< Yosua 15 >
1 Anyigba si wotsɔ na Yuda ƒe viwo la ƒe anyigbemeliƒo dze egɔme tso Edom ƒe dzigbemeliƒo dzi, tso Zin gbegbe la, eye wòtɔ Negeb ƒe dzieheliƒo.
Now the part of the land marked out for the children of Judah by families, went up to the edge of Edom, as far as the waste land of Zin to the south, to the farthest point of it on the south.
2 Dzieheliƒo sia tso Dzeƒu alo Ƒukuku la to le anyigbeme
Their south limit was from the farthest part of the Salt Sea, from the inlet looking to the south:
3 ɖo ta dziehe tso Akrabim to dzi mɔ la gbɔ heyi Zin. Eɖo ta dziehe to Kades Barnea, to Hezron heyi Adar, trɔ ɖo ta Karka,
From there it goes south of the slope up to Akrabbim, and on to Zin, then south past Kadesh-barnea, and on by Hezron and up to Addar, turning in the direction of Karka:
4 eye wòyi Azmon. Eto tɔʋu si le Egipte ƒe liƒo dzi la ŋu heyi ɖatɔ Domeƒu la. Esia nye Yuda ƒe anyigbemeliƒo.
Then on to Azmon, ending at the stream of Egypt: and the end of the limit is at the sea; this will be your limit on the south.
5 Ɣedzeƒeliƒo la tso Dzeƒu la ŋu yi Yɔdan tɔsisi la nu. Anyigbemeliƒo la dze egɔme tso afi si Yɔdan tɔsisi la de nu Dzeƒu la me le,
And the east limit is the Salt Sea as far as the end of Jordan. And the limit of the north part of the land is from the inlet of the sea at the end of Jordan:
6 hetso eme yi Bet Hogla, Bet Araba ƒe anyiehe yi Bohan, Ruben ƒe vi ƒe kpe la gbɔ.
Then the line goes up to Beth-hoglah, past the north of Beth-arabah, and up to the stone of Bohan, the son of Reuben;
7 Tso afi ma la, liƒo la to Akɔr ƒe balime yi Debir, eye wòtrɔ yi anyiehe kple ɣetoɖoƒe dome ɖo ta Gilgal le Adumim towo ƒe akpa kemɛ dzi, le balime la ƒe dziehe lɔƒo. Egayi En Semes ƒe tsi dzidziwo gbɔ heyi En Rogel.
Then the line goes up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so to the north, in the direction of Gilgal, which is opposite the slope up to Adummim, on the south side of the river: and the line goes on to the waters of En-shemesh, ending at En-rogel:
8 Liƒo la to Ben Hinom ƒe Balime azɔ, to Yebus, afi si wotso Yerusalem ɖo ƒe dziehe lɔƒo, to ɣetoɖoƒe yi toawo dzi le Ben Hinom ƒe Balime tame heyi ɖase ɖe Refaim ƒe balime ƒe seƒe le dzigbeme.
Then the line goes up by the valley of the son of Hinnom to the south side of the Jebusite (which is Jerusalem): then up to the top of the mountain in front of the valley of Hinnom to the west, which is at the farthest point of the valley of Rephaim on the north:
9 Egatso to la tame heyi Nef to la ƒe tsi dzidziwo gbɔ heyi du siwo le Efrɔn to dzi la gbɔ hafi trɔ ɖo ta dzigbeme, ƒo xlã Baala (si wogayɔna be Kiriat Yearim)
And the limit is marked out from the top of the mountain to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and out to the towns of Mount Ephron, as far as Baalah (which is Kiriath-jearim):
10 ɖo ta Edom ƒe to Seir gbɔ, yi Yearim to alo Kesalon ƒe dzigbeme, yi Bet Semes heto Timna ŋu.
Then turning west, the line goes from Baalah to Mount Seir, and on to the side of Mount Jearim (which is Chesalon) on the north, then down to Beth-shemesh, and on past Timnah:
11 Liƒo la yi togbɛ siwo le Ekron ƒe dzigbeme la gbɔ, trɔ ɖo ta Sikeron to, Baala to la ŋu, yi Yabneel hewu nu ɖe Domeƒu la to.
