumake oa?”
And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not forthwith pull him out on the sabbath?
6 Ameawo mete ŋu ɖo biabia sia hã ŋu nɛ o.
And they could not answer him again to these things.
7 Yesu kpɔ be ame siwo katã wokpe be woava ɖu nua la tia kplɔ̃a ta. Le esia ta edo lo na wo gblɔ be,
And he put forth a parable to those who were invited, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying to them,
8 “Nenye be wokpe wò ɖe srɔ̃ɖekplɔ̃ ŋu la, mègaʋli be yeanɔ kplɔ̃ ta o, elabena ne ame ŋkuta aɖe si ŋu bubu le wu wò la va la,
When thou art invited by any [man] to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room, lest a more honorable man than thou be invited by him;
9 ne edzɔ nenema la, ame si kpe wò la akplɔe va afi si nènɔ eye wòagblɔ na wò be, ‘Tso nàtsɔ wò nɔƒe na ame sia.’ Esia ana be ŋu akpe wò, eye nàyi aɖanɔ zikpui sia zikpui si le kplɔ̃a ƒe nuwuwu lɔƒo la dzi.
And he that invited thee and him, shall come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.
10 “Nu si boŋ wòle be nàwɔe nye esi, yi ɖanɔ teƒe aɖe le kplɔ̃a ƒe nuwuwu, eye ne ame si kpe wò la ŋutɔ kpɔ wò la, ava gblɔ na wò be, ‘Nɔvi, míegblẽ nɔƒe nyui aɖe ɖi na wò!’ Ale wòade bubu ŋuwò le ame siwo katã wòkpe la ŋkume.
But when thou art invited, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that invited thee cometh, he may say to thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have honor in the presence of them that sit at table with thee.
11 Ame sia ame si dina be ye ŋutɔ yeade bubu ye ɖokui ŋu la, woabɔbɔe ɖe anyi, eye ame si abɔbɔ eɖokui la, woade bubu eŋu.”
For whoever exalteth himself shall be abased, and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
12 Azɔ etrɔ ɖe ame si kpee ɖe kplɔ̃ ŋu la gbɔ gblɔ nɛ be, “Ne èɖo kplɔ̃ la, mègakpe xɔ̃wòwo, nɔviwòwo kple wò ƒometɔwo kple kesinɔtɔwo o. Elabena woawo hã ava kpe wò ɖe kplɔ̃ ŋu emegbe.
Then said he also to him that invited him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor [thy] rich neighbors; lest they also invite thee again, and a recompense be made thee.
13 Boŋ la, kpe ame dahewo, tekunɔwo, lãmetututɔwo kple ŋkunɔwo.
But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
14 Ekema le ame dzɔdzɔewo ƒe tsitretsitsiŋkekea dzi la, Mawu ŋutɔ axe fe na wò be èwɔ dɔmenyo na ame siwo mate ŋu aɖo eteƒe na wò o.”
And thou shalt be blessed: for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
15 Esi ŋutsu aɖe si nɔ kplɔ̃a ŋu kple Yesu la se nya siawo la, egblɔ na Yesu be, “Woayra ame siwo aɖu abolo le mawufiaɖuƒe la me!”
And when one of them that sat at table with him heard these things, he said to him, Blessed [is] he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
16 Yesu ɖo eƒe nya la ŋu nɛ be, “Ŋutsu aɖe ɖo kplɔ̃ gã aɖe, eye wòkpe ame geɖewo.
Then said he to him, A certain man made a great supper, and invited many:
17 Esi nu sia nu sɔ gbe vɔ be wɔnawo nadze egɔme la, edɔ eƒe subɔvi ɖe ame siwo wòkpe la gbɔ be wòaɖayɔ wo vɛ.
And sent his servant at supper-time, to say to them that were invited, Come, for all things are now ready.
18 “Gake ame sia ame de asi taflatsedodo me esi subɔvi la yi. Ame ɖeka do taflatse be yeƒle anyigba aɖe eye yedi be yeayi aɖalé ŋku ɖe eme, eya ta yemate ŋu ava o.
And they all with one [consent] began to make excuse. The first said to him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.
19 “Bubu hã do taflatse be yeƒle nyitsu ewo be woawɔ dɔ le yeƒe agble me, eya ta yeyina wo do ge akpɔ.
And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.
20 “Ame bubu hã gado taflatse be nyitsɔ laa ko yeɖe srɔ̃, eya ta yemate ŋu agblẽ nyɔnu la ɖi ava o.
