< Hezekiel 7 >

1 Yehowa ƒe gbe va nam be,
And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
2 “Ame vi, aleae Aƒetɔ Yehowa gblɔ na Israel ƒe anyigba: “‘Nuwuwu la! Nuwuwu la ɖo eɖo xexea me ƒe dzogoe eneawo dzi!
Thou therefore O son of man. Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, To the so of Israel, there is an end, - The end hath come upon the four skirts of the land.
3 Nuwuwu la va mia dzi azɔ, eye mana nye dɔmedzoe nabi ɖe mia ŋu. Madrɔ̃ ʋɔnu mi ɖe miaƒe nɔnɔme ŋu, eye mahe to na mi katã ɖe miaƒe ŋunyɔnuwɔnawo ta.
Now is the end upon thee, Therefore will I send mine anger against thee, And judge thee according to thy ways, - And lay upon thee all thine abominations;
4 Nyemakpɔ nublanui na mi loo alo ana miakpɔ ɖeɖe o. “‘Ekema mianya be, nyee nye Yehowa.’
And mine eye shall not shield thee. Neither will I pity, —. For thy ways—upon thee, will I lay. And thine abominations in thy midst, shall be found, So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.
5 “Aƒetɔ Yehowa gblɔ be, “‘Dzɔgbevɔ̃e! Dzɔgbevɔ̃e si tɔgbi ƒe nya womese kpɔ o la! Kpɔ ɖa, eva ɖo.
Thus saith My Lord Yahweh: A calamity, a sole calamity, lo! it hath come.
6 Nuwuwu la va ɖo. Nuwuwu la va ɖo. Efɔ eɖokui ɖe ŋutiwò. Kpɔ ɖa, eva ɖo!
An end hath come, Come hath the end It hath roused itself up against thee, — Lo! it hath come.
7 Tsɔtsrɔ̃ va mia dzi mi anyigbadzinɔlawo dzi. Ɣeyiɣi la de, ŋkeke la tu aƒe. Nuxaxa le toawo dzi, dzidzɔ aɖeke meli o.
The circle hath come round unto thee. O inhabitant of the land, - The time, hath come, The day of consternation, hath drawn near. And not the joyful shout of the mountains.
8 Esusɔ vie matrɔ nye dziku akɔ ɖe mia dzi, eye magblẽ nye dɔmedzoe ɖe mia ŋu. Madrɔ̃ ʋɔnu mi ɖe miaƒe nɔnɔme ŋu, eye mahe to na mi ɖe miaƒe ŋukpenanuwo katã ta.
Now shortly, will I pour out mine indignation upon thee, And will bring to an end mine anger against thee, And will judge thee according to thy ways, - And will lay upon thee all thine abominations.
9 Nyemakpɔ nublanui na mi alo aɖe mi o. Mahe to na mi ɖe miaƒe nɔnɔme ŋu kple ɖe miaƒe ŋukpenanu siwo le edzi yim le mia dome la ta. “‘Ekema mianya be nye, Yehowae tu nu kpli mi.
And mine eye shall not shield thee Neither will I have pity, — According to thy ways, unto thee will I render, And thine abominations, in thy midst shall be found, So shall ye know that I, Yahweh am smiting.
10 “‘Kpɔ ɖa, ŋkeke la! Kpɔ ɖa, eva ɖo! Dzɔgbevɔ̃e do, ameƒoti do lotoo, eye dada ƒo se.
Lo! the day, Lo! it hath come, The circle, hath gone forth, The sceptre, hath blossomed, Insolence hath sprouted:
11 Ŋutasesẽ tsi zu ameƒoti hena tohehe na ame vɔ̃ɖiwo. Womagblẽ ame aɖeke ɖi o; womagblẽ ameha ma me nɔla aɖeke, kesinɔnu aɖeke alo nu xɔasi aɖeke ɖi o.
Violence hath risen up as a sceptre of lawlessness, —There are none of them And none of their multitude And none of their throngs And no lamentation over them.
12 Ɣeyiɣi de, ŋkeke la va ɖo. Nudzrala megatso aseye, eye nuƒlela megafa konyi o, elabena dɔmedzoe dze ɖe ameha la katã dzi.
The time hath come. The day hath arrived, The buyer, let him not rejoice, and The seller, let him not mourn, — For indignation, is against all her multitude.
For the seller, unto that which is to be sold, shall not return, though yet among the living, were their life, for the vision is against all her multitude. He shall not return, And, no man, by his punishment, shall strengthen, his life.
14 “‘Togbɔ be woaku kpẽ, eye woawɔ nu sia nu wòasɔ gbe gɔ̃ hã la, ame aɖeke mayi aʋa o, elabena nye dɔmedzoe bi ɖe ameha la kã.
