Psalmaro 85
1 Al la ĥorestro. Psalmo de la Koraĥidoj. Vi korfavoris, ho Eternulo, Vian landon, Vi revenigis la forkaptitojn de Jakob;
“For the leader of the music. A psalm of the sons of Korah.” O LORD! thou hast been favorable to thy land; Thou hast brought back the captives of Jacob;
2 Vi pardonis la kulpon de Via popolo, Vi kovris ĉiujn ĝiajn pekojn. (Sela)
Thou didst forgive the iniquity of thy people, And cover all their sins! (Pause)
3 Vi retenis Vian tutan koleron, Forlasis Vian furiozon.
Thou didst take away all thy displeasure, And abate the fierceness of thy wrath.
4 Turnu Vin al ni, ho Dio de nia savo, Kaj ĉesigu Vian koleron kontraŭ ni.
Restore us, O God of our salvation! And let thine anger towards us cease!
5 Ĉu eterne Vi nin koleros, Daŭrigos Vian koleron de generacio al generacio?
Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? Wilt thou continue thy wrath from generation to generation?
6 Ĉu Vi ne revivigos nin denove, Ke Via popolo ĝoju per Vi?
Wilt thou not revive us again, That thy people may rejoice in thee?
7 Aperigu al ni, ho Eternulo, Vian favoron, Kaj Vian helpon donu al ni.
Show us thy compassion, O LORD! And grant us thy salvation!
8 Mi aŭdu, kion diras Dio, la Eternulo; Ĉar Li deklaros pacon al Sia popolo kaj al Siaj fideluloj, Ke ili ne reiru al malsaĝeco.
I will hear what God the LORD will speak: Truly he will speak peace to his people, and to his servants; Only let them not turn again to folly!
9 Jam proksima estas Lia helpo al tiuj, kiuj Lin timas, Por ke ekregu honoro en nia lando.
Yea, his salvation is near to those who fear him, That glory may dwell in our land.
10 Bono kaj vero renkontiĝas, Justeco kaj paco sin kisas.
Mercy and truth shall meet together, Righteousness and peace shall kiss each other;
11 Vero elkreskas el la tero, Kaj justeco rigardas el la ĉielo.
Truth shall spring out of the earth; Righteousness shall look down from heaven.
12 Kaj la Eternulo donos bonon, Kaj nia tero donos siajn produktojn.
Yea, Jehovah will give prosperity, And our land shall yield her increase.
13 Justeco iros antaŭ Li Kaj faros vojon por Liaj paŝoj.
Righteousness shall go before him, And set us in the way of his steps.
