Jesaja 16
1 Sendu ŝafidon al la reganto de la tero el Sela en la dezerto sur la monton de la filino de Cion.
Send the lambs for the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, to the mountain of the daughter of Zion.
2 Kiel vaganta birdo, elpelita el la nesto, tiel estos la filinoj de Moab ĉe la transirejoj de Arnon.
For it will be that as wandering birds, as a scattered nest, so will the daughters of Moab be at the fords of the Arnon.
3 Aranĝu konsilon, faru decidon; simile al nokto faru vian ombron meze de la tago; kaŝu la elpelitojn, ne malkaŝu la vaganton.
Give counsel. Execute justice. Make your shade like the night in the midst of the noonday. Hide the outcasts. Do not betray the fugitive.
4 Miaj elpelitaj Moabidoj loĝu ĉe vi; estu por ili ŝirmo kontraŭ la rabanto, ĝis ĉesiĝos la premado, finiĝos la rabado, malaperos la piedpremanto el la lando.
Let my outcasts dwell with you. As for Moab, be a hiding place for him from the face of the destroyer. For the extortioner is brought to nothing. Destruction ceases. The oppressors are consumed out of the land.
5 Kaj fortikiĝos trono per favorkoreco, kaj sur ĝi kun justeco en la tendo de David sidos juĝisto, celanta justecon, akcelanta la veron.
A throne will be established in loving kindness. One will sit on it in truth, in the tent of David, judging, seeking justice, and swift to do righteousness.
6 Ni aŭdis pri la fiereco de Moab, ke ĝi estas tre granda; lia malhumileco kaj fiereco kaj furiozado estas pli granda, ol lia forto.
We have heard of the pride of Moab, that he is very proud; even of his arrogance, his pride, and his wrath. His boastings are nothing.
7 Tial ĝemkrios Moab pri si mem, ĉiuj ĝemkrios; pri la fundamentoj de Kir-Ĥareset ili ploras, profunde frapitaj.
Ah, let not Moab wail; let everyone wail for Moab. You will mourn for the raisin cakes of Kir Hareseth, utterly stricken.
8 Ĉar la kampoj de Ĥeŝbon dezertiĝis, ankaŭ la vinberĝardenoj de Sibma; la estroj de la popoloj dishakis la plej bonajn branĉojn, kiuj atingis ĝis Jazer, etendiĝis en la dezerton; ĝiaj markotoj disĵetiĝis, transiris la maron.
For the fields of Heshbon languish with the vine of Sibmah. The lords of the nations have broken down its choice branches, which reached even to Jazer, which wandered into the wilderness. Its shoots were spread abroad. They passed over the sea.
9 Tial per la ploro de Jazer mi ploros pri la vinberĝardeno de Sibma; mi priverŝos vin per miaj larmoj, ho Ĥeŝbon kaj Eleale; ĉar krioj de triumfo falis sur viajn somerajn fruktojn kaj sur vian grenrikolton.
Therefore I will weep with the weeping of Jazer for the vine of Sibmah. I will saturate you with my tears, Heshbon, and Elealeh: for on your summer fruits and on your harvest the battle shout has fallen.
10 Foriĝis de la kampo ĝojo kaj gajeco, kaj en la vinberĝardenoj oni ne kantas nek ĝojkrias; vinon en la vinpremejoj oni ne premas; la ĝojkriojn Mi ĉesigis.
Gladness is taken away, and joy out of the fruitful field; and in the vineyards there will be no singing and there will be no jubilant shouting. Nobody will tread out wine in the presses. I have made the shouting stop.
11 Tial mia interno sonas pri Moab kiel harpo, kaj mia koro pri Kir-Ĥeres.
Therefore my heart sounds like a harp for Moab, and my inward parts for Kir Heres.
12 Kaj kiam montriĝos, ke Moab senfortiĝis sur la altaĵo, kaj eniros en sian templon, por preĝi, li nenion atingos.
It will happen that when Moab presents himself, when he wearies himself on the high place, and comes to his sanctuary to pray, that he will not prevail.
13 Tio estas la vorto, kiun la Eternulo diris pri Moab antaŭ longe.
This is the word that the LORD spoke concerning Moab in time past.
14 Sed nun la Eternulo diris jene: Post tri jaroj, kiel estas la jaroj de dungito, malaltiĝos la gloro de Moab kun la tuta grandnombreco, kaj restos tre malmulte, malgrandnombre.
But now the LORD has spoken, saying, "Within three years, as a worker bound by contract would count them, the glory of Moab shall be brought into contempt, with all his great multitude; and the remnant will be very small and feeble."
