1 Kaj ni turnis nin kaj ekiris laŭ la vojo al Baŝan. Kaj eliris kontraŭ nin Og, la reĝo de Baŝan, li kaj lia tuta popolo, por batalo apud Edrei.

Then turned we and went up, the way of Bashan; and Og king of Bashan, came out to meet us, he, and all his people, to give battle at Edrei.

2 Kaj la Eternulo diris al mi: Ne timu lin; ĉar en vian manon Mi transdonis lin kaj lian tutan popolon kaj lian landon, kaj vi faros al li, kiel vi faris al Siĥon, la reĝo de la Amoridoj, kiu loĝis en Ĥeŝbon.

And Yahweh said unto me: Do not fear him, for into thy hand, have I delivered him and all his people and his land, —so then thou shalt do unto him, as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites who was dwelling in Heshbon.

3 Kaj la Eternulo, nia Dio, transdonis en nian manon ankaŭ Ogon, la reĝon de Baŝan, kaj lian tutan popolon; kaj ni batis lin tiel, ke neniu restis ĉe li.

Then did Yahweh our God deliver into our hand, Og also, king of Bashan and all his people, —so we smote him until there was not left remaining to him a survivor.

4 Kaj ni militakiris tiam ĉiujn liajn urbojn; ne estis urbo, kiun ni ne prenis de ili: sesdek urbojn, la tutan distrikton de Argob, la regnon de Og la Baŝana.

And we captured all his cities, at that time, there was no fortress which we took not from them, —sixty cities all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

5 Ĉiuj tiuj urboj estis fortikigitaj per alta muro, per pordegoj kaj rigliloj, krom la tre multaj urboj ne fortikigitaj.

All these, were fortified cities each with a high wall, folding gates and a bar, —besides country towns exceeding many.

6 Kaj ni ekstermis ilin, kiel ni faris al Siĥon, la reĝo de Ĥeŝbon, ni ekstermis en ĉiu urbo la virojn, la virinojn, kaj la infanojn;

And we devoted them to destruction, doing unto them as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, —devoting to destruction every city of males, the women, and the little ones.

7 sed ĉiujn brutojn kaj la rabaĵon el la urboj ni prenis al ni, kiel militakiraĵon.

But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, made we our prey.

8 Kaj ni prenis tiam el la manoj de la du reĝoj de la Amoridoj la landon, kiu estas transe de Jordan, de la torento Arnon ĝis la monto Ĥermon

Thus did we at that time take the land out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites (which was over the Jordan), —from the ravine of Arnon as far as Mount Hermon.

9 la Cidonanoj nomas Ĥermonon Sirjon, kaj la Amoridoj nomas ĝin Senir),

Sidonians, call Hermon Sirion, —but, the Amorites, call it Senir.

10 ĉiujn urbojn sur la ebenaĵo, kaj la tutan Gileadon kaj la tutan Baŝanon ĝis Salĥa kaj Edrei, urboj de la regno de Og la Baŝana.

All the cities of the table-land, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, —unto Salecah, and Edrei, —cities of the kingdom of Og, in Bashan.

11 Ĉar nur Og, la reĝo de Baŝan, estis restinta el la resto de la Rafaidoj. Jen estas lia lito, fera lito, jen ĝi estas en Raba de la Amonidoj: naŭ ulnoj estas ĝia longeco kaj kvar ulnoj estas ĝia larĝeco, laŭ la ulnoj de viro.)

For, only Og, king of Bashan was left remaining of the remnant of the giants, lo! his bedstead, was a bedstead of iron, is not, the same, in Rabbath of the sons of Ammon? nine cubits, the length thereof and four cubits, the breadth thereof, by the fore-arm of a man.

12 Kaj tiun landon ni ekposedis en tiu tempo: de Aroer, kiu estas apud la torento Arnon, kaj duonon de la monto Gilead kun ĝiaj urboj mi donis al la Rubenidoj kaj al la Gadidoj;

And this land, took we in possession at that time, —from Aroer which is by the ravine of Arnon, and half the hill-country of Gilead and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites;

13 kaj la ceteran parton de Gilead kaj la tutan Baŝanon, la regnon de Og, mi donis al duono de la tribo de Manase, la tutan distrikton de Argob. (La tutan tiun Baŝanon oni nomas lando de Rafaidoj.

but the remainder of Gilead, and all Bashan the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh, —all the region of the Argob with all Bashan. The same, is called, A land of giants.

14 Jair, filo de Manase, prenis la tutan distrikton de Argob ĝis la limo de la Geŝuridoj kaj Maaĥatidoj, kaj li donis al Baŝan laŭ sia nomo la nomon Vilaĝoj de Jair, tiel estas ĝis nun.)

Jair, son of Manasseh, took all the region of Argob, as far as the boundary of the Geshurites, and the Maachathites, —and called them after his own name The Bashan of Havvoth-jair unto this day.

