Psalmaro 18
1 Al la ĥorestro. De la sklavo de la Eternulo, David, kiu eldiris al la Eternulo la vortojn de ĉi tiu kanto, kiam la Eternulo lin savis el la manoj de ĉiuj liaj malamikoj kaj el la mano de Saul. Kaj li diris: Mi varmege Vin amas, ho Eternulo, mia forteco!
To the chief Musician. Of the servant of Yahweh, of David, —who spake unto Yahweh the words of this song, —in the day when Yahweh had rescued him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul; and he said: — I will love thee, O Yahweh my strength!
2 La Eternulo estas mia Roko, kaj mia fortikaĵo, kaj mia Savanto, Mia Dio, mia forta Roko, kiun mi fidas, Mia ŝildo kaj la korno de mia savo, mia rifuĝejo.
Yahweh, was my mountain crag and my stronghold, and my deliverer: My GOD, was my rock, I sought refuge in him, My shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower.
3 Mi vokas al la Eternulo, la glorinda; Kaj mi saviĝas de miaj malamikoj.
As one worthy to be praised, called I on Yahweh, —And, from my foes, was I saved.
4 Ĉirkaŭis min la ondoj de la morto, Kaj torentoj pereigaj min teruris;
The meshes of death encompassed me, The torrents of perdition, made me afraid;
The meshes of hades, had surrounded me, The snares of death, had confronted me, (Sheol h7585)
6 En mia premiteco mi vokis la Eternulon, Kaj al mia Dio mi kriis; El Sia templo Li aŭdis mian voĉon, Kaj mia krio al Li atingis Liajn orelojn.
In my distress, called I on Yahweh, And, unto my God, made outcry for help, He heard, out of his temple, my voice, And my outcry for help came before him—entered into his ears!
7 Ektremis kaj ekskuiĝis la tero, La fundamentoj de la montoj ekmoviĝis Kaj ekŝanceliĝis, ĉar Li koleris.
Then did the earth shake and quake, Even, the foundations of the mountains, were deeply moved, Yea they did shake, because he was angry.
8 Leviĝis fumo el Lia nazo, Kaj ekstermanta fajro el Lia buŝo; Karboj ekflamis de ĝi.
There went up smoke in his nostrils, and, a fire out of his mouth, devoured, Live coals, were kindled from it:
9 Li klinis la ĉielon kaj iris malsupren; Kaj densa mallumo estis sub Liaj piedoj.
Then he stretched out the heaven, and came down, —and, thick gloom, was under his feet;
10 Kaj Li ekrajdis sur kerubo kaj ekflugis, Kaj Li portiĝis sur la flugiloj de la vento.
Then he rode on a cherub, and flew, and darted on the wings of the wind;
11 El la mallumo Li faris al Si kovron, Tendon Li faris ĉirkaŭ Si el la mallumo de la akvo, densaj nuboj.
Made darkness his hiding-place, Round about him—his pavilion, Darkness of waters, clouds of vapours.
12 De la brilo antaŭ Li, tra Liaj densaj nuboj, Flugis hajlo kaj brulantaj karboj.
Out of the brightness before him, his clouds rolled along, hail, and live coals of fire.
13 Kaj la Eternulo ektondris en la ĉielo, Kaj la Plejaltulo aŭdigis Sian voĉon; Hajlon kaj brulantajn karbojn.
Then did Yahweh thunder in the heavens, and the Highest uttered his voice, —hail, and live coals of fire.
14 Li ĵetis Siajn sagojn, kaj dispelis ilin; Ĵetis multajn fulmojn, kaj konfuzis ilin.
And he sent forth his arrows and scattered them, yea, lightnings, he shot out, and confused them.
15 Kaj malkovriĝis la kuŝujoj de la akvoj, Kaj nudiĝis la fundamentoj de la universo, De Via minaca voĉo, ho Eternulo, De la kolera spirado de Via nazo.
Then appeared the channels of waters, were uncovered the foundations of the world, —At thy rebuke O Yahweh, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
16 Li etendas el supre la brakon, kaj prenas min; Li eltiras min el grandaj akvoj;
He sent from on high, he took me, —he drew me out of many waters.
17 Li savas min de mia potenca malamiko, Kaj de miaj malamantoj, ĉar ili estas pli fortaj ol mi.
He rescued me from my foe, in his might, and from them who hated me, because they were too strong for me:
18 Ili atingis min en la tago de mia malfeliĉo; Sed la Eternulo fariĝis mia subteno.
They confronted me, in the day of my necessity, Then became Yahweh my stay:
19 Kaj Li elkondukis min en vastan lokon; Li liberigis min, ĉar Li estas favora al mi.
And brought me out, into a large place, he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
20 La Eternulo rekompencas min laŭ mia justeco; Laŭ la pureco de miaj manoj Li repagas al mi.
Yahweh rewarded me according to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands, he repaid me;
21 Ĉar mi min tenis je la vojoj de la Eternulo, Kaj mi ne faris malbonon antaŭ mia Dio.
For I had kept the ways of Yahweh, and not broken away from my God;
22 Ĉar ĉiuj Liaj leĝoj estis antaŭ mi, Kaj Liajn ordonojn mi ne forigis de mi.
For, all his regulations, were before me, and, his statutes, did I not put from me:
23 Mi estis senkulpa antaŭ Li, Kaj mi gardis min, ke mi ne peku.
So became I blameless with him, and kept myself from mine iniquity.
