And we ask you, brethren, in regard to the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of our gathering together unto him,
2 migana woatɔtɔ miaƒe susuwo bɔbɔe alo ado dzikatsoameƒo na mi kple nyagblɔɖiwo, nutsotsowo alo kple agbalẽ aɖe si wogblɔ be etso mía gbɔ hele gbɔgblɔm be Aƒetɔ la ƒe vavagbe la va yi xoxo o.
that ye be not quickly shaken in mind, nor be troubled, neither through spirit, neither through word, neither through letters as through us, as that the day of Christ hath arrived;
3 Migana woatɔtɔ miaƒe susuwo, eye woable mi o; migaxɔ nu sia nu si wogblɔ la dzi se o, elabena ŋkeke ma mava o, va se ɖe esime aglãdzedze ava eye woaɖe ame sedzimawɔla la ɖe go, ame si woɖo ɖi na tsɔtsrɔ̃.
let not any one deceive you in any manner, because — if the falling away may not come first, and the man of sin be revealed — the son of the destruction,
4 Atsi tsitre ɖe mawu bubuwo ŋu, eye ayi aɖagbã nu siwo katã amewo subɔna la kple afi si wosubɔa wo le la gudugudu. Ayi aɖanɔ Mawu ƒe gbedoxɔ me abe Mawu ene, eye wòable amewo be yee nye Mawu.
who is opposing and is raising himself up above all called God or worshipped, so that he in the sanctuary of God as God hath sat down, shewing himself off that he is God — [the day doth not come].
5 Mieɖo ŋku edzi be megblɔ nya siawo na mi esi menɔ mia gbɔ oa?
Do ye not remember that, being yet with you, these things I said to you?
6 Eye mienya nu si le mɔ xem na eƒe afi sia vava xoxo, elabena ne eƒe ɣeyiɣi mede o la, mava o.
and now, what is keeping down ye have known, for his being revealed in his own time,
7 Ke nu si ŋutsu aglãdzela sia awɔ ne eva la le edzi yim xoxo le bebeme, gake eya ŋutɔ mava o va se ɖe esime ame si le mɔ xem nɛ la do ɖa le mɔ me nɛ hafi.
for the secret of the lawlessness doth already work, only he who is keeping down now [will hinder] — till he may be out of the way,
8 Ekema ŋutsu vɔ̃ɖi sia ava do, eye Aƒetɔ Yesu atsɔ eƒe ya si wògbɔna to eƒe nu me la afiae, eye ne etrɔ va la, atsrɔ̃ ŋutsu sia ɖa le anyigba dzi.
and then shall be revealed the Lawless One, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the manifestation of his presence,
9 Ŋutsu nu vɔ̃ wɔla sia ava kple Satana ƒe ŋusẽ eye Satana awɔ eŋu dɔ atsɔ wɔ dzesi kple nukunu gã geɖewo, atsɔ aflu amewoe.
[him, ] whose presence is according to the working of the Adversary, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders,
10 Atsɔ madzɔmadzɔnyenye able ame siwo katã yina ɖe dzomavɔ la me, elabena wogbe nyateƒe la xɔxɔ, alɔ̃e be wòaɖe wo o,
and in all deceitfulness of the unrighteousness in those perishing, because the love of the truth they did not receive for their being saved,
11 eya ta Mawu ɖe mɔ na wo be woaxɔ alakpa siawo katã dzi ase kple woƒe dzi blibo,
and because of this shall God send to them a working of delusion, for their believing the lie,
12 eye woadrɔ̃ ʋɔnu wo katã pɛpɛpɛ be woxɔ alakpa dzi se, wogbe nu le nyateƒe la gbɔ, eye wokpɔ dzidzɔ le woƒe nu vɔ̃wo me.
that they may be judged — all who did not believe the truth, but were well pleased in the unrighteousness.
13 Ke ele be míada akpe na Mawu ɖaa ɖe mia ta, mi mía nɔvi siwo Aƒetɔ la lɔ̃, elabena Mawu ɖoe tso blema ke be yeana miakpɔ ɖeɖe, aklɔ mia ŋuti to Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la ƒe dɔwɔwɔ kple miaƒe nyateƒe la dzi xɔxɔ se me.
And we — we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved by the Lord, that God did choose you from the beginning to salvation, in sanctification of the Spirit, and belief of the truth,
14 Mawu gblɔ nyanyui la na mi to mía dzi, eye to mía dzi wòyɔ mi be miakpɔ gome le míaƒe Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe la me.
to which He did call you through our good news, to the acquiring of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ;
15 Nɔvi lɔlɔ̃awo, nu siawo katã le susu me na mi, eya ta minɔ te sesĩe, eye mialé nyateƒe la me ɖe asi sesĩe, nyateƒe siwo míefia mi, esi míenɔ mia gbɔ kple esiwo míeŋlɔ ɖo ɖe mi le míaƒe agbalẽwo me na mi.
so, then, brethren, stand ye fast, and hold the deliverances that ye were taught, whether through word, whether through our letter;
16 Míaƒe Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo ŋutɔ kple Mawu mía Fofo, ame si lɔ̃ mí, eye to eƒe amenuveve me la, wòna dzideƒo mavɔ kple mɔkpɔkpɔ nyui mí la (aiōnios )
and may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God and Father, who did love us, and did give comfort age-during, and good hope in grace, (aiōnios )
17 nade dzi ƒo na mi, eye wòado ŋusẽ mi le dɔ nyui ɖe sia ɖe wɔwɔ kple nyanyui la gbɔgblɔ me.
comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.
