< Petro 1 4 >
1 Eya ta esi Kristo kpe fu le eƒe ŋutilã me ta la, miawo hã mitsɔ nɔnɔme ma ke bla miaƒe aliwo dzii, elabena ame si kpe fu le eƒe ŋutilã me la, klã ɖa tso nu vɔ̃ gbɔ,
Therefore, because Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same intention. For whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.
2 Le eƒe agbemeŋkeke mamlɛawo me le anyigba dzi la, menɔ agbe le ŋutilã ƒe nudzodzrowo nu o, ke boŋ ɖe Mawu ƒe lɔlɔ̃nu nu.
As a result, such a person, for the rest of his time in the flesh, no longer lives for men's desires, but for God's will.
3 Tsã la, miegblẽ ɣeyiɣi geɖe le nu siwo trɔ̃subɔlawo wɔna la me, esiwo nye ahiãwɔwɔ, nudzodzro vɔ̃wo, ahatsunono, nuɖuɖu vivivo, aglotutu vɔ̃wo kple trɔ̃subɔsubɔ ŋunyɔtɔ.
You have spent enough time doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passion, drunkenness, drunken celebrations, having wild parties, and committing disgusting acts of idolatry.
4 Ewɔ moya na wo be miedo ɖi ɖe ŋunyɔnu ƒe tɔɖɔɖɔ sia me kpli wo o, eya ta woli kɔ dzu ɖe mia dzi gleglegle.
They think it is strange that you do not join with them in these floods of reckless behavior, so they speak evil about you.
5 Ke hã la, ele na wo be woana akɔnta ame si le klalo be yeadrɔ̃ ʋɔnu agbagbeawo kple kukuawo.
They will give an account to the one who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
6 Susu sia ta wogblɔ nyanyui la na ame siwo ku va yi xoxo la hã, ale be togbɔ be le woƒe agbenɔnɔ le anyigba dzi me woto ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃ si me amegbetɔ ɖe sia ɖe tona hã la, woate ŋu ava Mawu ƒe agbe la gbɔ le gbɔgbɔ me.
For this purpose the gospel was preached also to the dead, so that, although they have been judged in the flesh as humans, they may live in the spirit the way God does.
7 Nuwo katã ƒe nuwuwu ɖo vɔ, eya ta minɔ mo xexi, eye miɖu mia ɖokui dzi, ale be miate ŋu ado gbe ɖa.
The end of all things is coming near. Therefore be of sound mind, and be sober in your thinking for the sake of prayers.
8 Ƒo nuwo katã ta la, milɔ̃ mia nɔewo vevie, elabena lɔlɔ̃ tsyɔa nu vɔ̃ ƒe agbɔsɔsɔ dzi.
Above all things, have fervent love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins.
9 Mixɔ mia nɔewo ɖe miaƒe aƒewo me liʋĩliʋĩlilĩmanɔmee.
Be hospitable to one another without complaining.
As each one of you has received a gift, use it to serve one another, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.
11 Ne ame aɖe le nu ƒom la, neƒoe abe Mawu gbɔ nyawo tso ene. Ne ame aɖe le subɔsubɔm la, newɔe kple ŋusẽ si Mawu nae la katã, ale be le nuwo katã me la, woakafu Mawu to Yesu Kristo dzi. Eya tɔe nye ŋutikɔkɔe kple ŋusẽ tso mavɔ me yi mavɔ me. Amen. (aiōn )
If anyone speaks, let it be with God's words. If anyone serves, let it be from the strength that God supplies. Do these things so that in all ways God would be glorified through Jesus Christ. May there be to Jesus Christ glory and power forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
12 Nɔvi veviwo, migana fuwɔame ƒe dodokpɔ si me tom miele la nawɔ nuku na mi abe nane si medzɔ kpɔ o lae le mia dzi vam ene o.
Beloved, do not regard as strange the testing in the fire that has happened to you, as if something strange were happening to you.
13 Ke mikpɔ dzidzɔ be mienye fukpekpe siwo me Kristo to la ƒe gomekpɔlawo, ale be miaƒe dzidzɔkpɔkpɔ nagbã go ne wòɖe eƒe Ŋutikɔkɔefia.
Instead, however much you experience the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, so that you may also rejoice and be glad at the revealing of his glory.
14 Ne wodzu mi le Kristo ƒe ŋkɔ ta la, woayra mi, elabena ŋutikɔkɔe ƒe Gbɔgbɔ si nye Mawu ƒe Gbɔgbɔ la le mia dzi.
If you are insulted for Christ's name, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and the Spirit of God is resting on you.
15 Ne miekpe fu la, migakpee abe hlɔ̃dola, fiafitɔ alo nu tovo wɔla aɖe loo, alo ame si dea nu ame bubuwo ƒe nya me la ene o.
But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or a meddler.
16 Gake ne mia dometɔ aɖe akpe fu, elabena enye kristotɔ la, ŋu megakpee o, ke boŋ neda akpe na Mawu be woyɔ ŋkɔ sia ɖe eŋu.
But if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; instead, let him glorify God with that name.
17 Elabena ɣeyiɣi de be ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃ nadze egɔme tso Mawu ƒe ƒomea me; ke ne edze gɔme tso mía dzi la, ekema aleke woahanɔ na ame siwo meɖo to Mawu ƒe nyanyui la o?
For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God. If it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey God's gospel?
18 Eye, “Nenye be bebli hafi ame dzɔdzɔe nakpɔ ɖeɖe la, ekema aleke wòanɔ na mawumavɔ̃lawo kple nu vɔ̃ wɔlawo?”
And “If it is difficult for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”
19 Eya ta ame siwo kpea fu le Mawu ƒe lɔlɔ̃nu nu la netsɔ wo ɖokuiwo de asi na wo Wɔla nuteƒetɔwɔla la, eye woayi nu nyui wɔwɔ dzi.
Therefore let those who suffer because of God's will entrust their souls to the faithful Creator in well-doing.