24 Kaj la Eternulo rekompencis min laŭ mia justeco, Laŭ la pureco de miaj manoj antaŭ Liaj okuloj.
Yahweh therefore repaid me according to my righteousness, according to the pureness of my hands, before his eyes.
25 Kun favorkorulo Vi estas favorkora, Kun piulo Vi estas pia,
With the loving, thou didst show thyself loving, —With the blameless man, thou didst show thyself blameless;
26 Kun purulo Vi agas laŭ lia pureco, Kaj kun maliculo laŭ lia maliceco.
With the pure, thou didst show thyself pure, But, with the perverse, thou didst show thyself ready to contend.
27 Ĉar humilan popolon Vi helpas, Sed altajn okulojn Vi malaltigas.
For, as for thee, an oppressed people, thou didst save, but, looks that were lofty, layedst thou low;
28 Ĉar Vi lumigas mian lumilon; La Eternulo, mia Dio, lumigas mian mallumon.
For, thou, didst light up my lamp, Yahweh my God, enlightened my darkness;
29 Ĉar kun Vi mi forkurigas militistaron, Kaj kun mia Dio mi transsaltas muron.
For, by thee, I ran through a troop, and, by my God, I leapt over a wall.
30 La vojo de Dio estas perfekta; La parolo de la Eternulo estas tute pura; Li estas ŝildo por ĉiuj, kiuj Lin fidas.
As for GOD, blameless is his way, The speech of Yahweh hath been proved, A shield, he is to all who seek refuge in him.
31 Ĉar kiu estas Dio, krom la Eternulo? Kaj kiu estas Roko, krom nia Dio?
For who is a GOD, save Yahweh? And who is a Rock, save our God?
32 Tiu Dio, kiu ĉirkaŭzonas min per forto Kaj perfektigas mian vojon;
The GOD who girded me with strength, and set forth, as blameless, my way:
33 Kiu similigas miajn piedojn al cervaj, Kaj starigas min sur miaj altaĵoj;
Planting my feet like hinds’ [feet], yea, on my high places, he caused me to stand:
34 Kiu instruas mian manon militi, Kaj miajn brakojn streĉi kupran pafarkon.
Teaching my hands to war, —so that a bow of bronze was bent by mine arms.
35 Vi donis al mi la ŝildon de Via savo; Kaj Via dekstra mano subtenas min, Kaj Via favoro min grandigas.
Thus didst thou grant me, as a shield, thy salvation, —and, thy right hand, sustained me, and, thy condescension, made me great.
36 Vi larĝigas mian paŝon sub mi, Por ke ne ŝanceliĝu miaj piedoj.
Thou didst widen my stepping-places under me, so that, mine ankles, faltered not.
37 Mi persekutas miajn malamikojn, kaj mi atingas ilin; Kaj mi ne revenas, ĝis mi ilin pereigas.
I pursued my foes, and overtook them, and returned not, till they were consumed:
38 Mi ilin frakasas, ke ili ne povas plu leviĝi; Ili falas sub miajn piedojn.
I crushed them, and they were unable to rise, They fell under my feet.
39 Vi ĉirkaŭzonas min per forto por la milito; Miajn atakintojn Vi ĵetas sub min.
Thus didst thou gird me with strength, for the battle, Thou subduedst mine assailants under me.
40 Vi forkurigas de mi miajn malamikojn, Kaj miajn malamantojn mi ekstermas.
As for my foes, thou didst give me their neck, and, as for them who hated me, I destroyed them.
41 Ili krias, sed ne venas helpanto; Al la Eternulo, sed Li ne respondas al ili.
They cried out, but there was none to save, unto Yahweh, but he answered them not.
42 Mi disflugigas ilin, kiel polvon laŭ la vento; Kiel stratan koton mi ilin forĵetas.
Then did I beat them in pieces, like dust on the face of the wind. Like the mire in the lanes, did I scatter them.
43 Vi savas min de popola tumulto; Vi faras min ĉefo de la nacioj; Popolo, kiun mi ne konas, servas min.
Thus didst thou rescue me from the contentions of a people, —didst appoint me to be the head of nations, A people I had not known, served me:
44 Per atentaj oreloj ili obeas min; Aligentuloj respektegas min.
At the hearing of the ear, they submitted to me, the sons of the foreigner, came cringing unto me:
45 Aligentuloj senfortiĝas, Kaj kuras terurite el siaj fortikaĵoj.
The sons of the foreigner, lost heart, and came quaking out of their fortresses.
46 Vivas la Eternulo; kaj benata estu mia Roko; Kaj alte glorata estu la Dio de mia savo:
Yahweh liveth and, blessed, be my Rock, yea, exalted, be the God of my salvation:
47 Tiu Dio, kiu donas al mi venĝon Kaj submetas al mi popolojn,
The GOD, who hath avenged me, —and subjugated peoples under me:
48 Kiu savas min de miaj malamikoj, Altigas min super miaj atakintoj, Kaj savas min de perfortulo.
Who hath delivered me from my foes, —Yea, from mine assailants, hast thou set me on high, From the man of violence, hast thou rescued me.
49 Tial mi gloras Vin, ho Eternulo, inter la popoloj, Kaj pri Via nomo mi kantas.
For this cause, will I praise thee among the nations, O Yahweh, and, to thy Name, will I sweep the strings: —
50 Li donas grandan helpon al Sia reĝo, Kaj faras favoraĵon al Sia sanktoleito, Al David kaj al lia idaro, por eterne.
Who hath made great the victories of his King, —and shown lovingkindness to his Anointed One, To David and to his Seed, Unto times age-abiding.