They have blown the trumpet, even to make All ready, Yet is there none going to the battle; For mine indignation is against all her multitude.
15 Yi le gota, eye dɔvɔ̃ kple dɔwuame le aƒe me. Yi awu ame siwo le gbedzi, eye ame siwo le du me la, dɔwuame kple dɔvɔ̃ atsrɔ̃ wo.
The sword without, and Pestilence and famine within, — He that is in the field by the sword, shall die, and He that is in the city famine or pestilence shall devour him;
16 Ame siwo katã atsi agbe, eye woasi la, woayi toawo dzi, anɔ konyi fam abe ahɔnɛ siwo le baliwo me ene, ɖe sia ɖe ɖe eƒe nu vɔ̃wo ta.
While they who escape of them shall escape and become on the mountains as the doves of the valleys, all of them cooing, —each one in his punishment.
17 Alɔ ɖe sia ɖe ado agblɔ, eye klo ɖe sia ɖe agbɔdzɔ abe tsi ene.
All hands shall be unnerved; and All knees shall be weak as water,
18 Woatsyɔ konyifavɔ, eye woado ŋɔdzi abe awu ene, ŋukpe anɔ mo na wo, eye woalũ ta na wo.
Therefore shall they gird themselves with sackcloth, And shuddering shall cover them, -And in all faces, shall be paleness, And in all their heads, baldness.
Womatsɔe atsi woƒe dɔwuame nu o, eye womatsɔe aɖi ƒoe na wo o, elabena ena wodze nu vɔ̃ me.
Their silver into the streets, shall they cast and Their gold for throwing away, shall serve, Their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Yahweh, Their craving, shall they not satisfy, and Their belly, shall they not fill, For a stumbling-block, hath their iniquity become.
20 Wodana ɖe woƒe lekewɔnu dzeaniwo dzi, eye wotsɔ wo wɔ woƒe legba nyɔŋuwo kple aklamakpakpɛ vlowo. Eya ta matrɔ nu siawo woazu nu makɔmakɔwo na wo.
When, the beauty of his own ornament, he had, in majesty, placed, Then, the images, of their abominations Their detestable things, Made they therein, — For this cause have I delivered it up to them for removal;
21 Mana wo katã nazu afunyinu na amedzrowo kple nuhaha na ŋutaselã siwo le anyigba dzi, eye woagblẽ kɔ ɖo na wo.
Yea I will deliver it Into the hand of foreigners for a prey, And to the lawless ones of the earth for a spoil, And they will profane it;
22 Matrɔ mo ɖe adzɔge tso wo gbɔ, eye woagblẽ kɔ ɖo na nye teƒe vevi la. Adzodalawo age ɖe eme, eye woagblẽ kɔ ɖo nɛ.
And I will turn away my face from them, And they will profane my cherished place, —Yea there will enter it violent men Who will profane it.
23 “‘Miwɔ kɔsɔkɔsɔwo da ɖi, elabena ʋukɔkɔɖi bɔ ɖe anyigba la dzi, eye ŋutasesẽ yɔ dua me.
Prepare thou a chain, — For, the land, is full of the crime of bloodshed, And, the city, is full of violence.
24 Makplɔ dukɔ vɔ̃ɖitɔwo vɛ be woava xɔ woƒe aƒewo, matsi ŋusẽtɔwo ƒe dada nu, eye woagblẽ kɔ ɖo na woƒe Kɔkɔeƒewo.
So then I will bring in the wicked ones of the nations, And they shall take possession of their houses, —And I will cause to cease the pomp of the strong ones, And their holy places shall be profaned.
25 Ne ŋɔdzi do la, woadi ŋutifafa, gake manɔ anyi o.
Destruction, hath entered, - And they shall seek welfare and there be none.
26 Dzɔgbevɔ̃e akplɔ dzɔgbevɔ̃e ɖo, eye ŋɔdzinya adze ŋɔdzinya yome. Ana woadze agbagba be yewoaxɔ ɖeɖefia tso nyagblɔɖilawo gbɔ, nunɔlawo ƒe sewo fiafia kple ametsitsiwo ƒe nufiame maganɔ anyi o.
Disaster upon disaster, shall come, And report after report shall arise, Therefore shall they seek a vision from prophet, And law shall perish from priest. And counsel from elders.
Matu nu kpli wo le woƒe nɔnɔme nu, eye madrɔ̃ ʋɔnu wo ɖe woawo ŋutɔ ƒe gɔmesese nu. “‘Ekema woanya be nyee nye Yehowa.’”
The king, shall mourn and, The chief, shall clothe himself with astonishment, and, the hands of the people of the land, shall be wrung in anguish, — After their own way, will I deal with them and, With their own sentences, will I sentence them, And they shall know that, I, am Yahweh.
