< Timoteo 1 4 >

1 Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la gblɔe na mi kɔtɛe be le ŋkeke mamlɛawo me la, ame aɖewo le hamea me atrɔ le woƒe dzixɔse yome adze nufiala siwo ƒe susuwo me gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃wo yɔ la yome kple dzo.
Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons,
2 Nufiala siawo aɖo mo ta, ada alakpa, eye woadae enuenu ale gbegbe be woƒe dzitsinya magaɖe fu na wo gɔ̃ hã o.
influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron.
3 Woagblɔ be menyo be woaɖe srɔ̃ o, eye menyo hã be woaɖu nanewo o, evɔ wònye Mawue tsɔ nu siawo na xɔsetɔ siwo li ke, eye wonya nyateƒe la be woakpɔ dzidzɔ le wo ŋuti, eye woada akpe ɖe wo ta hafi.
They will prohibit marriage and require abstinence from certain foods that God has created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
4 Elabena nu sia nu si Mawu wɔ la nyo, eye miate ŋu aɖui kple dzidzɔ nenye be mieda akpe ɖe eta,
For every creation of God is good, and nothing that is received with thanksgiving should be rejected,
5 eye miebia tso Mawu si be wòayrae, elabena Mawu ƒe nya kple gbedodoɖa awɔe kɔkɔe.
because it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 Ne èɖe nu siawo me na ame bubuwo la, ànɔ wò dɔdeasi wɔm abe Yesu Kristo ƒe subɔla nyui si wonyi le xɔse ƒe nyawo kple nufiafia dzɔdzɔetɔ si yome nèdze la nu ene.
By pointing out these things to the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished by the words of faith and sound instruction that you have followed.
7 Megagblẽ wò ɣeyiɣi anɔ nya hem tso susu manyatanuwo kple movinyawo kple gli dzodzrowo ŋuti o. Ke boŋ zã wò ɣeyiɣiwo kple wò ŋusẽ nàtsɔ atu ɖokuiwò ɖoe le gbɔgbɔ me.
But reject irreverent, silly myths. Instead, train yourself for godliness.
8 Ame ɖokui tutuɖo le ŋutilã me nyo, gake tutuɖo le gbɔgbɔ me le vevie wu, elabena enye atike na nu sia nu si nàwɔ. Eya ta tu ɖokuiwò ɖo le gbɔgbɔ me, eye nàdze agbagba be yeanye kristotɔ nyui wu, elabena eyae ava kpe ɖe ŋuwò. Menye fifia le agbe sia me ko o, ke boŋ le agbe si ava va la me hã.
For physical exercise is of limited value, but godliness is valuable in every way, holding promise for the present life and for the one to come.
9 Esia nye nyateƒe, eye wòdze be woaxɔe ase blibo,
This is a trustworthy saying, worthy of full acceptance.
10 eye le esia ta míewɔ dɔ heʋli vevie be míatsɔ míaƒe mɔkpɔkpɔ ade Mawu gbagbe la me, ame si nye amewo katã ƒe Ɖela, vevietɔ ame siwo xɔ se.
To this end we labor and strive, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of everyone, and especially of those who believe.
11 Fia nu siawo, eye nàkpɔ egbɔ be ame sia ame srɔ̃ wo nyuie.
Command and teach these things.
12 Mègana ame aɖeke nabu wò ame gblɔe le wò ɖekakpuinyenye ta o, ke boŋ nye kpɔɖeŋu nyuitɔ na wo. Na woadze nu si nèfiana kple agbe si nènɔna la yome. Na wò lɔlɔ̃, wò xɔse kple wò susu dzadzɛwo nanye kpɔɖeŋu na wo.
Let no one despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
13 Va se ɖe esime mava mia gbɔ la, xlẽ Ŋɔŋlɔ Kɔkɔe la na hame la, eye nàɖe eme na wo; gblɔ Mawu ƒe nya la ɣe sia ɣi.
Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, and to teaching.
14 Kpɔ egbɔ be, yewɔ amenuvenunana siwo Mawu na wò to eƒe nyagblɔɖilawo dzi, esi hamemegãwo da asi ɖe dziwò la ŋu dɔ nyuie.
Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given you through the prophecy spoken over you at the laying on of the hands of the elders.
15 Wɔ nunana siawo ŋu dɔ nyuie. Tsɔ ɖokuiwò ƒo ɖe wò dɔwɔwɔwo me, ale be ame sia ame nate ŋu akpɔ wò tsitsiɖedzi kple ŋgɔgbeyiyi adze sii.
Be diligent in these matters and absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all.
16 Lé ŋku ɖe nu siwo katã nèsusuna kple nu siwo katã nèwɔna la ŋuti nyuie. Lé nu si nyo, eye wòle eteƒe la me ko ɖe asi, eye Mawu ayra wò, eye wòawɔ ŋuwòdɔ le kpekpeɖeŋunana ame bubuwo me.
Pay close attention to your life and to your teaching. Persevere in these things, for by so doing you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