And another said, I have married a wife: and therefore I cannot come.
21 “Subɔvi la trɔ va gblɔ nya siwo ameawo gblɔ la na eƒe aƒetɔ. Dɔ me ve aƒetɔa ŋutɔ, eya ta edɔ eƒe subɔvi la wòyi dua ƒe ablɔwo dzi kple kpɔdomewo ɖayɔ nubialawo, tekunɔwo, lãmetututɔwo kple ŋkunɔwo va kplɔ̃a ŋui.
So that servant came, and showed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry, said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.
22 “Togbɔ be dɔla la wɔ esia hã la, egblɔ be, ‘Aƒetɔ wowɔ se si nède la dzi, gake nɔƒe gali.’
And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.
23 “Aƒetɔ la gagblɔ na subɔvia be, ‘Enyo, yi dua ƒe mɔ gãwo dzi kple kpɔwo godo, eye nàƒoe ɖe ame siwo katã nàkpɔ la nu be woava, be aƒea me nayɔ.
And the lord said to the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel [them] to come in, that my house may be filled.
24 Elabena mele egblɔm na mi be ame siwo katã mekpe gbã la ƒe ɖeke maɖɔ nu siwo meɖa na wo la ƒe ɖeke kpɔ o.’”
For I say to you, that none of those men who were invited, shall taste my supper.
25 Ame geɖe ŋutɔ nɔ Yesu yome nɔ yiyim. Ale wòtrɔ ɖe wo ŋu hegblɔ na wo be.
And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said to them,
26 “Ame si di be yeanɔ yonyeme la, ele nɛ be wòalɔ̃m wu fofoa, dadaa, srɔ̃a, viawo, nɔvia ŋutsu alo nɔvia nyɔnu. Ɛ̃, le nyateƒe me, ele nɛ be wòalɔ̃m wu eya ŋutɔ ƒe agbe gɔ̃ hã. Ne menye nenema o la, mate ŋu anye nye nusrɔ̃la o.
If any [man] cometh to me, and hateth not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
27 Ame si matsɔ eƒe atitsoga akplɔm ɖo o la mate ŋu anye nye nusrɔ̃la o.
And whoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
28 “Ne ame aɖe be yeanɔ yonyeme la, ele be wòabu eŋuti kpɔ nyuie hafi. Ame kae aɖo be yeatu xɔ ke mawɔ akɔnta tso ga home si wòagblẽ la ŋu, eye wòakpɔe ɖa be ga si le ye si la ade xɔa tutu nu o mahã?
For which of you intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he hath [sufficient] to finish [it]?
29 Ne mewɔ nenema o, wòɖo xɔa ƒe gɔmeɖokpewo anyi, eye mete ŋu tui wu enu o la, ame siwo katã kpɔe la ade asi fewuɖuɖu le eŋu me.
Lest perhaps after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish [it], all that behold [it] begin to mock him,
30 Woaɖu fewu hã le eŋu be, ‘Mikpɔ ame ma ɖa! Eyae dze xɔ ma tutu gɔme, gake mete ŋu wu enu hafi ga vɔ le esi o.’
Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
31 “Alo fia kae atso kpla ko ayi aʋa, ke mayɔ eƒe aɖaŋudelawo be woawɔ akɔnta le futɔwo ƒe agbɔsɔsɔ ŋu, akpɔe ɖa be yeƒe asrafo akpe ewo ate ŋu aɖu futɔwo tɔ akpe blaeve dzi hã o?
Or what king going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
32 Nenye be wòkpɔe be yeƒe asrafowo mate ŋu aɖu dzi o la, adɔ ame ɖo ɖe futɔwo gbɔ be yeawɔ ŋutifafa kple wo hafi woava ɖo eƒe du gbɔ.
Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an embassy, and desireth conditions of peace.
33 Ale ame aɖeke mate ŋu anye nye nusrɔ̃la o, negbe ɖe wònɔ anyi gbã, bu eƒe kesinɔnuwo katã ŋu, eye wògbe nu le wo gbɔ ɖe tanye hafi!
So likewise, whoever he is of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
34 “Dze la, nu vevi ye, ke ne dze bu eƒe vivi la, ŋudɔwɔnu kae wòganye?
Salt [is] good: but if the salt hath lost its savor, with what shall it be seasoned?
35 Menyo na anyigba alo na aɖukpo dzi hã o; ɖeko woatsɔe aƒu gbe. “Ame si to senu li na la nesee.”
It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill, [but] men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