15 Kaj al Maĥir mi donis Gileadon.

And, unto Machir, gave I Gilead;

16 Kaj al la Rubenidoj kaj al la Gadidoj mi donis de Gilead ĝis la torento Arnon, kun la mezo de la valo por limo; ankaŭ ĝis la torento Jabok, limo de la Amonidoj;

And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites, gave I—from Gilead even as far as the ravine of Arnon, the middle of the ravine and boundary, —even as far as the Jabbok ravine, the boundary of the sons of Ammon;

17 kaj la stepon, kun Jordan por limo, de Kineret ĝis la maro de la ebenaĵo, la Sala Maro, ĉe la bazo de Pisga en la oriento.

the Waste Plain also and the Jordan and boundary, —from Chinnereth, even as far as the sea of the Waste Plain the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah, on the east.

18 Kaj mi faris al vi ordonon en tiu tempo, dirante: La Eternulo, via Dio, donis al vi ĉi tiun landon, por ke vi posedu ĝin; armitaj iru antaŭ viaj fratoj la Izraelidoj, ĉiuj militkapablaj.

So I commanded you, at that time saying, —Yahweh your God hath given unto you this land to possess it, armed, shall ye pass over before your brethren the sons of Israel all the sons of valour,

19 Nur viaj edzinoj kaj viaj infanoj kaj viaj brutaroj — mi scias, ke vi havas grandnombrajn brutarojn — restu en viaj urboj, kiujn mi donis al vi;

Only, your wives and your little ones and your cattle—I know that ye have much cattle—shall abide in your cities which I have given unto you;

20 ĝis la Eternulo donos ripozon al viaj fratoj, kiel al vi, kaj ili ankaŭ ekposedos la landon, kiun la Eternulo, via Dio, donas al ili transe de Jordan; tiam vi reiros ĉiu al sia posedaĵo, kiun mi donis al vi.

until that Yahweh shall give rest unto your brethren, as well as you, so shall, they too, possess the land which, Yahweh your God, is giving unto them, over the Jordan, —then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given unto you.

21 Kaj al Josuo mi ordonis en tiu tempo, dirante: Viaj okuloj vidis ĉion, kion la Eternulo, via Dio, faris al tiuj du reĝoj; tiel la Eternulo faros al ĉiuj regnoj, kiujn vi trairos.

Joshua also, commanded I, at that time saying, —Thine are the eyes, that have seen all that Yahweh your God hath done unto these two kings, thus, will Yahweh do unto all the kingdoms whereunto thou, art passing over:

22 Ne timu ilin; ĉar la Eternulo, via Dio, batalas por vi.

ye shall not fear them, —for, Yahweh your God, he, it is that is fighting for you.

23 Kaj mi preĝis al la Eternulo en tiu tempo, dirante:

Then sought I Yahweh at that time, for a favour saying:

24 Mia Sinjoro, ho Eternulo! Vi komencis montradi al Via servanto Vian grandecon kaj Vian fortan manon; ĉar kie estas dio en la ĉielo aŭ sur la tero, kiu povus fari simile al Viaj faroj kaj al Via potenco?

My Lord Yahweh, thou thyself, hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy firm hand, —as to which, what GOD is there, in the heavens or in the earth, that can do according to thy doings, and according to thy mighty deeds?

25 Mi dezirus transiri kaj vidi tiun bonan landon, kiu estas transe de Jordan, tiun belan monton kaj Lebanonon.

Let me pass over, I pray thee that I may see the good land that is over the Jordan, —this good mountain, and the Lebanon.

26 Sed la Eternulo ekkoleris kontraŭ mi pro vi kaj ne aŭskultis min; kaj la Eternulo diris al mi: Sufiĉe, ne parolu al Mi plu pri tio.

But Yahweh had been provoked with me for your sakes, and hearkened not unto me, —and Yahweh said unto me, Enough for thee! do not add a word unto me further in this matter.

27 Supreniru sur la supron de Pisga, kaj direktu viajn okulojn al okcidento kaj al nordo kaj al sudo kaj al oriento kaj rigardu per viaj okuloj; ĉar vi ne transiros ĉi tiun Jordanon.

Ascend the top of the Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes—westward, and northward and southward and eastward—and see with thine own eyes, —for thou shalt not pass over this Jordan.

28 Kaj donu instrukciojn al Josuo kaj fortigu kaj kuraĝigu lin, ĉar li transiros antaŭ ĉi tiu popolo, kaj li posedigos al ili la landon, kiun vi vidos.

But command thou Joshua and confirm him and embolden him, —for, he, shall pass over before this people, and, he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.

29 Kaj ni restis en la valo, kontraŭ Bet-Peor.

So we abode in the valley, over against Beth-peor.