And out to the side of Ekron to the north: then it is marked out to Shikkeron and on to Mount Baalah, ending at Jabneel; the end of the line is at the sea.
12 Ke ɣetoɖoƒeliƒo enye ƒu gã la kple eŋu nyigbawo. Esia nye Yudaviwo ƒe liƒo godoo va kpe le woƒe ƒomeawo nu.
And the limit on the west is the edge of the Great Sea. This is the line going round the land marked out for the children of Judah, by their families.
13 Yehowa gblɔ na Yosua be wòatsɔ Yuda ƒe anyigba ƒe akpa aɖe na Kaleb, Yefune ƒe vi la. Ale wotsɔ Arba du si wogayɔna be Hebron, du si wotsɔ Anak fofo ƒe ŋkɔ na la na Kaleb.
And to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, he gave a part among the children of Judah, as the Lord had given orders to Joshua, that is, Kiriath-arba, named after Arba, the father of Anak which is Hebron.
14 Esia ta Kaleb nya Anak ƒe vi etɔ̃awo, Talmai, Sesai kple Ahiman ƒe dzidzimeviwo le anyigba la dzi,
And the three sons of Anak, Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai, the children of Anak, were forced out from there by Caleb.
15 eye wòwɔ aʋa kple ame siwo nɔ Debir, du si woyɔna tsã be Kiriat Sefer la me.
From there he went up against the people of Debir: (now the name of Debir before that was Kiriath-sepher.)
16 Kaleb gblɔ be yeatsɔ ye vinyɔnu Aksa na ŋutsu si awɔ aʋa aɖu Kiriat Sefer dua dzi.
And Caleb said, I will give Achsah, my daughter, as wife to the man who overcomes Kiriath-sepher and takes it.
17 Otniel, Kenaz ƒe vi, ame si nye Kaleb ƒe tɔɖiyɔvi la, ɖu dua dzi, ale Kaleb tsɔ via nyɔnu Aksa na Otniel wozu srɔ̃a.
And Othniel, the son of Kenaz, Caleb's brother, took it: so he gave him his daughter Achsah for his wife.
18 Esi Otniel kple Ahsa dze mɔ yina woƒe nɔƒe la, Ahsa gblɔ na Otniel be yeabia anyigba ye fofo kpe ɖe esi wòna ye xoxo la ŋu. Ale wòɖi le eƒe tedzi dzi be yeaƒo nu kple ye fofo, Kaleb, tso eŋuti. Kaleb biae be, “Nu kae hiã wò?”
Now when she came to him, he put into her mind the idea of requesting a field from her father: and she got down from her ass; and Caleb said to her, What is it?
19 Axsa ɖo eŋu be, “Na nu bubu aɖem, elabena anyigba si nènam la nye gbegbe sɔŋ! Na teƒe si tsi le lam.” Ale Kaleb tsɔ tsivudo si le to dzi kple balime la nɛ.
And she said, Give me a blessing; because you have put me in dry south-land, now give me springs of water. So he gave her the higher spring and the lower spring.
20 Esiae nye anyigba si wona Yuda ƒe viwo.
This is the heritage of the tribe of Judah, by their families.
21 Woƒe du siwo nɔ Edom le Negeb ƒe liƒowo dzi woe nye: Kabzeel, Eder, Yagur,
The farthest towns of the tribe of Judah in the direction of the limits of Edom to the south, were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur;
And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah;
And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan;
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth;
25 Hazor Hadata, Keriot Hezron (si nye Hazor),
And Hazor-hadattah, and Kerioth-hezron (which is Hazor);
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah;
27 Hazar Gada, Hesmon, Bet Pelet,
And Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet;
28 Hazar Sual, Beerseba, Biziotia,
And Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Biziothiah;
Baalah, and Iim, and Ezem;
30 Eltolad, Kesil, Horma,
And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah;
31 Ziklag, Madmana, Sansana,
And Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah;
32 Lebaot, Silhin, Ain kple Rimon. Du siawo katã de blaeve-vɔ-asiekɛ kple kɔƒe siwo ƒo xlã wo.
And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the towns are twenty-nine, with their unwalled places.
