< Yohanes 3 1 >
1 Nye, hamemegã tsitsitɔ gbɔe agbalẽ sia tso, Na xɔ̃nye lɔlɔ̃tɔ Gayo, ame si melɔ̃na le nyateƒe me.
The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
2 Xɔ̃nye lɔlɔ̃a, medo gbe ɖa be nànɔ lãmesesẽ me, eye nu sia nu nadze edzi na wò nyuie abe ale si wò luʋɔ gɔ̃ hã le dedie ene.
Beloved, I pray that in all respects yoʋ may prosper and be in good health, even as yoʋr soul prospers.
3 Mekpɔ dzidzɔ ŋutɔ esi nɔvi aɖewo va ƒo nu tso ale si nèlé nyateƒea me ɖe asi goŋgoŋ, eye nèle agbe nɔm le nyateƒe la nu la ŋu.
For I was overjoyed when the brothers came and testified about yoʋr faithfulness to the truth and how yoʋ walk in the truth.
4 Naneke medoa dzidzɔ nam wu be mase be vinyewo le agbe nɔm ɖe nyateƒe la nu o.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
5 Xɔ̃nye lɔlɔ̃a, èle nuteƒe wɔm le nu siwo nèle wɔwɔm na nɔviawo la me, togbɔ be wonye amedzrowo na wò hã.
Beloved, yoʋ are acting faithfully in whatever yoʋ do for the brothers and for those who are strangers to you.
6 Woɖi ɖase na hamea katã tso wò lɔlɔ̃ si nèɖe fia wo la ŋu. Anyo be nàdo mɔ wo le mɔ nyuitɔ si dze Mawu ŋu la nu,
They have testified of yoʋr love before the church, and yoʋ will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God.
7 elabena ŋkɔ la tae wodze mɔ hele tsatsam, eye womexɔ kpekpeɖeŋu aɖeke tso trɔ̃subɔlawo gbɔ o ɖo.
For they went out for the sake of the Name, receiving nothing from the Gentiles.
8 Le esia ta la, ehiã be miawɔ dɔmenyo na ame sia tɔgbiwo, ale be mí katã míawɔ dɔ ado nyateƒe la ɖe ŋgɔ.
Therefore we ought to receive men like them, so that we may be fellow workers for the truth.
9 Meŋlɔ agbalẽ ɖo ɖe hamea, gake Diotrefo si tsɔ eɖokui wɔ ŋgɔgbenɔlae la meɖo to nye nyawo o.
I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to put himself first, does not acknowledge us.
10 Eya ta ne meva la, maɖe nu siwo katã wɔm wòle la ɖe go, vevietɔ ale si wòle mía ŋu gblẽm la ta. Hekpe ɖe esia ŋu la, eɖea ame siwo dina be yewoaxɔ nɔviawo la le hame.
So if I come, I will call attention to what he is doing and the evil accusations of nonsense that he is making against us. And he is not satisfied with that! He not only refuses to receive the brothers, but also stops those who want to do so and throws them out of the church.
11 Xɔ̃nye lɔlɔ̃tɔ, megakpɔ nu vloe wɔwɔ ƒe kpɔɖeŋu nàwɔ o, ke boŋ srɔ̃ nu nyui wɔwɔ. Ame sia ame si wɔ nu nyui la tso Mawu gbɔ. Ame si wɔa nu vɔ̃ la menya Mawu o.
Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. Whoever does good is of God; whoever does evil has not seen God.
12 Ame sia ame ƒoa nu nyui le Demetrio ŋu. Nyateƒea ŋutɔ hã gblɔa eƒe nya nyui. Míawo hã míeɖi ɖase nyui le eŋu, eye wò ŋutɔ enyae be míaƒe ɖaseɖiɖi nye nyateƒe.
Demetrius is well spoken of by everyone—and even by the truth itself. We also speak well of him, and you know that our testimony is true.
13 Nya geɖe le asinye be maŋlɔ na wò, gake nyemedi be maŋlɔe kple nuŋlɔti kple nuŋlɔtsi ɖeɖe ko o.
I have much to write, but I do not want to write to yoʋ with pen and ink.
14 Mele mɔ kpɔm be míado go kpuie, eye míaƒo nu ŋkume kple ŋkume. Ŋutifafa nanɔ anyi kpli wò. Nɔvi siwo katã le afi sia la do gbe na wò nyuie. Do gbe na nɔvi siwo le gbɔwò la na mí ɖekaɖeka.
I hope to see yoʋ soon, and we will speak face to face. Peace be with yoʋ. The friends greet yoʋ. Greet the friends by name.
