< Korintotɔwo 2 7 >
1 Ke azɔ nɔvinye lɔlɔ̃tɔwo, esi Mawu do ŋugbe gã siawo na mí ta la, mina míadzudzɔ nu gbegblẽ wɔwɔ, eye míate ɖa xaa tso nu siwo ƒoa ɖi míaƒe ŋutilã kple gbɔgbɔ la gbɔ, eye míanɔ agbe kɔkɔewo to Aƒetɔ la vɔvɔ̃ me, alé eƒe nyawo me ɖe asi sesĩe.
These therefore having promises, beloved, we may cleanse ourselves from every defilement of flesh and spirit perfecting holiness in [the] fear of God.
2 Le míaƒe dɔwɔwɔ me kpli mi la, míekplɔ ame aɖeke to mɔtatra aɖeke dzi o, míeba ame aɖeke alo gblẽ ame aɖeke ƒe naneke o, eya ta miʋu miaƒe dziwo ƒe ʋɔtruwo ne miaxɔ mí ɖe wo me.
do make room for us; no [one] we have wronged, no [one] we have corrupted, no [one] we have exploited.
3 Nyemele esiawo gblɔm be matsɔ fɔbubu aɖeke ada ɖe mia dzi o, elabena megblɔ va yi xoxo be mena teƒe mi le nye dzi me tegbee be manɔ agbe kpli mi, eye maku hã kpli mi.
For condemnation not I speak; I have before said for that in the hearts of us you are for [us] to die together and to live together.
Great [is] my boldness toward you, great my boasting on behalf of you; I have been filled with encouragement, I overabound with joy upon all the affliction of us.
5 Míekpɔ ŋutifafa aɖeke esi míeva ɖo Makedonia o, fukpekpewo sɔŋ koe ƒo xlã mí. Amewo do dzre na mí to mɔ ɖe sia ɖe dzi, eye vɔvɔ̃ kple ŋɔdzi yɔ mía me fũu ŋutɔ.
And for when were coming we into Macedonia none (did have *NK(o)*) rest the flesh of us but in every [way] we are being pressed: outside conflicts, within fears.
6 Ke Mawu, ame si ŋutɔ dea dzi ƒo na ame siwo ƒo dzi ɖe le la de dzi ƒo na míawo hã esi Tito va ɖo mía gbɔ.
But the [One] comforting the downcast comforted us God by the coming of Titus;
7 Menye esi wòva ɖo mía gbɔ dedie la ɖeɖe koe na be míekpɔ dzidzɔ o, ke boŋ nya siwo keŋ wògagblɔ nam tso mia ŋuti tae; ale si miexɔe nyuie, ale si wònye miaƒe didi be yewoakpɔm, eye ale si wòve mi ŋutɔ be mele fu geɖe kpem kple ale si miele klalo be yewoalé nu siwo mefia mi la ko me ɖe asi la na megli kple dzidzɔ.
not only now by the coming of him, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted as to you relating to us your earnest desire, your mourning, your zeal for me, so as for me [the] more to rejoice.
8 Fifia la, megavem be meŋlɔ agbalẽ sesẽ ma ɖo ɖe mi o, togbɔ be mexa nu geɖe le eŋu le gɔmedzedzea me hã la, menya be miawo hã miexa nu ɣeyiɣi kpui aɖe ko.
For if even I have grieved you in the letter, not I do regret [it]; If even I was regreting [it], I see indeed that the letter that if even for an hour grieved you,
9 Azɔ la, mekpɔ dzidzɔ manyagblɔ aɖe be meɖo agbalẽ ma ɖe mi. Nyemele dzidzɔ kpɔm be miexa nu o, ke boŋ be agbalẽ la na miedzudzɔ agbe vlowo nɔnɔ, eye mieva Aƒetɔ la gbɔ. Mawu ŋutɔe to dzinye ŋlɔ agbalẽ ma na mi be miadzudzɔ nu vɔ̃ wɔwɔ, eya ta menye míawoe na miexa nu o.
Now I rejoice, not that you were grieved, but that you were grieved unto repentance; you were grieved for according to God, so that in nothing you may suffer loss through us.
10 Elabena ɣe aɖewo ɣi la, Mawu nana míexaa nu be míadze si míaƒe nu vɔ̃wo eye míadzudzɔ nu vɔ̃ɖi wɔwɔ, eye míadi agbe mavɔ la. Ke ne ame aɖe xa nu vevie le eya ŋutɔ ƒe agbe vlo nɔnɔ ta, gake metrɔ dzi me o la, ahe ku vɛ.
The for according to God grief repentance to salvation without regret (produces, *N(k)O*) and the of the world grief death produces.
Behold for this very same [thing] according to God to have been grieved (by you *K*) how much has produced in you earnestness, but instead reasoned defense, but indignation, but fear, but longing, but zeal, but vindication? In everything you have proved yourselves innocent to be (in *k*) this matter.
12 Eya ta ɖe meŋlɔ agbalẽ la koŋ be Mawu naɖe ale si melɔ̃a mi la afia, ke menye ɖe ame si wɔ vɔ̃ sia alo ame si ŋuti wowɔ vɔ̃ sia ɖo la ta o, ke boŋ be miaƒe veviedodo nu ɖe mía ta nadze ƒãa le mia dome le Mawu ƒe ŋkume.
So if even I wrote to you, [it was] not for the sake of the [one] having done wrong (but *O*) nor for the sake of the [one] having suffered wrong, but rather for the sake of being revealed the earnestness of you which [is] for us to you before God.
13 Hekpe ɖe dzideƒo si miena mí to lɔlɔ̃ si mieɖe fia mí la ŋu la, míegakpɔ dzidzɔ geɖe hã le ale si miexɔ Tito kple nu nyui siwo katã miewɔ nɛ be eƒe dzi dze eme la ta.
On account of this we have been comforted. Besides also the comfort (of us *N(K)O*) [the] more abundantly (now *k*) rather we have rejoiced at the joy of Titus, because has been refreshed the spirit of him by all of you,
For if anything to him about you I have boasted, not I was put to shame, but as all things in truth we have spoken to you, so also the boasting of us to Titus, truth became;
15 Azɔ ne Tito hã ɖo ŋku ale si mieɖo toe le nu si wòfia mi me, ale si mieɖe lɔlɔ̃ fiae kple ale si miexɔe kple dzi blibo dzi la, enana be eya hã ƒe lɔlɔ̃ na mi gadzina ɖe edzi.
And the affections of him more abundantly toward you are remembering the of all of you obedience, how with fear and trembling you received him.
16 Ke esi menya be ɖekawɔwɔ kple lɔlɔ̃ gaɖo mía dome azɔ la, ena be nye hã mekpɔ dzidzɔ blibo, eye megaɖo ŋu ɖe mia ŋu le nu sia nu me.
I rejoice that in everything I am confident in you.