33 Du siwo wotsɔ na Yuda ƒe viwo le gbadzaƒe la woe nye: Estaol, Zora, Asna,
In the lowland, Eshtaol, and Zorah, and Ashnah;
34 Zanoa, En Ganim, Tapua, Enam,
And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;
35 Yarmut, Adulam, Soko Azeka,
Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;
36 Saaraim, Aditaim, Gedera (alo Gederotaim). Du siawo nye du wuiene kple kɔƒe siwo ƒo xlã wo.
And Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen towns with their unwalled places.
37 Wogatsɔ du wuiade kple woƒe kɔƒewo na Yuda ƒe viwo. Du siawoe nye: Zenan, Hadasa, Migdal Gag,
Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad;
38 Dilean, Mizpeh, Yɔkteel,
And Dilan, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel;
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon;
40 Kabon, Lahmas, Kitlis,
And Cabbon, and Lahmas, and Chithlish;
41 Gederot, Bet Dagon, Naama, Makeda,
And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen towns with their unwalled places.
Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan;
And Iphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib;
44 Keila, Akzib kple Maresa. Du siawo le asiekɛ kple wo ŋu kɔƒeduwo.
And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine towns with their unwalled places.
45 Ekron ƒe du kple eŋukɔƒewo katã hã nɔ Yudatɔwo ƒe anyigba la me.
Ekron, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places;
46 Liƒo la gatso Ekron yi ɖatɔ Domeƒu la, eye du kple kɔƒe siwo te ɖe Asdod ƒe liƒo ŋu la hã le anyigba la me kpe ɖe Asdod du la kple eƒe kɔƒewo,
From Ekron to the sea, all the towns by the side of Ashdod, with their unwalled places.
47 Gaza kple eƒe kɔƒewo, heyi keke Egipte ƒe tɔʋu la kple Domeƒu la ƒe ƒuta, tso Egipte tɔʋu la nu le anyigbeme yi Tiro le dzigbeme ŋu.
Ashdod, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places; Gaza, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places, to the stream of Egypt, with the Great Sea as a limit.
48 Wogatsɔ du blaene-vɔ-ene siawo kple wo ŋu kɔƒewo le tonyigba la dzi hã na Yuda ƒe viwo: Samir, Yatir, Soko,
And in the hill-country, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh;
49 Dana, Kiriat Sana (si nye Debir),
And Dannah, and Kiriath-sannah (which is Debir);
And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim;
And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven towns with their unwalled places.
Arab, and Dumah, and Eshan;
53 Yanim, Bet Tapua, Afeka,
And Janim, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah;
54 Humta, Kiriat Arba (alo Hebron) kple Zior. Dus siawo le asieke kple woƒe kɔƒeduwo.
And Humtah, and Kiriath-arba (which is Hebron), and Zior; nine towns with their unwalled places.
55 Maon, Karmel, Zif, Yuta,
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Jutah;
56 Yezreel, Yokdeam, Zanoah,
And Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah;
57 Kain, Gibea kple Timna. Du siawo le ewo kple woƒe kɔƒeduwo.
Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten towns with their unwalled places.
58 Halhul, Bet Zur, Gedor,
Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor;
59 Maarat, Bet Anot, Eltekon. Du siawo le ade kple woƒe kɔƒeduwo.
And Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six towns with their unwalled places.
60 Kiriat Baal (si wogayɔna hã be Kiriat Yearim) kple Raba. Du siawo le eve kple woƒe kɔƒeduwo.
Kiriath-baal (which is Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah; two towns with their unwalled places.
61 Bet Araba, Midin, Sekaka,
In the waste land, Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah;
62 Nibsan, Dzedu la kple En Gedi. Du ade kple woƒe kɔƒeduwo.
And Nibshan, and the Town of Salt, and En-gedi; six towns with their unwalled places.
63 Yuda ƒe viwo mete ŋu nya Yebusitɔwo, ame siwo nɔ Yerusalem la ɖa o, eya ta Yebusitɔwo gale afi ma, le Yuda ƒe viwo dome va se ɖe egbe.
And as for the Jebusites living in Jerusalem, the children of Judah were unable to make them go out; but the Jebusites are living with the children of Judah at Jerusalem, to this day.
