Numbers 9
1 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, in the wilderness of Sinai, in the second year of their going out of the land of Egypt, in the first month, saying,
Et le Seigneur parla à Moïse dans le désert de Sina, en la seconde année depuis leur sortie d'Egypte, pendant le premier mois, disant:
2 'Also, the sons of Israel prepare the passover in its appointed season;
Parle, et que les fils d'Israël fassent la pâque au moment indiqué.
3 in the fourteenth day of this month between the evenings ye prepare it in its appointed season; according to all its statutes, and according to all its ordinances ye prepare it.'
Le quatorzième jour de la première lune, sur le soir, tu feras la pâque comme il est prescrit; tu la feras selon sa loi et ses rites.
4 And Moses speaketh unto the sons of Israel to prepare the passover,
Moïse ordonna donc aux fils d'Israël de célébrer la pâque,
5 and they prepare the passover in the first [month], on the fourteenth day of the month, between the evenings, in the wilderness of Sinai; according to all that Jehovah hath commanded Moses, so have the sons of Israel done.
A partir du quatorzième jour de la lune, dans le désert de Sina, comme le Seigneur le lui avait prescrit; et ils obéirent.
6 And there are men who have been defiled by the body of a man, and they have not been able to prepare the passover on that day, and they come near before Moses, and before Aaron, on that day,
Cependant, quelques hommes qui étaient impurs à cause d'un mort s'approchèrent; empêchés par là de faire la pâque ce même jour, ils vinrent auprès d'Aaron et de Moïse,
7 and those men say unto him, 'We are defiled by the body of a man; why are we withheld so as not to bring near the offering of Jehovah in its appointed season, in the midst of the sons of Israel?'
Et ils dirent à ce dernier: Nous qui sommes impurs à cause d'un mort, devons-nous seuls, parmi les fils d'Israël, être privés d'offrir des dons au Seigneur, dans le temps qu'il a prescrit?
8 And Moses saith unto them, 'Stand ye, and I hear what Jehovah hath commanded concerning you.'
Attendez, leur répondit Moïse; je vais ouïr ce que le Seigneur ordonnera vous concernant.
9 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
Et le Seigneur dit à Moïse:
10 'Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, Though any man is unclean by a body or in a distant journey (of you or of your generations), yet he hath prepared a passover to Jehovah;
Parle aux fils d Israël, et dis-leur: Tout homme qui sera impur à cause d'un mort, ou qui sera en voyage loin de vous, en toutes vos générations, fera aussi la pâque.
11 in the second month, on the fourteenth day, between the evenings they prepare it; with unleavened and bitter things they eat it;
Le quatorzième jour de la seconde lune au soir, il la célèbrera; il la mangera. avec des azymes et des légumes amers.
12 they do not leave of till morning; and a bone they do not break in it: according to all the statute of the passover they prepare it.
Il n'en laissera rien pour le jour suivant; il n'en broiera pas les os; il fera la pâque selon la loi.
13 'And the man who is clean, and hath not been on a journey, and hath ceased to prepare the passover, even that person hath been cut off from his people; because the offering of Jehovah he hath not brought near, in its appointed season, that man doth bear his sin.
Tout homme pur qui ne sera pas en voyage au loin, et qui manquera de faire la pâque, sera exterminé parmi le peuple, pour n'avoir pas fait d'offrande au Seigneur dans le temps présent; cet homme portera son péché.
14 'And when a sojourner sojourneth with you, then he hath prepared a passover to Jehovah, according to the statute of the passover, and according to its ordinance, so he doth; one statute is to you, even to a sojourner, and to a native of the land.'
Et si un prosélyte s'est réuni à vous en votre terre, il fera aussi la pâque du Seigneur; il la fera selon la loi et les rites; il n'y aura qu'une loi parmi vous pour le prosélyte et pour l'indigène.
15 And in the day of the raising up of the tabernacle hath the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the tent of the testimony; and in the evening there is on the tabernacle as an appearance of fire till morning;
Le jour ou fut dressé le tabernacle, une nuée enveloppa la maison du témoignage. Et le soir, il y eut, sur le tabernacle, comme un feu jusqu'au matin.
16 so it is continually; the cloud covereth it, also the appearance of fire by night.
Et il en fut de même toujours; le tabernacle fut enveloppé le jour d'une nuée, et comme d'un feu pendant la nuit.
17 And according to the going up of the cloud from off the tent and afterwards do the sons of Israel journey; and in the place where the cloud doth tabernacle, there do the sons of Israel encamp;
Lorsque la nuée montait et s'éloignait du tabernacle, aussitôt les fils d'Israël levaient le camp, et au lieu où la nuée s'arrêtait les fils d'Israël stationnaient. Car il leur avait été dit:
18 by the command of Jehovah the sons of Israel journey, and by the command of Jehovah they encamp; all the days that the cloud doth tabernacle over the tabernacle they encamp.
Les fils d'Israël stationneront et lèveront leur camp à l'ordre du Seigneur; tous les jours pendant lesquels la nuée ombragera le tabernacle, les fils d'Israël camperont.
19 And in the cloud prolonging itself over the tabernacle many days, then have the sons of Israel kept the charge of Jehovah, and journey not,
Aussi longtemps que la nuée sera étendue sur le tabernacle, les fils d'Israël obéiront à l'ordre de Dieu, et ils ne lèveront point leur camp.
20 and so when the cloud is a number of days over the tabernacle; by the command of Jehovah they encamp, and by the command of Jehovah they journey.
Et, dociles à la voix du Seigneur, ils s'arrêteront tant que la nuée ombragera le tabernacle; au commandement du Seigneur, ils lèveront leur camp.
21 And so when the cloud is from evening till morning, when the cloud hath gone up in the morning, then they have journeyed; whether by day or by night, when the cloud hath gone up, then they have journeyed.
Lorsque la nuée aura persisté du soir au matin et qu'elle s'enlèvera le matin, ils lèveront le camp dans la journée ou dans la nuit suivante.
22 Whether two days, or a month, or days, in the cloud prolonging itself over the tabernacle, to tabernacle over it, the sons of Israel encamp, and journey not; and in its being lifted up they journey;
Et si la nuée maintient son ombre au delà d'une lune entière, les fils d'Israël continueront de camper, et ils ne se mettront point en marche.
23 by the command of Jehovah they encamp, and by the command of Jehovah they journey; the charge of Jehovah they have kept, by the command of Jehovah in the hand of Moses.
Ils ne partiront qu'au commandement du Seigneur; tels étaient les commandements de Dieu que leur avait transmis Moïse; ils s'y conformaient et ils obéissaient aux ordres du Seigneur.
